good example video rudel ! well ive just been reversing my work to produce opposite results and i think that there is an aspect to the shadowing that is bugged and its inclusion with the rest of the effects cause the further issues. its working in reverse of what it should by displaying white light in simple terms. it does make sense to me i think.... anyone any ideas of what file this maybe ?

given atmospheric scattering thats a possibly a good thing for sure. bit crude though ehh!

well there isnt too much that dependant on it tbh, its part of the equation for sure. but there are many differences in these new shaders, daylight colours displayed over metallic relfections is weaker at 12:00 pm, and stronger at 18:00 hrs, this seems reversed compared to past shader actions. daylight light is much brighter. dusk/dawn times have changed it appears. too. i see in your shots the solid blue start of the underside reflections. its that that lead me to believe the env map maybe reversed (there is option to save it vertically flipped with the tools) upon trying that out with many cube maps. i found the differences negligable. this also includes using monochrome maps in various colours, solid cubemaps. black, cube maps, everything i can to provoke a difference. ive messaged blaze to ask what location his env map is in incase im doing it wrong. but no response yet. also im finding it hard to capture those good shots i usually grab detailing the detail of my work. it feels strange and unfamiliar not necessarily wrong. but heres the underside that goes white now it should go darker if anything.. and the blue line reflection that doesnt blend and should be ground coloured, i believe the previous shaders blended it from ground into blue. not blue into .... nothing. and this is the worst i can capture of what once looked great. this white thats generating over the sides isnt good at all. its not workable with these strange adjustments presently, i thought my work was well balanced. it makes no sense common or otherwise. or its simply incomplete. Awaiting the release that shows changes to this. below you see the sun at its position and angle. so why are the sides getting lighter so dramtically that its knocking out the relfection ?. and is the sun in the correct position for 16:00 hours ( it was much lower in previous module versions) ill have to bite the bullitt and do all that re balancing again to see but thats annoying, because it was perfectly balanced before, and not just for my work. it was better before, look at the reflection on the underside go darker and blend nicely. these shots are from previous module version. and here too. darker undersides please ! hopefully you folks can see that it is clearly wrong. i am of the understanding that developers do not work with my assetts and obviously must work with their own, but the physical changes and effects are seemingly incorrect.

im changing the cube, ive done everything i can, im not seeing any major or definitive differences in game, only a subtle difference. not sure whats going on tbh. cant reproduce what blaze did earlier. but then my templates are quite a bit different.

well yes but it becomes problematic simply because there will be more than 1 theatre of action at some stage, im making a custom cube for nevada presently for example. but this texture stage should actually be associated with the map not the plane. and delivered to whatever plane is the object of viewing. whilst we are changing this cube, i believe its in the shader programming that uses this cube, something has been reversed. and its definetly not fixed even at that.

it appears simple, but given it was changed for a reason, fixing it this way is not the answer.

yep looks much better. im flipping it too. so you have simply flipped by way of 180, or by vertical flipp? but youve used a custom environment cube too i see. does it look good at all times of day ?

yes! but it appears to work in reverse now. a programming error or a general mistake ? its operating in reverse. i`d love to fix it with a custom cube. where does it reside Mr blaze ? i used to create custom cubes for a racing sim, i have so many, and if i can apply that in here im gona blow all yer socks off with proper reflections for this p51. edit:found it :) lets see what happens here then... im sure ive changed this before to no effect.

trully magnificent. couple of weeks ago i watched a video where a family group of deer in trouble in deep waters, swam to a boat and waited till they were gestured to come on board. shivering with cold there was no fear of the human, just fear of death. our place amung these species is remarkable. -

\o/ love lego. i have a few medium size sets from ep.1, Basic Droid & Droideka and the Blue Droid & Jango Fett from ep.2. but its the technic range i really would like a set from with the pneumatics and tanktracks and motorised functions....

active pause is for pausing the sim to learn the avionics etc. for example in the a10 learning some aspect of the aircraft and need to pause all flight whilst still being able to set parameters in the aircraft.

It will ! and not just a new standard for 3rd party maps. but a standard for all flightsims scenery to aspire to ;) atleast i think so and if the screenshots are anything to go by.

more often than not those rivetts details are are painted over and packed with putty to create a smooth wing for flight.

It`s because of the very niche nature of it all that i will for the one person iam be more than happy to support this project. I hope others may see this too. It is is important enough especially around here given the similar aspects to our sim platforms here in terms of all things niche. Means a lot a dev joining here too! certainly to me. these forums are at times frustrating yet never lacking interest through intelligence. Remarkable place at times. ps iam a modder at heart, with an incredible fascination for light. so i might be bugging you about that at some stage :) Space and realistic light hasnt really been discovered yet in gaming. "Darkness is not the opposite of light, its the absence of light."- and its this sentiment im itching to see done well in a space sim... anyway good luck with it all.
