  1. Ah nice to see that after ED admitted that SD-10 performance is inacurate and developers will change it, people are coming here to fix another weapon. Guess I'm going back to flying the hornet again. I really don't think anything will ever top the american modules and weapons in DCS.
  2. Well, on the positive note, this thread will die now. Certain people got what they wanted. SD-10 will now be "fixed". Now I am sure they will move on to some other JF-17 weapon and do the same. Lets go with how BRM1 can 1 hit kill shilkas.
  3. I apologise if I misunderstood the facebook post but it looked to me like ED are saying that the AIM-120 is performing correctly and SD-10's performance is inaccurate, which Deka were saying that they spent a lot of time and manpower on.
  4. In the end this is EDs simulation so whatever they say goes. I suppose they will not be revisiting the old missiles anytime soon and Deka were not completely honest about their missile behaviour. Seems kind of shady, this whole situation but I wont lose any sleep over it.
  5. This is great news. Thanks for all the hard work. Binding landing gear and having 3 way option for master modes is going to be really handy.
  6. I also write a lot of stuff down. It really helps when I switch back and forth between modules. Just a quick read over of a certain procedure help jump start the memory. Glad to know there are more people with similar method of learning.
  7. Not sure if you claiming that these developers have not done a good job at modeling weapons but I think since they are soon going to introduce over g stress damage in the module, this is the perfect request to make. I would also love to see this simulated.

  9. From the view of someone who bought this as their first module, I totally understand your point. I gave it a pass because I know how much they worked to get this module released before christmas break and now they are fixing so many bugs so we can enjoy this module in the holidays.
  10. To be honest, I prefer any feature be simulated as close to the real thing as possible. I am here to learn these aircrafts like they are in real life. It makes little sense to remove or alter a feature because other developers have it set up in a different way.
  11. So you claim that the SD-10 can currently hit a target 90° off-boresight in less than 1km range? Oh I need to see this one myself. This can't be right.
  12. Yeah I can understand your reasoning. Multiplayer is probably more enjoyable where both sides are somewhat equal. Regarding friendly fire, there is plenty of that in PvP servers already, sometimes even in PvE. The jets which do not have magic auto IFF function seems to do a lot of friendly kills. Back when hornet had a WIP IFF and the current Mirage's IFF tend to get a lot of friendlies killed. I really like the amount of detail Deka have put into simulating this jet and would perfer if people who play mostly multiplayer and want everything on equal terms rather than simulated properly stay away from modules like this. Not everyone has the time or patience to fully learn all the functions of the aircrafts. This is why we still have jets like FC3 in here.
  13. Yes, I requested the thread to be locked twice and stated my reason behind it as well. Yet here we are, argueing. Most you guys are doing the same as me, just agreeing or disagreeing rather than providing much relevant information. Please stick to the topic of the post instead of argueing about pointless things. I am also following this thread out of interest and will respond when I feel like something does not seem right with the information provided.
  14. Funny how the FOV from DCS makes the jet a bit tiny compared with the RL images. But yeah, I also recall watching the documentry on TV where they were talking about how JF-17 stands quite low to the ground.
  15. I never told anyone to "shut up". Especially not the ones providing any relevant data. That is like me saying that you are telling me to shut up or go away. So far the information being shared here is just the repeated statements. Lower drag of missile because they do not match with AIM-120C. Then the developers state that they have modelled SD-10 the best they could but the limiting factor is ED missile API. Then some more numbers are provided and they ask to lower the missile drag followed by developers response that their data is accurate to the abilities of this game engine. Then more talk about missile drag anyway and it goes on for days. In the mean time, the people who are reading this thread think that this missile is overpowered, some even now claiming that they have done so to boost up sales. Nothing good is coming from this thread in the end. I'm sure despite what I have said so far, this will keep going on loop unless even ED jumps in at this point.
  16. I never claimed anything which would need backing up. Furthermore the data which most people have provided are comparison with AIM-120C and mentions of some official document claiming that the missile performance is between AIM-120B and AIM-120C without providing the source or legitimacy of that claim.
  17. Something tells me that ED will do just one big open beta update before Christmas and then we will have to wait till next year.
  18. So you guys are going to keep on complaining until the developers give up their research and go by your opinions? I doubt the developers will make their data available to public and ED themselves said that they require proof before even allowing the weapons to be implemented so I doubt anything will change at this point. The people argueing in the forum are ones with tens of thousands of post count so they have nothing better to do than just argue for days. Stop getting so upset that someone told you no and go fly whatever else module you enjoy.

  20. Well, seems like no beta update this week lads. More time to polish those textures. Also, did they fix the pilot bug as well? When I eject from the Pakistan livery jet, the pilot skin changes from green to blue.
  21. Ah, alright. I thought it would be similar to how the anti ship missiles work on the viggen where you can set them up to lock different targets.
  22. This arguement is gonna go on loop for a while since same things are being repeated to each other. I will always believe Deka team on this since, ED has so many inaccurate modeled weapons that none of these internet engineers managed to get fixed.
  23. I suppose I can ask here. Anyone know how I can set up the anti ship missile so they do not lock onto the same ship? These are really powerful missiles and kind of a waste if they both hit same ship.
  24. Shhh, just play along. People who take threads like this seriously are the ones I tend to ignore in other threads. Since this forum is full of engineers and weapons experts, these threads help weed out some of the loud mouths. :D
