Panzertard's Battlefield scenario
Boulund replied to Panzertard's topic in User Created Missions General
awesome! popped in for a crash yesterday ;) -
Inverted collective axis?
-
So far it works very well for me using the old NewInput.dll. No problems at all
-
Nice spotted of you! Very unfortunate though. I'd love to keep using my VMware virtual computers but now I'm scared to even touch them, and thinking about uninstalling it is equally unnerving! ;)
-
Intruiging as I have VMWare installed and currently run three virtual computers every now and then. This might very well be why I encounter these things! Good find. But still! I've made no changes and I really haven't changed anything with my three virtual computers since february this year. I still don't think that using VMware should cause my activations to disappear! ;)

Sure I'll try to retell them (they're mentioned in my first and second post in this thread as well). First I'd like to start off with that I lost probably three (3) activations on two harddrive crashes about a month apart and then one malfunctioning windows installation in connection to the second crash. This was in february something like that. That makes three. Then I had an incident this summer when my bluetooth USB-adapter started crapping out so I had to reinstall the drivers for that. Restarting Black Shark after that made me loose another activations. That makes four. Then yesterday I installed the patch according to instructions; unloaded all mods and installed the patch on a clean installation without the slightest hint of modding or any of the like. Started the game after patching made me lose another activation. This makes five. I guess you get 8 activations upon purchase, because I've now got three (3) left. Hope any of this information helps?

I've had two (2) activations lost without (as I see it) no reason at all.
-
I didn't find any issues with using the old "NewInput.dll"-fix that was release when BlackShark came out half a year ago?
-
Hey! this is just what happened to me as well. The software forced me to reactivate after installing the patch. Stupid of me though to not consider deactivating before i just reactivated in blind stress.
-
Great thanks! I'm beginning to think that it is not because of the patch and it was just an unfortunate coincidence. I'd very much like to see the logs or maybe be directed to someone that can help me find out what's happening making me lose activations like this. I'm totally sure I never changed my hardware anyway! =)

Looking very good I'm really enticed by this. I bet this is going to be better than ArmA2 ... Amazed how you can produce something so buggy and claim "10 years of improvements to the engine" as a selling point.

It's very simple Go into Options->Gameplay, click "Simulation" button and remember to tick the checkbox for "Use these options for any mission".

Great stuff! Love the patch (resisting urge to mention any problems with it). Please keep producing good things like this!

You can save your settings (which you should always do anyway) by selecting the column of your joystick in the settings menu and pressing the save button.

On my computer WinXP SP3 I go to Control Panel -> Regional and Language Options -> tab "Regional Options" -> "Standards and formats" -- Set this to English (UK) . Addendum: I checked it out on my Vista laptop and it's in exactly the same place, named "Nationella inställningar", maybe it's called something along those lines (Swedish vista).

I'm really sorry but I guess my entire post is off topic... I know this is about the "1.0.1 error at options menu" and that it's most probably related to the locale settings of the users computer. Nothing more to it I guess. Now regarding what you just said Panzertard (very helpful of you btw:thumbup:), I hear you, but honestly I REALLY don't belive that the end user should have to do anything of that to just install a patch to their most beloved game. This is may or may not ED's wrong doing. I LOVE Black Shark, it's made me forget about all other games for the last 8 months now and it keeps me on my toes every time I take her our for a ride.
-
Ok I guess I have to belive you. I've removed my comments about it from the posts outside of the activation-forum.

This is freaking me out! CHANGING YOUR FORMATS just because THIS ONE SINGLE GAME cannot cope with another format setting on your computer is just ridicoulus beyond my wildest imagination. I've never before heard of this issue for any piece of software I've ever ran on my computers in like 20 years of computing. MAYBE I could let this one slip if it was just mentioned somewhere in the readme, but I can't find it?

Wonderful, thanks for the quick reply!

Thought I might revive this old goodie. ;) Just installed patch 1.0.1 to my lovely Black Shark and to my dismay the activation software stole yet another one of my activations, as always blaming modifications to hardware - but I've made none in the last .. ever since I bought the entire computer 2 years ago. I'm wondering, if anyone activation-related reads these posts, is there anyway to get a copy of my activation logs that you probably keep? I'm dying to know what's causing me to lose activations like this! (Obviosly the first two I already know..) Email or PM will do if you'd like to contact me =D Have a great day edit: I was thinking, the only thing I ever added/removed to my computer during these last two years was the connection/disconnection of a flatscreen TV once or twice and the (very) common plugging in and out of my joystick/HOTAS and other USB peripherals like MP3-player and 360 controller. By my understanding of the hardware points-system I suppose none of this should affect anything that could build my points up to above the 12 needed for a reactivation? I also just figured out that maybe I could have deactivated my installation upon being requested to reactivate instead of just bluntly trying to reactivate directly and through that save my activation?
-
It seems I lost an activation while installing the patch. Maybe something someone here could help me look into? Check my post about it here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=43187 Edit: Sorry for my rather blunt post. I've reshaped it and posted my problem in the activations section instead. But I'll keep this here for coherence.

Is it really this audible in the real helicopter? I mean with ear protection and lots of engine noise etc. ?
-
Why no offical announcement?

I just wanted to voice my opinion that using ED's implementation of trim for flying with the keyboard works very well indeed. It's not very hard to fly the chopper via keyboard as one might think. Essentially all you do with the arrow keys is move your trimmed position of the cyclic, using Z and X changes your pedal input, but these aren't trimmed at all and resumes normal (untrimmed) position after you let go of the input. Very nice imho. Of course it's nothing compared to flying with a real stick, but personally, the only thing that really makes it hard to fly by keyboard is the collective control - it's not the most delicate instrument to use the + and - keys. I think I've posted a track somewhere on the forums where I do a normal take-off and fly around the airbase and the land using only keyboard.
