VAICOM 2.0 for VoiceAttack
redtail replied to Hollywood_315's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Fantastic news! I've only briefly used 2.0 due to limited time, but it is an impressive addition to the hobby, especially in VR. Looking forward to trying out 2.5 Pro! Thanks -
Great! I'd like to say, the SE version looks incredible in my setup. Well worth it:thumbup: I have my HOTAS Warthog stick and throttle mounted to my seat. Thank you.

Andre, I am really enjoying my Jetseat, especially with the DCS Huey! It's a great addition to my simulation and the perfect companion to VR. I've tried it with DCS and X-Plane and it's great. Will SSA / Wings support Aerofly FS2? Thanks
-
I really wish I could say that, but 2.1 has been a stuttering mess in VR on my system, compared to 1.5 I built this a few months ago: i7-7700k overclocked @5.0Ghz, 32gb DDR4, SSD, GTX 1080ti FTW3....for crying out loud:pilotfly: The P-51D runs much better than the A-10C in 2.1, but definitely not "incredibly smooth".
-
This actually makes sense. I'll have to do some experimentation. Thanks

I propose a toggle switch in the cockpit of each aircraft that the pilot could switch on and off as desired. Preferably one that's already modeled but it's real world function is not simulated in DCS. That way, we would be able to record only the parts of a mission that we so desired, rather than the whole thing. Such as when practicing...Takeoffs, Landings, Instrument approaches, gun runs, bombing runs, dogfights, etc.
-
Is that based on your real world experience in the A10C? I only ask because my comparison was only between 2D monitor and VR. 250KIAS down low feels faster to me on my monitor.
-
Yes Patrick, I'm aware of that. I watched their VR demo at FlightSimCon, via YouTube. I'll get Flyinside for now. Thanks

Hi, I'm a happy new CV1 owner but an old DCS player (on and off that is). I'm also into X-Plane 11, but haven't tried it in the rift yet. Hopefully this weekend. I'm getting good, smooth performance in 1.5 but 2.1 is a bit stuttering. I know it's still being optimized, so I'll probably stick to 1.5 for now. My question is in reference to the sensation of speed in VR. It seems a little slow to me compared to what it feels like on a monitor. The A-10C and P-51D are the only two I've tried so far, but is that correct? Perhaps it's due to the scale of the aircraft now that I'm sitting "inside" as opposed to looking at them on a monitor. Just wanted to know what others thought on the matter. Thanks

Great! Three things that made the decision to purchase an easy one for me. 1. Total disappointment with my experience with the BK and a long desire for something better. 2. The many positive reviews I've read of the Jetseat. 3. The many positive reviews of your support and services. Now I wait;)

Order placed! Hopefully it will arrive in time for my birthday. Oct 20th:) Thanks

Hi Andre, I'm just getting back into DCS A-10C after a long hiatus. I recently picked up an Oculus CV1 and it is incredible! I've been reading this thread and became very excited to see the Jetseat. I was never really impressed with the Buttkicker (original) that I bought many years ago. I think I'll order the Sim edition from your website. I'm in NY, USA. One question, is there support for X-Plane 11? It's the only other sim I fly at the moment. Thanks
-
It's really annoying to read all of the whining about $20! Most of us spend at least that on junk food, cigarettes, beer or other crap daily. I've been into flightsims since the mid '80 s and over the years have spent hundreds of dollars on crap! Nothing yet has come even close to the level of perfection that ED delivers...nothing. I'm also a private pilot so I know a little something about flight dynamics and how a sim should feel, although I have no experience in an A-10 nor a Blackshark:) Bottom line is this, support the great work of developers like ED or don't complain when this genre dries up and dies the slow death that it's been dying and we're left with cheap cheesy "games" rather than high fidelity flight simulators.:music_whistling:
-
Wow! Definitely upgrading my shark, although due to work and family life (6 year old son) I have very little time to enjoy A-10 or BS but this is well worth the $20 upgrade price:thumbup: thanks ED keep up the good work! Sure wish these great sims were around before I got a family:music_whistling:

buy the damn sim and stop farting around! it's only 60 bucks:lol::pilotfly:

"like your private license, is a matter of putting in 40 hours in the air to qualify. More or less." Trust me, it's MORE.....a lot MORE:thumbup: Took me well over 40 hours to be confident that I wouldn't kill myself in a Cessna 172:lol: on that note, I'm having a blast flying DCS A-10 and trying to fly it well. This is about the best flightsim I've ever laid hands on! and I've have em all...dating all the way back to my Commodore-64/Amiga 500 :)
-
glad to see I didn't get inferior flight lessons :) It's just a matter of location and standards. Over here, we get the "altimeter" and that's what we set. Like others stated, I've never been tought to zero the altimeter only to use the field elevation in the rare chance the local altimeter setting is unavailable.
-
same here. I went to flight school in New Jersey back in 1998 and got my PPL in 1999 and the only thing I was taught was MSL / AGL so when given an altimeter setting from the tower, I set that and read my altitude MSL. Never got any Q's
-
Absolutely agree. Cessna-172 pilot here with about a little more than 1% of your flight time:) But i'm having a blast in this sim. For me, the Hotas Warthog is definitely worth it:thumbup: And as for FSX, well I haven't been able to go back to it nor X-Plane ever since I got my hands on DCS A-10C

:megalol::D man you are tooo funny!
-
Really sorry to hear that:( These are such a great addition to the cockpit. I don't have any flightsim buddies so I can't really get you anymore orders. I think that if more Warthog owners knew of these great covers, they'd jump on the bandwagon :) Maybe you can find a way to get the word out better, I don't know. I just happened to see a post about them while scrolling down...prior to that, I'd never visited the "for sale" thread. It was pure luck. Well, good luck :pilotfly:

They're here:) ...arrived today on my 25th job anniversary! Awesome covers! Excellent job Deadman:thumbup:

http://www.jonesbeachairshow.com/ A-10 East Demo Team:thumbup: Yeah baby, I'll be there bright and early! At least an hour or two before start time to beat the crowd. Last year I was there early and the traffic was getting heavy even then.
