  1. Of the actual products, I'd recommend Samsung Oddysey or Oddysey+ Yes, 1440p but LCD, that has RGB subpixel pattern, and gives sharper image than other panels with 1600p but PENTILE OLED displays, like Oddysey or VIVE PRO.
  2. It's not a settings problem ... When you are on VR, then what you see it's like 9 times bigger than in a monitor, it's like if you had 9 monitors stacked 3x3. So for seeing it as sharp as in a monitor, you would need 9 times more pixels. Also you need higher FPS ... you notice much more low FPS. So on VR, we measure resolution like in human eye vision, in PPD (Pixels per degree). Then the PPD are a function of the screen resolution and FOV (Field of View). For car sims, I thing I'd prefer wider FOV than the almost standard 110º diagonal FOV we have on most actual HMDs. But for flight sims, I would stick with 110º FOV, and increase PPD. Until HP Reverb launches this month, no one has tryed it with DCS, but I guess that with a good graphics card will be a game changer. Still not as sharp as in monitor, but awesome. What graphics card will be needed ? We'll see ... So, in your case, I think HP Reverb is the best option. Anyway Rift is out of stock, and Valve Index doesn't launch until June, so wait for feedback on DCS+Reverb
  3. What % of your gamming time do expend playing DCS ? What other games do you play ? Valve Index and Rift S are gonna be nice VR devices, the best for gamers, but for flight simmers, if you have a beffy PC, and your IPD is in the average, HP Reverb seems to be the best option, and it's suppoed to launch on April. I play with Rift now, and I'm inside DCS, but with a little burred vision. In other games it doesn't matter to me, but in DCS for instrumens and spoting/identifying planes, it would be amazing to see it sharper.
  4. https://www.theverge.com/2019/4/1/18291013/valve-index-vr-headset-product-page-early-launch-date Display Port 1.2 confirmed, so they can't have more than 1600p at 90Hz. Still will be probably the best and more balanced HMD, if we take into account tracking quality and controllers, but for DCS I thing HP Reverv will be better.
  5. I have discovered this tool, it's still Beta, but it's really amazing. You can generate missions, edit them after, they have even some spoken radio messages. You have lot of options, but it's really easy to use, just pass throght all the tabs, and select a value from each list. You have also a tool to generate custom radio messages, it uses the text to speech from windows, and then adds the radio static, and it gives very good results. https://hq4dcs.com/
  6. It happened to me on the F-5 when using Low res Textures, I had to use High res textures. It seems belsimtek used untralow resolution for the textures on low settings
  9. There isn't an English Thread ? I want to report a bug, when you select the "F-5E Tiger" in a player flight group, the "F-5E" is set, but that's an AI plane, an "F-5E-3" should be set. Edit: I see it has been reported and will be fixed in hotfix 1. Amazing tool !!!!
¿ Como lo entendeis vosotros ? https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3866946&postcount=2 "With the current ROE implementation, you need two sources of information to identify the target as hostile. If you don't have donor information, they'll have to be a Mode 4 interrogation and a valid NCTR print. For NCTR, you also need to be within correct angle limits, 30 degrees off the turbine axis max."
  11. Don't trust too much today's leaks, it's april's fools ... RGB, isn't it ??? That would be amazing, and HMD future proof !!!!

  18. Yes, but the Cities, etc, you must choose time period for the modeling
  19. Yes, I started with this mapping: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3150178/ And then added somethings that were not mapped, like the dial of the fuel gauge, the deposit opening for refueling, etc. For the radios/COMMs menus and Cameras (F1-F12) I use voice attack. No need for keyboard anymore :)
  20. Maybe because real pilots and who planned their missions, didn't have a button to get a new life and a free plane, and didn't take too much risk. And I'm also talking of the guys launching the missiles, maybe their goal many times is just to scare the other one and make them turn away, and avoid a conflict ... even if you win, it can be a political incident. Yes, we all believe you know more than ED and Heatblur about misilles and how to model then in a simulation !!! :megalol::megalol:
  21. It's not so different from the AMRAAM, once shoot it follows a fixed path to the point where it has to become pitbull. Optionally, it has the option to be updated by datalink, but it needs the plane to mantain the radar lock to send those updates.
  25. It has the lenses and screen of the GO, so we can start with that ...
