Would also be helpful if you specify exactly which ranges are the locks being aquired vs other jets. Also please describe what weapons were used in the testing, which aircraft against which was tested and at what approach angles and altitudes of both jets. Did you test each missile with different and same aircraft types. With all this data, there might be something for us to debate on.

In that case, what would be the maximum safe speed to touch the runway at with light weight vs heavy weight loadout? Don't want to blow out the tyres on landings.

I cant imagine them managing a terrain lock at something as smooth as grass where there is no real unique pattern to lock to with image processing technology. Especially when it is zommed out. But then again, I do not know what type of technology the military might have developed just for them so it might just be possible.

I like the sound of that. The WMD7 pod will rely on certain different jet functions in order to obtain accuracy rather than some magic all in one device. This will be very fun when the behaviour changes on certain system failures. You guys are doing great work!

What is the JF-17s safe landing approach speed? I didn't know these problems existed before because I was landing it Hornet style at the speed of stable 130 knots descend. The brakes are not that strong in the jet when compared with the Hornet or Viggen. At 130 knots, I can even land at the short runways without using the dragchute. This might not be realistic though since so many people have been getting problems doing touchdowns.

For me personally, anyone who starts their arguement claiming they do not care about realism is already in a wrong place. If anyone plays driving simulator games, they will know that cars in there also have their speedometer modeled realistically on their dashboard however they provide the option to switch between kph or mph for the overlay at the bottom of the screen. Is it possible to set up the status bar to be displayed at the bottom of the cockpit view? Like the one we get in external views. Additionally, is there a way to change the feet and meters on that bar? This would definatley help with this whole arguement since people just want to know the values in certain format and they dont care for realism in that regard so having a status bar at the bottom should be acceptable.

The video is nice but I must agree. The black screen stay on for too long and too often in the beginning. The second half is definately the better part for me.

For me, fine tuning the image is part of the fun. Since they have added the function, it really is handy. I didn't really have problem using the TPOD in JF-17 but if it is present in the real jet, I would also prefer an option to store the sensor settings when we switch beteen them.

Does the campaign require understanding of all the available weapons or can I just jump in and systems are explained as needed per scenario?

I also mentioned this before in general that the autopilot function seems to be disabled or off in the Air to Air Master mode. It does work in the other two. I didn't get the answer back then but would love to know if it is a bug or a RL function. -
I just love helicopters and this one looks really good. Will this also have multicrew? Would love to have one person focused on flying while other can control the sensors.

Question for online play. The servers that will have that supercarrier would mean that people who did not purchase the module will not be able to join it right? Wont this just divide the playerbase? Apologies for my ignorance. I did not know that the supercarrier was a paid module.

What we have right now is something in between block 1 and 2. It will eventually be completed into block 2 with the addition of air refueling by release time. From my understand since block 3 is not even in active service yet, our version of JF-17 only has FBW on pitch.

Like I said before, I am going to stay out of this one. But I will say this though. Your questions were very specific and clear that you doubt its in game performance and that if it should even be used with the jet. It is the same thing as before. You see some weapon overperforming a nato weapon and then start doubting its in-game representation. If it underperforms, then nobody cares even if it is not modeled accurately. BTW, just asking people to give you information is also not bringing anything valuable to the topic.

Look at it this way. By the time the next patch hits, there will be even more bugs fixed before all the developers go for their Christmas and New Year break.

Since I kind of doubt that ED will be giving out any clear official statements before the new year break, I would like to know if the changes to the SD-10 will hit in the coming update (hopefully next week). If Deka could clarify that for us, that would be much appreciated as well. -
You are right, that topic is too hot to mention somewhere else. I will stay out of this one and see how it all pans out. If so many of Deka weapons are inaccurate and ED proves it then these developers dont hold much credibility. No other module which I have bought before had this much controversy behind it. It was mostly positive improvements to weapons but here it all seems negative.
