You've said it all yourself (especially with the last sentence, which applies to many different areas)... its the real world political aspects (and also for the few nutters out there who can't distinguish), and become propaganda. That is something nobody really wants Best to just keep things fictional, that way no country gets upset... there's nothing wrong with real world simulation in a fictional setting - you're flying real world tactics (hopefully), in simulated real world systems.

the actual planes, flight dynamics, damage modelling, Systems modelling, accurate maps, etc - yes! scenarious, as in mission sides, etc... definitely fictional - too much silliness in the world these days, to play "sides". Some will take it the wrong way

Its always better to keep everything fictional (for the most part, and reinforced as such) for simulators, etc... just to keep things from being "mistaken/ or taken the wrong way"

Just to expand on the comment (but not comment on the comment)... Windows_7 works best with the Page File setting left at System Default. There have been many instances of the sim not running properly when the PF setting has been changed from default. Its a tweak which worked great on Windows XP and earlier and worked brilliantly Running a platter Harddrive as a page file mixed with SSD's as main drives, is going to cause issues
