Thank you all very much for your assistance!

I confirm - this is happening to me too.

Hi, Me and my friend have been flying the A-10C over Nevada last couple of days admiring it's complexity and might, trying to learn a thing or two in the meantime. Would you please try to resolve the issues I listed below for us? 1. When the AGM-65 is tracking an area on the ground and I flip the Master Arm switch to SAFE and back to ON it loses the track and is no longer ground stabilised. Also, the Autopilot switches off for a moment allowing the nose to drop a little but then climbs back to altitude. Is this normal? 2. I mapped the Main Wheel Brake (W) to my HOTAS Warthog Pinkie Lever for equal braking but when I press it the aircraft gets pulled slightly to the left. I have the TGP and ECC Pods loaded on the opposite sides for balance. Why is this still happening? 3. I have created a simple test flight from Nellis but for some reason I cannot get any requests fulfilled by the ground crew (rearming, refuelling, folding the ladder, etc.). Instead, I'm hearing some Morse Code signals all the time. Can you assist? Thanks in advance!

Soo.. this is still not fixed? Since September?!

I wish there were plans to make the DCS Carriers "manageable".. Deck Management, AI Aircraft Patrol Management, Cat & Trap Management/Scoring.. There is so much potential! This could be your next module - just look how much fun people are having as JTACs..

These are a different type brakes. Toe brakes have less authority than the ones activated by a lever on the stick.

Hi, I had a major PC failure and lost all my data, including my Warthog input. No worries - I memorised it many months ago but assigning the controls back again it made me realise that some of them were very rarely used - either because I was an ignorant or because they actually weren't that important.. The ones I'm on about are "Predicted Target Range Decrease" & "Predicted Target Range Increase". I "kinda" understand the mechanic behind it but I can't remember when I used it last time. Perhaps that's my mistake and it's the explanation why I get shot down so often ;P but perhaps these functions are not crucial to the effectiveness of the Sukhoi. What are your thoughts? I could definitely use 2 unassigned inputs...

That's a very good question. I'm interested in the answer as well.

Haha! :D Very good! :) Add to this the lightning-fast roll response on the Eagle.

Forgive me if I'm wrong or missed something but I noticed yesterday that my Pressure Altimeter stops at 9,050 meters. So does the HUD readout.. After continuing to climb for a while the readout suddenly jumped to 9,500m. I consulted the manual but couldn't find any info on the top limit for this gauge.

How do you think Su-33 would do in a guns-only dogfight against Su-27 (similar pilot skills). A tiny bit of extra thrust and canards vs 3 tonnes less...

List of bugs that I've found in SU-33 beta
Belphe replied to AJaromir's topic in Su-33 for DCS World
When I extended the arrestor hook while landed and stationary I noticed that it doesn't touch the surface which means that when you touchdown on the deck ahead of the cables and the aircraft sits on all 3 wheels the arrestor hook will travel above all of them. I'm not sure that's how it should be but to me this seems to be the reason why we are not "trappin'".. -
One thing that could help is separate engine management: burn the right engine and idle the left together wigh full left rudder.

I noticed there is no signalisation in the lower left front dash in the cickpit of the extended airbrake. -
OMG! I'm 36 but I feel like a hyped teenager! :megalol: LANTIRN?! "D"?!?!?!

** UPDATE: F-14 Flight Model - Episode I - "The Basics" **
Belphe replied to Cobra847's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
OMG, it's happening! :D -
Could someone confirm/deny this? Is the geometry off or do the real-life Hog Drivers lean forward to see their HUDs in full?
-
This works but the HUD symbols become obscured as it doesn't scale down. Is there a way around it?
-
Again, thank you all so much for your help! @hansangb: VR Zoom? Tell me more.. :) Also, don't you find the pilot position on the Hog waaay too far to the front? I tried moving back in the sim (RShift+RCtrl+Num/) but the HUD doesn't scale and the bottom bits of information becomes invisible.. Cab anything be done with that (before VR, when using TrackIR I was simply maping Zoom View axis to my HOTAS slider..) Thanks

Thank you all for your answers! As soon as I'm home I'll test all your suggestions. I do have a couple of extra questions too: 8. @molevitch - Yes, I normally use glasses as I'm a bit short-sighted but I use contact lenses when I fly. What sort lenses do you mean, glass ones that substituted the originals?! Where did you get them from? 9. Is there a way to decide if I want DCS to launch for Rift or for the standard screen? Right now starting the sim launches it for the Rift thus rendering it in a narrower resolution. Pressing Alt+Enter expands the screen but it's not the same.. 10. How do you guys do the "cockpit mouse-clicking"? I still use the standard method but I was curious if there was a way to maybe map a key on the HOTAS and direct the cursor with my head...? 11. Yesteday I added DCS to the Oculus Library manually and "vouched" for it as the Rift software said it came from an unknown source. I was curious if this was the right way to do it or is DCS perhaps redeemable as other sims out there, e.g. Elite Dangerous? 12. Is this normal that there's a 3D Su-27 locked in the hangar just "next" to the main menu DCS 2.1.1? Can I have other aircraft there as well? Thanks!

Hi, Here are some of my PC specs: - i7 7700K @4.5GHz - GTX 1080 FTW @3840x2160 - 16 GB DDR4 @ 3200MHz - Oculus Rift (new member of the family, courtesy of Oculus Summer Sale) I used to run DCS in Ultra HD with TrackIR but since this morning I'm a changed man.. ;) However, with Rift a whole bunch of questions arose: 1. Does the fact that the sim is still displayed on the monitor (in a very strange, narrow resolution) as well as through the goggles mean that the graphics card is rendering it twice? 2. If so, can the monitor image be disabled so that that graphics card can get "all the power" for the image in the goggles? 3. Is keeping 3840x2160 resolution a good idea if the goggles can only do 1920x1080? 4. What should be my Pixel Density set up for considering my PC specs? 5. Is it normal that the image is so blured that I can't read some of the gauges and ABRIS text inside the Ka-50? 6. Does the Oculus have/need any Software to modify it's working parameters? 7. Is it normal that during my first vertical take off in the Black Shark and after pushing the stick forward the sensation of falling was so strong that I moved back in the chair and shouted? :D Thanks for reading! ~Belphe

Hi, I know some of you are already basking in the awesomeness of the upcoming Su-33 PFM. I was wondering how the performance of this magnificent aircraft compared to it's predecessor - the Su-27. Is the magic "S" button still there? Are the super-sharp turns with the brake button pressed equally sharp? Are the extra weight and different wing design pros or cons? Finally, are the canards propelling the fun of flying this bird or rather spoiling it, making it "too stable"? Thanks to all that share their experience!

Hi ED! Could you let us know if gun pods are planned for future release? Thank you.

**Heatblur Development Update - Q1 2017**

This post (info on the F-14 in particular) is the best thing that happened to me today.. :P -
Hi All, Me and my friend have recently purchased the M-2000C modules and had a huge amount of fun learning how to operate it. To a Su-27 fan such as myself it was "disturbing" to discover that the Mirage was faster, climbed better and accelerated like a bullet (energy regaining). Potential dogfights against that machine were lost.. However, after trying out the M-2000C's air to air weapons I realised that the short ranges of Magic and Super missiles were it's big flaw (not to mention 2x 125 rounds of gun ammo). I am yet to test it but it seems reasonable to think that if both aircraft were 100km away from each other with no means to play "hide and seek" the Mirage would have been shot down long before getting close enough to employ it's weapons. On the other hand, all I see on youtube is videos titled "M-2000C - the Sukhoi Killer" or "1 Mirage vs. 3 Su-27s"... What are your general thoughts on the subject of these two aircraft facing each other? What are the odds and your multiplayer experience? Thanks!
