  1. i believe this will be my second kickstarter ill spend on, and my first kickstarter for a game! i was going to kickstart Braben but this is much more appealing.
  2. no changes yet and thanks rudel,i t alread looks better in general though! i managed to just get it looking good at that angle at the late evening sun level which has also changed. it needs major re balancing though. which will be fun i think. indeed re the white. i find its a challenging given the hours ive piled in for sure. what im not happy about is the reflection underneath, it is awefull, unrealistic and i simply have no idea why or how its come to be as such (check the blue defined line) re the whitening. this is very very good for balancing between the pixels i took this next shot yesterday of which i like without changes. its given me more ideas for the metallic aspects and how to dirty it up to get to the non metallic stage. which is my new goal. normal skins like everyone else is doing but with a difference. a layered difference that says visually tells you the material is paint, or worn or dirty or polished ive been studying another flight sims graphics for some different ideas too.   3. as the painter of that aircraft, the recent update hasn`t done it any justice unfortunatly due to the shader changes.
  4. this is the sim that took sim over above what sim ment for all other sims. so whilst you expect to fly this straight of the bat. its never been simulated to such a degree before. so you have to learn all over again. explicitly learning and taking into account all the physics you have never felt before. maybe learn is wrong word. adjust or familiarise maybe a more relevant word. but you are having to learn about more and more physics with each iteration of sim effectivly.
  5. ww2 arena. with non flyables. open to FC level or DCS level additions. all open to 3rd party development, same as the rest. its so simple.

Doh! you might have just jinxed it all lol. but well you are absolutely spot on regards that.. but in my confusion i see some good aspects to the changes.....i think. it doesn`t shine "properly" like before. and thats not too good. refelections seems goofed too. edit: nividia control panel settings were "awry" it seems. and well im quite fond of these changes. but there is somthing wrong still.
  7. Thanks sir ! i believe im in the process of re-aquainting myself with the sim in its 1.2.2 state , intending iam to release. things are different though.. confused.
  8. 1.2.2 all looks a bit different for me now and the work i do. I`d very much like to know wether some kind fellow can find out definitevly just what shaders were changed for this model please from 1.21 to 1.2.2 ? Edit: please ignore/remove/ move along now.... :) lol nivida settings have been awry and well i need not know this answer literally. it`d be nice to know though, but not essential.

  10. not a flawed idea ! for me its the concievable concept of bringing us a decent arena for the 51 initially. and allowing it to grow whilst pleasing a heck of a lot of people and furthering the sales of the 51 explicitly. a Smart move.
  11. fantastic work wild bill ! edit. ive had similar ideas myself, but awaiting something in the way of a more relevant arena though. not AAR`s but character and story driven scenes behind uttilising dcs assets visually and most definetly in adapted comic form from dcs ! so just well done its inspiring to say the least, and bringing that touch of creativity to what is usually the most boring depicition of events.

  13. Deeeeeeeeelicious ! re-installed DCS today, forgot how nice it is. Oops ! this is the 1.2.1 module version. nicer looking i think. newer module has alot more sky going on though, but the shaders just are not as nice as what is seen here. there is more shadow contrast going on here.
  14. lol ok. referring to my lack of patience and attitude towards you in the face of a lack of familiarisation with the plane in a non finalised state whilst attempting to fly formation without necessary aformentioned qualities. meaning in reference to Fakum`s comment about his lead shouting at him to fly level ..........................and thus my response..( and admitance i was a right cock through all that), and an explanation of just how hard and how much practice it takes to fly good in formation to Fakum with regards to my point of trim not going to make the flight better. phew ,hope that makes sense to my relating it to `our`experience.

  17. Not that comment will help! it wont, i know. Back when blackshark first came out i had this issue. it was commented by a russian ED tester that there was an inferior aspect to how it was coded. whilst it wasnt specific enough for me to describe, basicly my "router" wasnt too compatable with how the networking was coded. possibly this might be still an issue, which was resolved as stated with the release of a10. Since then i have been able to host ok.
  18. yeh i guess thats it. both ways are a credible transparency implementation methods. The colour coded being quite old before shaders became more than they were. it could be possible there is a DXT level issue that isn`t being set correct. ie interpolated alpha or otherwise.
  19. just asking for my own knowledge on this ...the neon green skin is because the green is counted as the colour that invoked the transparency leaving only the decals visible over the base layer ? and is that automaticly invoked ? and if so is that invoked at the model level ??? ive worked with "that" type of transparency before... just wondering if its the same here? it may be and i may have given strangely given the answer, as this is how it usually works. but that colour was always configurable on standard materials. only other way was via transparent texture if applicable* or typical alpha transparency.
  20. yes, Fakum this is what you need if you want that. i suspect though you wont and well were back at square one. we all learned by learning the plane is all I am saying.
  21. with all due respect Fakum, the plane was designed as it was. and the trim sensitivitiy is what you have, if you want better i suggest using an Axis if it is possible for your trim. and no amount of changing trim will allow you to fly level (without the pilot approriating the plane to level flight himselfl) you have to fly level with the instruments before you on your own. its called learning to fly this wonderfull module in DCS. not trying to beat it because it doesnt feel like the A10. Honestly keep practicing. and tell your lead who is shouting at you to <insert swear word here> off. It takes stupid stupid amounts of practice. AirWolf will attest to why you should tell him where to go ! and for good reason. It takes more patience than time to fly formation, right Airwolf ? also watch your tracks back together with specific focus on your height information. determine the lead "IS" flying level first of all. then take it from there.

  24. what fuel are you guys running. i think below 60% u can be assured your rear tank isn`t fueled which is what you want. munitions might cause drag in different ways. unsure on the slip streaming and prop wash effects....i suggest you both trim one notch down , keeping nose always raised with manual pressure. also both of you may be riding that wave. the trick is to get the up and down motion together when not trimmed but relying on trim. and i think ill go install p51 again. :) other points. the trailing pilot will always use more power. the trailing pilot should pump his thottle bewlow and above the leads setting to keep in tow. if the lead isnt trimmed properly that may compound the issues further.
