  1. Just had the same thing happen earlier today although mine was Cyrillic "КД". Don't know what it signifies either.
  2. LAlt+L is Flashlight for an in cockpit view. This should have no effect on the F-15’s trim. So I’m wondering what key combination you actually pressed. Or is there something else involved?
  3. I'm aware. His first question, however, was which needle is for Mach and which for TAS.
  4. Thick is Mach. Thin is TAS.
  5. That makes perfect sense. Set to ILLUM, the radar is doing its radar thing plus transmitting making it the primary channel. Set to DUMMY, it's doing its radar thing and waiting to be told what to do with it.
  6. Sta low and come up behind him or from his 9 '0 clock where his radar can't see you?
  7. This is the right place. Or one of them, anyway. I ran your TRK file and also the MIS file itself. In both, as soon as the mission starts, there is an Su-25 landing right behind you which is why you get damaged. ED needs to fix the mission.
  8. It took a week to download the update and get the MiG installed but I finally have it. All I can say is "Wow!" Just had time to take her up for a quick circuit around Senaki. The takeoff handling is extremely smooth. And it's handling on landing was even better. With a bit less than the 60% fuel I took off at and 2 AAMs on the wings, she touched down at 260 km/hr, just as she should. Wonderful. Now I just need to find the time to learn this machine.
  9. I think you misunderstood stood him. He said that it took too long to get HIS video out.
  10. Similar to the tease they did about 20 years ago for the Flanker. I might even still have the video on an old hard drive somewhere.
  11. Point 1: The flight model is the same as the FC model. Yes and no. It’s probably more accurate to say that the FC model is now the same as the FF module. I’ve noticed changes to the FC model, since work began on the FF module. Point 2: It seems too slick compared to other aircraft. I guess I never felt that way. It a fairly lightweight aircraft with large engines for its size and not a lot of drag at higher speeds. So it was kind of what I’d expect. Without that airbrake out, it can take awhile to slow down. Point 3: Landing. It’ll float forever, if you’re landing too fast for your weight. With 30-ish% fuel and 2 AAMs you should be touching down around 265 km/hr. With less, you should be seeing 250-260 on the HUD. Don’t know if that’s your issue but it is for a lot of folks. My 2 cents.
  12. Ahhh. That’s why I missed it. I seldom read video comments unless I’m looking for specific information
  13. Not sure what this is referring to—must have missed it—but thank you for the enthusiasm. I’m still a few days away from having the update downloaded (slow internet) so that I can finally download the MiG. Looking forward to jumping into the cockpit.
  14. In addition to what others have said, many of the key commands you map will be the same for multiple aircraft. So I’d suggest mapping the common key commands to the identical control on the stick and throttle. The exception will be the fine tuning of the various axes.
  15. Unfortunately, I have no idea. But I’m envious. I measure DCS download times in days, not minutes.
  16. As already noted by others, the "T" stands for TAS or true airspeed or, in simple terms, your speed relative to the air mass you're flying through. In the Flanker, it's the same speed that's always present on the HDD's lower right corner regardless of whether you are in a NAV, A2A, or A2G mode.
  17. Thanks! Very interesting read.
  18. Anytime you are experiencing a bug and want to test, it’s best to disable all mods. A mod that you would think should have no effect on what you’re seeing can be the culprit because of how various aspects of DCS interact.
  19. Keep your chin up. This, too, will pass.
  20. The Su-27 has been around for a long time, so a lot of content providers no longer give it much attention. Is there something in particular you’re looking for? Here are a few random things created in the past that you might find interesting (some might date back to the LOMAC/FC days but they’re still pretty relevant).
  21. Just for fun, I ran my TRK file thru Tacview. At the start (full fuel and 2 AAMs), I was sustaining about 16°/sec turn rate. As fuel weight decreased, the turn rate slowly increased. By around 1000kg fuel remaining, I was up to 19°/sec. With 500 kg remaining, it hit 20°. I've been feeling that changes were being made to the FM for awhile now. Just wasn't positive. Seems like they're real.
  22. I’d buy it, if they ever made it.
  23. @AeriaGloria Just flew some circles again. Not the best but good enough. TRK file is attached. Boring to watch except for the numbers. I love how this aircraft will accelerate away from you, if you get distracted, and trash the Gs. MiG-29A--Sustained Turn Rate.trk
  24. Around 970–980 TAS, IIRC. So lowish 900s IAS?
