What is the difference between having the Route mode activated or deactivated, when there is no PVI-800 navigation use. ?
-
Thanks. When u hold the trimmer, the AP-stabilize is always suspended right? This means that when u are not in FLT-DIR you should always work with the trimmer by holding it ? Another question, what setting of these APs is actually supposed to be on engamements 1) While in fly 2) Hovering Thank in advance

Hello SimPilots, So i finally made it to Ka-50 after 1,5 year in DCS. Probably as everyone new to this module, I wonder with Trim and APs. Sorry for writing it, I am not used to watch Youtube videos, i like it in text form. Firstly, I would like to say that I know how to use Trim in Huey and Trim + dampeners in Mi-8. Lets consider my Ka-50 always have the Bank/Pitch/heading AP on as it should be. I understand the modes using PVI-800 or having no nav and using route What confuses me and I would like to please you for short answer is: 1. When I have no PVI-800 navigation on, route mode off, what my APs actually do (Damping only / stabilizing ? how) in terms of heading/bank/pitch. 2. When i push the FLT-DIR (by manual only damping is used, no stabilization) - How it differs from the 1. mode ? in terms of heading/bank/pitch. --------- 3. Trim - when in no PVI-800 nav and having route, there is said to hold the trim to change track and release it when on desired path. Does this means trim is always to be holded when manipulated? In huey and mi-8 when i level, i just click the trimmer and its alright. For instance, in no navigation and no route mode. How to operate the trim? Just level and push the trimmer once? Thanks in advance.

Radio "Radio"/"Radio Compass" Switch Function Reversed

And I even noticed that when you are in Radio(bug1) to hear the compass, it squelch the Radio transmission from AWACS for instance (bug 2) - maybe its controlable by ARK volume. Also when using radio and pressing the channel button , when clicking again to deselect it and have no channel at all, it receive on the last selected channel (didnt tried the transmit) - dont know if this even a bug, just mentioning. -
Yeah, the fight with graphics against immersion. Got it everytime I am making my missions on monitor. Cant wait for the next gen headset and hardware. also better implementation.

So far, the best solution is to switch on the lowest frequency range 150-310 i think. And turn the numbers here, then switch to highest - it will be at same position. so by moving half on this scale, you move half of the scale in high numbers. On the small number frequencies you turn the tuning much, much higher. But of course this not remove the bugs.

you cant do refuel/rearm or repair on neutral airport. I am not sure if you can do ground power.

Dont seem as bug to me. They have it based on some data I would say. otherwise there wont be so much info in manual, training mission etc. That its the same model of instrument, doesnt mean it wasnt revised, or differently installed in A/C. Saying that they should look on mig-15 is kinda disrespectful to them from your side... I guess they definatly did in the past. Edit: That you cant move the radio switches in comp mode is probably to learn user that it wasnt suppose to do it. So probably theres a point in why u think its bugged. You should broke the thing in simulation, rather than to be prevented from it.

Hey, Radar setting for NIGHT/DAY - seems like now its day when the switch points to NIGHT. (English cockpit) Pressurization Lever (RH panel) seems function when it is in AFT position (Closed). Shouldnt it be in FORWARD position (open)? like in L39? Or it means Canopy CLOSE position ?:-) Also by this confusion I am not sure if open position for cockpit ventilation is oprative position or inoperative. Radio switch (LH panel) for listening RADIO ONLY or RADIO+COMPASS - seems like its swapped. Got the beacon sounds on RADIO instead RADIO COMPASS. Nosewheel brake - I dont know at all which position stands for brake or not. Didnt find anything about it in manual. Only connect it or disconnect it, but what state refers to what ? :-)

I have critical problem with tuning in VR. As I am using mouse as a center point of my view, when i look right on the ARK5. use button as left mouse click on the handle and then look left to tune the ark it increases very low - this way i could move my head like 10x times from one side to another, the second problem with it is, that I can´t physiologically tune clockwise, because when i have my head pointed right, i cant move it even more right, right ? :-) With this, there is problem that when i have scroll mapped on stick as well, the ARK does not react. The animation of handle is made but not a tune move. With mouse scroll, it only works when i scroll fast, when slowly just by one click, it does nothing - even another slowly scrolls doesnt help. Should be handled by setting the scroll lines in system, but thats not way how this should be treated. It will worse other scrolls. Opposite to this problem is when i scroll click once on setting wingspan or angle on ASP. it moves by 4 meters. there its hypersensitive on a low number scale. While od ARK on scale from 640-1300 it is very low and no senstive at all. currently this making tuning ADF in VR for me unbearable, even when active pause or on the ground. The neck starts to pain before i make the tune from one end to another. In different modules its perfectly controlable by scroll button on stick. And using left mouse click (on stick) and moving sight from side to side once for a big increase/decrease. I give it a try to set lines to scroll by mouse in Win 10 setings. Had 3 lines (Default) will try to adjust, and report back. Results: not a change on either stick use or mouse scroll use when i tripled the lines.

did you tried to start it? ;-) the mission

I guess upcoming MAC will adress this in some degree - there are planned free parts of some maps.

Its a difference between information what you eyes give your brain and what your https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vestibular_system give to your brain. Actually in sitting position its much better because most of your body is just same as it is in the plane. In real plane, if its start rolling you will see the same, in VR you dont feel the accelerations which are giving brain info positioning. Dont forget that there is no acceleration in either way when u are sitting, so it is just eyes what are adapting. when u play games in stand where you move etc, you can easily lose sense of how your body actually is positioned, but in seat you are always the same. This is much lighter version to cause motion sickness - because you actualy dont move, sooner your brain will act with it same as with any other motion picture i guess. Dont be scared of it. So far something what i would call motion sickness happend to me when i started with it in a 360° space flying in no gravity, you sometimes see everything up and down you have to wave your hands or crouch. after two minutes i had to sit down, anyway a couple of minutes i just punched heavily into the ground because i forgot. So you will have either time in head that its not real, which kinda delte the VR immersion, or you need to play a game which dont mess with your motion senses, which DCS is. The plane acts just how your brain expect it to acts - once you get into flying. It doesnt do something irregular normally. For instance like videos where you look right, but in video the fixed camera is forcing your vision left, this is the most motion sickness generator so far. But in DCS, you will be perfectly all right if you have no issues in cars, buses whatever.

page 80, seems like most LH / RH is incorrect. oxygen on rh, hydro, pneu gauges on LH. should be opposite i would say. just check.

then i should sorry to you for my misunderstanding. sorry

that "side feature" is making good module worst module for VR. unplayable.. and with actually most modern red aircraft its a shame how ignorant the developers are. even the whole canopy glass delete choice would be better than having module without ability to get visual. its absolutely normal to lose visual when focusing only on it. coloured and dirty. i am more capable with l39 or su25t, just because i can see the enemy and not lose them while focusing only on them. also with vigen, no problem. so it is just the canopy of mig what makes it so bad. and that proved it to me by 3 other aircrafts with no problem to do a2a and also seeing mig21 against me how they are completly blind. you should do the quick solution. peace.

Dont be scared of motion sickness, this is mostly issue for games where you stand in room and doing moves. When u siting, its much less of a problem. Ofcourse you will have to adapt a little, but not a big deal, if u are not oversensitive to such issues in real life during transportation for instance. What made me headaches was low FPS. You must stay while flying on 45 and better. Its ok to be on 30 for a while, but not below. When it starts to shutter, that can make a nice head ache. From modules - stay away from Mig 21, until it got canopy/cockpit overhaul. Quite good is L-39 if you want to enjoy nice trainer. Got nice readable instruments. For russian A/C i figured out that red lights for instruments are terrible. white lights go very nice. Because even in dark, the dark scenery is made of light in the headset, so its like darkness really doesnt exist in VR and thus cannot be threated like darkness in real life. My opinion..

Wow, I didnt even prayed. Wouldnt mind if it take more time, but damn I am looking forward to have a red A2A plane for cold war playable in VR (hopefully).

Oh, I probably got it now :-) Try the ground power. Maybe weak battery (Accumulator)
