  1. Will have to check this. Last night I could also not get them off the rail.
  2. As Rudel said, my problem is not with my Coalitions, it is with the country I put my units under. I see I can probably edit the LUA file, so might give that a shot. The thought of having to redo 4 missions is not very cool.
  3. Good point here, this is not precision flying at this stage. Also the way I understand it the ship is at 1 o'clock not 3 which seems to flow better than trying to hit it as if it were supposed to be at 3.
  4. Awesome Mod thanks, except I am never slowed to land now he he..... I really got to get on the numbers he he. Sorry if going a little off topic, but the radio menu item to get the CVN details is really nice. How difficult would it be to turn that into a mod on its own? I am constantly forgetting the carrier heading etc and end up checking in the F10 map, even in my own missions (short term memory problem).
  5. Hi Guys I am a new mission builder. Busy with a small set of missions in the PG. I have been trying to place SAM sites as close to what I can find info on in real life from info on this forum, Google and Reddit. I messed this up a little and only just noticed. I have placed units for the wrong countries on the map. Eg it is Iran, but I have placed Russian SAMs and some of my Patriot and Hawk sites I copied from my Georgia Map and the sites are now Georgian. Is there a way to edit the mission files to change this without having to go into the ME? If I do it in the ME, it switches the unit type and I basically start again. Thanks, Ross
  6. To get setup, you could put a ship 5 miles out. Least you got something to aim at when you figuring out your bank angles.
  7. Nice to see the inner workings. Man your work is neat. I seriously have to start looking into running the Arduinos in master slave to try and get something like this stared.
  8. John, been meaning to ask, are you looking at doing something for the UFC? I have been toying around with ideas and designs in Fusion360 for a couple weekends now and not sure what the best option would be for a desktop pit. On the electronics side, not sure a keyboard matrix in DCS-Bios or direct mapping, or what.
  9. Very cool. I have wanted to look at Ikarus, but a 900 page thread is a bit scary. The more I look into it, the more apparent it becomes that I am going to have to start looking for additional 'small' screens. Wanted to go analog as much as possible, but building time takes away to much flying time. Keep up the great work, real inspiration to us on the fence sim builders.
  10. Flippin awesome. What are you using for a UFC?
  11. I would look at Fusion360, steep learning curve (less so that say Miya and 3D Studio Max or Blender) but great if you have a technical background.
  12. Have you guys looked at DCS-BIOS, all arduino and work perfectly. You can have a panel up in no time.
  13. Sorry man was late, I ment PLA. Like the transparent idea. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
  14. Oh man sound awesome. Lots of nice toys. How about a clear Perspex layer with an engraved black top plate then you could light from inside. Do you use PLY? Was wondering white print then top few layers in black. Engraved thru the black. Assuming the CNC doesnt melt the plastic. Geez your options are going to be almost limitless now. 15. John this is bloody fantastic man. I look at my little boxes and am embarassed. Keep it up man. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
  16. Yip, set to retarded, and when I F6 the bomb, the ballute is out, well it looks like it is out. The white balloon thinggy maggingy at the back of the bomb.
  17. The Y is a strange beast. I battled to get the pipper on target a if I do a level pass like I would with the snakeye the Y can travel quite a distance. Not very retarded feeling to me. Maybe just need to learn it more and you understand it more. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
  18. Hi Have you got you modules activated on your laptop as well as your gaming rig? This is what I have been thinking of doing to use the laptop. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
  19. All switch boxes are the same at the end of the day. I have been in touch with John about this project and I would say no these are quit different to the project by Lynx. I am not sure what controls the CUBs but these are all running DCS-BIOS (customised in some instances) and have a neat modular design using d connectors. Alk the enclosures are specifically designed for their modular and custom 3D printed. At the end of the day I would say these would be way more attainable for the average simmer, and could be built by anybody with access to a printer and some electronics skills. The CUBs require laser engravers and multiple materials. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
  20. The print will not cost much in the way of plastic, but you need to factor in electricity for running the machine anywhere between 1 to 30 hours. You also need to factor in doing this more than once, a print can fail at any stage, your design might be just a little wrong so you need to change it and print again. Very difficult to actually put a price in a print, BUT I would say 3D printing is very very worth it for ideas like this. In fact I don't think there is really any other way in the same amount of time. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
  21. Doing all this I have still never been able to reset the warning in flight. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
  22. I found having less curve helped with refiling. I think my curves are on 4 or 5. That way no big surprise as you move the stick more. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
  23. The Hornet is very limited in some ways at the moment as others have said with it being in early release, but man it is so cool to fly and plenty to keep you busy. I was so frustrated with it the other day, loaded up my Hog, reprogrammed my desktop sim button panels, setup to go ground pounding in the A-10, went for a flight and though **** this, reloaded up my Hornet and went to practice Case 1 and just fly around. Don't know what it is about that Jet, just sucks you in.
  24. Yeah in the instant action missions, there BFM missions seem to be reversed with the 15 being way harder. It definitely is not you. Fly them the other way around. (Sorry short term memory problems so I forget which jets the mission use, think it is the 29, then 21, then 15)
  25. Printing is a pain... only to find you need to make a small adjustment and print again.
