  1. Same as reported here, aslo in GMT. SPI is not following moving target unless you switch SOI and momentarily update SPI but does not track.
  2. Excellent finding! Thank you. Hope this issue will be recognized or perhaps it will be fixed with the upcoming hts updates "tdoa".
  3. "SEAD operations conducted by F-16CJs almost invariably entailed four-ship formations, the spacing of which ensured that the first two aircraft in the flight always looked at a threat area from one side while the other two monitored it from the opposite side. That en- abled the aircraft’s HARM Targeting System, which provided only a 180-degree field of view in the forward sector, to maintain 100 percent sensor coverage of a target area" Source "Aerospace Power Journal. Volume 16, Number 2, Summer 2002. Talk about the Kosovo War and the continuing sead challenges, 1998-1999. I dont know what revision "R" hts was in use at that time, but the latest update to my knowledge was around 2007, the revision 7, HTS R7. This is what we have in Dcs World. So the FOV should be the same (( or more ?)) but more accurate, faster, etc. and it allows for use in hts network.
  4. Thank you for communicating that. I wasn't expecting any dates. I understand thats a promise hard to keep. Appreciate all the work. Looking forward for more stuff coming to dcsw.
  5. Hey it's a topic can't be answered easily. Given the fact that we mostly want to know the "when". I'm curious if ED could share some information on the next planned update for the F16. There has been many small changes since January but nothing substantial after that. From reading the previous announcements 2021 and 2022 are the following items are still in progress to be released anytime soon ? Network the flight together for HARM HTS TDOA mode to more effectively triangulate emitter locations - Assign air-to-air target sorting between flight members / Further work on Link 16 - CAS mission assignments and reception - Tuning air-to-air performance including look-down and search to bug target delay. - Air-to-Air datalink assignment functions. - Digital Maneuver Cue (DMC) and Loft indications. - IAM loft cue - Radar Velocity Search mode. Respectfully, Thanks.
  6. Im not sure! I just tried it on MT and worked fine.
  7. its a radar feature not a mode that can be selected, its always on, and not implemented, YET ! That's why it has been brought up, to discuss.
  8. Sure! You may have your own sensor radar burn through his jamming signal. Therefore Azimuth and range is calculated. However beyond that "burn through" range your radar cant calculate range, but you know his azimuth. If theres an awacs he/she can provide you with range information. So if you call strobe North, they say: strobe range 45, TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND, hot, hostile. Therefore you the pilot assess shoot criteria and act accordingly. However HOJ is not implemented and currently you cant lock on strobe, jamming targets. Theres no guesstimated range information of strobers! If radar within the burn through range it will show you that contact is jamming but at the same time it can calculate range as well. Azimuth and altitude is always known.
  9. Have you never heard of HOJ ? - i strongly recommend to do some research on that. Its not aircraft specific, its a radar feature on all if not, most an/apg radars.
  10. You both are correct! abot COAST mode and HOJ! I understand what you are talking about. But ECM was brought up so its worth to mention home on jam as well. Which isn't a thing yet in Dcs F-16, yet! As explained the radar can track a target based on azimuth, because its sees the jamming signal, but the range is unknown. This is partially true. However you can lock on the target jamming signal known as home on jam "HOJ". The radar is able to see the signal azimuth but the range is unknown
  11. Hey at least it went to wish list, so we can assume its existence as a valid radar mode. I do however did read about it in a 16cj doc.
  12. Okay! What is interesting to me is that a radar mode that was previously existed just gone. Was it perhaps renamed or remained in the system other than a submode ways ?
  13. Are you sure about that ? - just asking because F-16Cj docs suggest otherwise.
  14. What do we know about the Aspide/PL-11, How it compares to other sarh missile ?
  15. Hey all, a quick question. Im just reading roadmap update that the VSR is in development https://forum.dcs.world/topic/278635-dcs-f-16c-viper-roadmap/?do=findComment&comment=5158111 - great news. I understand everything is fresh and crisp and probably early to aks, but i wonder if LRS radar mode will be added to the Viper ? *long range search*
  16. it is fair to guess that the crashes may occur when sd10 launched once or more with or without radar guidance.
  17. Will have to until i can get the tacview file but i did what you asked. Joined in a multiplayer PvP server. Tookoff, never shot a single SD-10, never used the radar however it was activated, and let myself killed by a 120C. Surprisingly. after i got hit and killed by the amraam it never crashed to desktop. I only tried this once. Im not sure what would of happen if i continue to the same. nopccrash.zip.acmi
  18. I was just making a note that particular 120C was coming from a friendly aircraft but i dont think it has any significance to the issue. I experienced the issue from other platforms as well, but can only speak for amraams. Sorry if i confused you with the "friendly kill". These events occurred on a multiplayer server. I guess someone could try and fly online the Jf-17 waiting to be shot and killed and see what happens.
  19. From reviewing the tacview the sd-10 missile has long hit the ground and target killed by another. So i would say, no, guidance on the sd10. - attached tacview file to review. As soon 120c missile *friendlykill* hit me i than crashed to desktop. crashtodesktopuponhit.zip.acmi
  20. to me it seems the crash happening right when you get hit by a missile, (120c in my case)
  21. Launching SD-10 from low, to high contact ~close range miss the contact. All of my missiles were defeated with minimal effort. Im not sure what was goin on there but i found it very interesting. I can only give tacview file. SD_10_lookup_miss.zip.acmi
  22. TEOMOOSE

    TGP

yup is in standby mode. Click button standby and switch to A/G.
  23. It is part of the FLCS system. In short the ARI (Aileron–Rudder Interconnect), and the Yaw SAS (Stability Augmentation System) control adverse yaw and minimize side slip in the normal flight AOA conditions. The (ARI) should also be able to suppress the roll which i think is not the case in Dcs. Maybe @BIGNEWY has more info on this. PS.: cannot disable it.
  24. i know that, Why did you quote me on that! I was trying to come up with a solution.... and you basically said what i said.
  25. you dont get one hahah I sent docs to ED.
