  1. Is the Heatblur F-14 gonna be launched on Early Access with functional ACLS or is this system planned for later? It's a system that makes me very much interested in the Tomcat and in the Hornet too but it's not a high priority feature for the Hornet right now so chances are that the F-14 will have ACLS implemented before the F-18. In the beginning I wasn't paying much of an attention to this upcoming module, being new to DCS, but with time I realized Heatblur are - in contrary to my initial thoughts -actually very, very active when it comes to fixing bugs and adding features and communicating to us. Happy to see the upcoming stuff for the Viggen, and now I am excitedly waiting for the F-14 and I am sure it's gonna be a kickass module on par (at least) with the Hornet both visually and system depth wise. Good times ahead!
  2. I cannot seem to be able to set up a temperature over 41.3 degrees Celsius. In the Persian Gulf countries the temperature often goes above even 50 degrees. Am I doing something incorrectly or this is indeed a limitation?
  3. Besides the US (former), Iran is another (current) operator of the Tomcat. As far as I am aware, they do not have any aircraft carriers - all their Tomcats are land based. My question is, are we gonna get ILS (not ACLS) so that precision approaches can be carried out to conventional runways? Or were / are the Tomcats not equipped with ILS? Not even the ones operated by the IRIAF?
  4. Polychop has licencing issues with the Kiowa as someone else (I guess BST) already has a licence for it. Therefore Polychop are or were considering releasing the Kiowa for a civilian simulator instead. Hopefully, however, the licencing issue will be sorted out and the Kiowa will come to DCS.
  5. Same here. Never seen a buggy game like this really. Whenever they fix one bug, they introduce ten.
  6. I know, was already told by Wags on Facebook. Very disappointing.
  7. Battered and beaten but still in one piece after a rough landing (might as well call it an impact). Pretty tough machine. Love it!
  8. Not it's not. You still can't set it up in the cockpit, a "landing waypoint" still needs to be assigned...
  9. That's a weird way of doing things. We are talking about a released payware product, not even EA anymore. There's no such thing as "visual issue only" since a bug is a bug. For you, maybe it's "only" but for others it might be more important. What if I solely buy a module to take screenshots? When you purchase a car (or whatever), do you accept if it's scratched and then the agent tells you it's a visual issue only? This should also be a high priority thing and needs fixing asap. I reported it over a month ago, and found that others reported it even earlier. Please fix it.
  10. Wow, looks great! Hopefully, ED will fine tune this, it really looks distinct!
  11. Added some sandstorm, nice and low visibility - pretty cool but there's something not right around the HUD. As I am looking around, the haze obscures the HUD.
  12. Don't even know why I posted it here. Whatever.
  13. BREAKING NEWS! A Yuktobanian Mig 21 shot down the cargo Hercules that was carrying today's update.
  14. I'd say, no patch will come today. I hope I am wrong though.
  15. I would love to see a military cargo aircraft developed for DCS. Such as the Hercules, the Spartan or the like. Sure not really made for dogfighting but would be awesome to deliver troops, military cargo and equipment, drop paratroopers, land in high threat airports, do escort flights being protected by fellow fighters and much, much more.
  16. Didn't check, will do, thank you guys,
  17. See attachment from the RAZBAM Mirage 2000 manual itself. To summarize, in order to set up the synthetic runway the pilot needs to - ensure the INS is on - the airport is the current fly-to waypoint - runway data needs to be entered (glideslope angle and runway heading - and possibly runway elevation as well) -localizer and glideslope already captured The missing bit in this RAZBAM module is that we can't enter the required runway data. There should be a way to add runway data (for example in the HGS equipped Dash Q400 turboprop one needs to enter runway length, elevation and glideslope angle so I guess it's something fundamentally similar missing from this aircraft). And yes, these all are set up by the operating pilot, in the air, before the approach, and not in any sort of mission editor or on the ground. Even RAZBAM added that this is NOT FUNCTIONAL at the moment and currently the workaround is to add a "landing waypoint"in the ME. So this functionality is simply not developed and a laughable ME based step has to be carried out. The problem with this is that it's not how it works, thus it cannot be called a simulation. If you have to take a diversion airport, you can forget about the synthetic runway. Wrong.
  18. Then you clearly have no understanding of the very basics. That is not how it's done in the real Mirage (and in real world in general) so no, it's not realistic. Setting up an instrument approach is done in the flight deck and not on the ground. What if the pilot has to divert to an alternate airport due to unforeseen events? He can't just call for the "mission editor" and if the alternate airport requires a precision approach (due to weather or whatever reason) then he has to set up the approach himself, he must have all tools at hand. And he certainly does have all tools at hand in the real world, the approach is set up using the tools in the cockpit - but not in this imaginary RAZBAM aircraft that looks like a Mirage. No mission editor and other ridiculous supplementary stuff should be required. And since this is supposed to be a simulation, I expect things like shooting an approach to match that of the real world aircraft. And it's pretty much disappointing that RAZBAM hasn't added this functionality since product release meanwhile they keep announcing new stuff every other day, leaving the others half finished.
  19. Yes, according to the manual this is still the case which I find ridiculous.
