My vote to Mi-8 as well. Very pleasure to play it even if you are not much into combat employment. It is my favourite module as well. Also, nice campaign for it are availabl. So far I can recommend the oilfield campaign if you dont look for combat engaments. The SPring Tension which is free in the module is also fine. But it sometimes doesnt work properly.

Pikey: Thank you for the post. It was quite hard reading for me to be honest so I am not sure if I understand everything correctly. I am totally looking forward for mig-23. As well for mig-19. Gonna buy them day 1. I enjoy modules in single player as well. Its not very likely to have a decent flight with L39 for instance in public PvP server. I agree with you on the opportunity of trying everything and probably one day I will decide to make a run for western aircrafts - i love the amount of training campaigns available for these.

Yeah, I definatly buying it tomorrow, but it is as you said. Its not really competitive for multiplayer where everyone is flying in Gen4 jets. But I am taking all the russian aircrafts I dont own tomorrow. Gonna take it from mig 15 as a historic run to Mig 29.

Guppy: Thanks. I understand and I probably overreacted. Sorry to those who meant it kindly. I didnt wanted to help to accomodate. I just wanted to know if there is that possibility (to change it to metric). I am not interested in US aircrafts much, but if there would be that option I would consider to try them out as there is actually lack of modern full fidelity russian aircraft and to learn new systems as well. But I dont take it as a must for me. That is why I asked if its possible and not to implement it. Just an opportunity for me, but I am not the target group here. It is just that in Multiplayer, I didnt found much use of older A/C in PvP. Otherwise I will love to play the older generations of russian jets, but these seems are now only for SP.

I don´t have these problems. Everything works fine. I would suggest to check the options but i guess you already did. I had modificator deleted and on lot of modules had the triming options deleted probably after the Open Beta Mig-29 PFM update.

I am sorry, i meant western aircraft measurement system. not the measurement system itself. I understand knots and feets too but i am not grown up in it and thats the difference.

Guys seriously. Are u such arogants? I made a VERY simple question. So stop teaching me to convert and telling me to get used to it. Answer was : NO, there is no possibility to set gauges and HUD to metric system like you can do it in L39 to imperial units. (that was the longest I could find for my question) Dont force anyone to USE(not learn) something he does apparently dont want to. I did not ask for this anyway.

Top Jockey: 1 year of DCS, I am playing almost daily. I did not say that learning western system is hard. And it definatly alter my playing when only guessing what I am actually on. Its not 2 numbers (current airspeed, altitude) its all the numbers. required speed/altitude, defensive system capabilities etc. AWACS boogie spamming. its terrible to always getting distracted by calculating these numbers. It takes precious brain capacity during intense situations. When u hear that boogie is 70 and you know how u act on it immidiatly but then you realize he is hell far away.

I am tired of constantly calculating everything. There are more important things. Maybe I am a little pedant. I am losing concentration when things are different then I am used to. Take me a lot of time to get used to it (personal problem) got it IRL as well. Like moving a monitor by 1 centimetr and i feel different about it and have to get used to it

Hey, my question is pretty simple. Is it possible to have metric hud and gauges in hornet? Or other Western aircrafts? I have seen imperial system in L39 and wish to have similar option in western aircrafts, oterwise I am completely avoiding them which is annonying cause there is no eastern full fidelity modern module. Thank you.

That was my first thought, because i dont like the commercial offer. Mabye best and probably quite cheap could be to buy from scrapper, make it reclothed or cleaned. Do a little DIY and it will be much efficient with current commercial offering.

i think that functions are not implemented. definatly not in vr. its scratches on the glass(canopy) which are visible when sun shine. same as dirty on a windows when u are driving at sunshinr or night. but i would love the cold tobe implemented so many functions and buttons could be used.

I have done the mission yesterday (10-25-2018) and it worked fine. But I agree that it was like random generator whether the missions go as intended or no after DCS 2.5 release. I started from just this mission after a 3-4 months pause from that campaign. It seem alright so far (3 missions done)

I guess the most limiting factor after you know your plane is being alone. Theres a need of wingman to be able to do more than just targets of opportunity. But maybe I am wrong.

Hey, in VR playing I am missing text which have too much lines. 1) I miss some radio uses like attack primary target and RTB etc. so i cant click it by pointing on it. 2) In blueflag mission (which is now officialy supported) I miss a lot of intel texts etc. So i know what happend in like only 6 bases. I guess there is some way to make the text smaller or something that can fix it. Can anybody give me the tip? Thank you very much.

For me, it is definetly L-39C/ZA with Kursant Campaign. It opened quite a lot of new ways for me. In VR, it is absolutely brutal feeling. I will take it after from start with mig 15 to last gen.
