  1. Will this help? https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=211227
  2. When you have flown your mission, and in the debrief screen, there is a button to watch track. If you click that, it should show you your mission over again. You will also be able to save the track file there and watch it again later. I think you need to watch the track or some of it first before saving it or it has problems but somebody else will know for sure. After that, you use your fav vid capture and play the track again with different camera views. Can be quite frustrating because there is no FWD or RWD so you are basically real time. Don't speed up time or it will probably mess up the track file.
  3. Yeah that is what I mean. I have my pitch under control nicely now. Much better when I pull the stick now.
  4. Hey Guys Thanks for all the info. I have managed to tame the pitch quite a bit which is helping and not hampering my manoeuvrability in the spit. Patients is key her when lining up the bad guys. Loving this plane, just wish I had more time to fly her.
  5. Hi Yeah I have to take the A4 mid folder out of mods or done servers boot me. It is strange because sometimes I am in and get booted later with a impure client message or something like that. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
  6. I might be completely off here but the other day I was watching some fella on YouTube Spitfire tips and tricks and the one thing he pointed out quite quickly was if you are using FFB the stick is not really centred when in neutral. I don't use a FFB but pull up the control indicator and see where neutral is on your Spit. He was saying it is a little back which would cause a pitch up. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
  7. Um maybe ask nicely or go fly another plane. These guys put in a shit load of work and gave it to you for free.
  8. I really can't say as I am new to the Spit, but I don't think it is WIP, the module is complete. I agree it is very sensitive but then everything on the spit is super sensitive.
  9. Thanks guys. Was not able to fly last night but will take a look at my curves this evening. I don't normally set curves but noticed I had to start using some for takeoff on the Spit. Will try as suggested and try to be more gentle. I am used to the Hornet when I just yank the stick and try find as many G's as I can. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
  10. Hi Guys I picked up the Spitfire on the sale after waiting what seems like forever. This beast is a thing of beauty. I am new to props and tail draggers, mostly flying the Hornet, Hog and Huey. Did spend a bit of time in the TF-51D while I waited for my Spitfire. Been doing a lot of time in the Spitfire the last week. I am getting off the ground, it is not sexy at all, and can bring her down nicely at last. The last few nights I felt like practising what this baby was meant for and setup a simple mission 1v1 with a 109 AI. I am able to hold my own now and keep the engine in one piece. Got a few kills but the Spitfire seems to be trying to kill me. I am not sure the correct terminology but I think it is a wing tip stall. I am able to get in behind the bogey and get some rounds off, but the plane is forever 'falling out under me' when I pull to hard. I can get a great line in lag, try to pull the nose a little more and it drops out. I am assuming this is wing tip stall and is just the way the bird handles. I also seem to be blacking out quickly. Am I just pulling to hard, and must maybe learn to be more gentle, or is there a technique I can use to help with this. Coming from jets, I hardly use the rudder in turns and thought that might help but the Spit just pushes over. That 109 is a animal in the climb and going after it vertically is also a challenge. Seems in all dogfights, no matter what plane I go up against in DCS, the AI likes to climb and loop, climb and loop. Any advice, tips to help improve my chances are greatly appreciated.
  11. I will check it out thanks guys. At least I did not have to wait to fly the Spit, only all the extras. Boy that baby wants to kill me all the time.
  12. After what it must have taken to fly in the air force, then put in the time to actually fly and protect people out of a sense of duty, then be willing to try and help out and share with us flight sim geeks to make our day a little better, you have to deal with a bunch of pissy boy trolls. I am sorry you had to give into these morons, but understand why you took your decision. I really hope we are not loosing you as a member of the DCS community as a whole. That would be tragic.
  13. I am not a great combat pilot and still kinda new to DCS. I like to put together missions that let me learn the latest thing that I was looking at in the specific plane / helo but how I see it working in RL. As with the OP and some others, it is not all about combat and I am sure most times in RL when a Jet goes up, they don't get to jump right into any action if any at all. My missions must follow on, like a campaign I suppose although I have never put them together as one. You must achieve an objective so the next mission can take place. Eye candy is super important and spend many hours setting up the airport, traffic and area around the target. Sometimes it is almost zen like placing and moving units around. I am a software developer by trade and I find Mission Building like developing with pictures almost. I really need to take the time to look into scripting my missions, but I still need to fly and have not reached the right balance between flying and designing. I try to think what other pilots would like to do and if the mission would interest people, and then never have the guts to publish them, even after spending hours on the back story, intel, mission cards etc.
  14. I am new to the Spitfire and got the campaign on the sale, but alas have to wait till Christmas as my wife says it has to go in the Christmas stocking. I really can't wait to give this a fly.
  15. Looks great. Not sure what you mean with the above statement. If you are this advanced with your button box, I am sure you have heard of DCS-BIOS? With DCS-BIOS the sky is the limit for your sim.
  16. I got the Spitfire, Normandy, WWII Assets Pack and the NS 430. Spitfire is awesome but just wants to kill me. Rest of the modules are still in the box. Have to put them in my Christmas stocking so can't have them till then :(
  17. Huey works fine with the Warthog throttle as the collective. Probably best to remove the AB detent if you are using one. It feels strange having to push thru that.
  18. I am not at home right now so can't remember how to turn the LEDS off off the top of my head. IIRC they are not on by default unless you talking about the standard backlighting. (Don't think you can turn those off) Don't want to steer you on a different course but you can do more than enough for the Hornet without the Target software. You can edit the input default.lua file if you want to do it all in DCS. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
  19. Yeah sometimes seems like it gets a mind of its own and nothing you can do about it.
  20. Thanks man that is exactly what I am looking for.
  21. SO just got the Spitfire on the Autumn sale. I see the DCS-BIOS code has still not been incorporated yet. Can we get the code to add to our installs? (Like we did with the Hornet) Thanks
  22. I don't think so yet. There have been a couple discussions about it. There was one post on Mudspike that showed how to make it brighter I think. I thought I had saved the link but now forgot where. Maybe try over there.
  23. I only really know DCS-BIOS but from what you are looking for, with getting feedback (digits behind) you will need to use DCS-BIOS. It looks scary at first but once you get into it you really will be able to do so much.
  24. Does the auto pilot work in this jet yet? I have tried toggling the assigned buttons and pressing the assigned keys but it never seems to go into a auto pilot mode. The cockpit switches for the auto pilot don't seem to be clicky ones so I am not sure if it is not implemented yet or if I am doing it wrong.
  25. I read that the devs said they would add a axis for the brakes so hopefully soon. (Don't remember if it was on this forum or Reddit)
