This is big... Hopefully, just a misplaced texture. On the other hand, why are the readouts on the wings saying 5 / 10 / 20 instead of 10 / 20 / 40?

I'm sorry if this is something obvious that I missed, it's been reported or my memory simply failed my (@ work atm) but are the flap deflection angle numbers on the flaps themselves correctly labeled? All I read about in the manual is 10, 20 and 40 degrees but I could swear the inscriptions on the wings say 5, 10 and 20... :huh:

Page 99 of the Manual says: "Cold Weather Start Handle (not implemented)".

I am going to ask Santa for a nice simulation cockpit/chassis/desk this year. I've had a quick look on the net but the kits I liked were either sold outside of the UK or out of stock. I won't lie to you - I'd like to avoid having to pay customs charges after importing loads of metal from the USA.. That is why I need a UK supplier. The pic below shows more or less what I'm dreaming about. Could anyone point me in the right direction?

I'm not sure if you've noticed but I just discovered that when the props hit the ground sometimes not all of the blades bend, depending on the actual situation.. :clap: That's amazing! The detail on this bird (as all other DCS aircraft) never seizes to amaze me! Great job ED/TFC!

Yes, also one can setup the elevator trim to +2 degrees despite the manual saying it can only operate between -6 and +1.

As I was reading the manual I discovered that the K4 has had a wide variety of engine types installed over the course of it's "short" life. According to the manual they were: DB-605B, DB 605DC, DB-605ASC, DB-605ASC and DB 605L. Which one is actually modeled in the sim?

The "blurry textures" is what I'm talking about. I don't see the point of modelling the prop all the time when it spins thousands rpm but the texture and the script governing it's behavior could be upgraded to simulate those rpm changes. We can see the "shadows" of the blades in the loading screen before the mission. You could also see the pic below to see what I mean. That "shadow" changes the speed of it's spin depending on the rpm and can even spin in the opposite direction with the rpm low/high enough. I'm no expert but I believe this is called the stroboscopic effect (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stroboscopic_effect). I remember Il-2 Sturmovik 1946 modeled that to some extent. It was a very nice touch that added to the realism and it allowed to "feel" the speed and acceleration better. PS. The propeller cap with the famous German paint jobs would benefit from this as well...

Since I started to fly more propeller driven aircraft lately I noticed a detail that doesn't keep up with the overall quality of the models - the animation of a spinning prop (it simply looks unnatural, both seen from the outside and the cockpit). I read that this was an "engine related issue/limitation" but since EDGE/DCS World 2.0 is coming soon, could one hope for this to be addressed in the engine upgrade?

Please, don't bash me if I missed the obvious but: 1. I pre-purchased K4 in October. 2. I read it will be released December 3rd and I see it already has been. 3. I logged in onto my DCS account and clicked: Personal Section -> My Orders -> DCS: Bf 109 K-4 Kurfurst (pre-sell) -> Download. Got a nasty: "Sorry, but the product files are not available at the moment." message... Any idea why? Thanks!

Attracted by the new Su-27 I'd like to spend some time with this fine jet. Are there any manuals out there for this bird? I usually fly the Hog or the Dora so this aircraft's avionics (made in Soviet Union vs. USA) and A2A features in general aren't my strongest side.. I'd definitely use some help. :helpsmilie:

Neither is mine. It seems to be the main website related but looks genuine and IMHO is sent from the DCS servers.

So, what should we do, I mean can I go to bed and be sure nobody is stealing my jets? ;) Is a password change even advised at this time?
