Never seen that before. Did you try a repair? Maybe that fixes things.

I have made a custom cyclic with hall effect precision sensors. The pitch and roll axis have absolutely no deadzone. Every other module have full control around the center without having to fight build-in deadzone. Needless to say I fly all modules without any saturation, curves or extra deadzone. The Gazelle is the only module which is effected with this behaviour which wasn’t there since some updates ago. This is a software issue, not a hardware issue.

This ridiculous deadzone has been around since some updates ago. Not sure why this hasn’t been adressed so far. The Gazelle is unflyable without adding saturation and/or curvature which should NOT be necessary in the first place.
-
Personaly I don't think setting up curves and saturations should be the way to go to make the Gazelle behave in flight. I fly all the other choppers with no curves or saturation at all and I am doing good this way. I am not going to debate the flight model. I am sure Polychop did their homework on that subject. The problem with the Gazelle lies in the way the flight controls are done. The cyclic has that weird build-in deadzone giving it an on-off behaviour around the center. The collective is going up and down in steps instead of a smooth motion. This can all be judged by looking at the controls indicator. Once these imperfections are being corrected we have one hell of a chopper without the need to mess with curves and stuff.

Thank you, Maverick.

Please? Anyone?

Hi guys, On some server briefings I read that aircraft are being preloaded to prevent lag when a new client spawns in an aircraft. How can I achieve this? Thanks, Razor

Waiting and waiting and waiting. Still no refresh button :(

No one else is having this issue? I can temporarily solve the problem with the missing button by going to Connect To IP and try to connect to any private server without entering a password. Once I close the Connect To IP window the button is available again. I can than also see the server details again. When I connect to a server from the list and come back to the list again the button is again missing.

Hi guys, Since a few updates ago I've lost my server refresh button. It is greyed out. A repair or deleting my DCS.openbeta SavedGames folder did not work. The button is still missing. Also when a server is selected I am not able to see server details like what modules are used or who is currently on it. Any thoughts would be very welcome. Thanks

Part of the pre-startup routine could be to make sure all switches are turned to off manually giving you more value for your money because you can actually operate those switches twice :)
-
Did you try the “RAlt + num0” combo, the one that saves the view in F1 Cockpit View?
-
It is stored in a file called SnapView.lua, located in c:\users\your user name\saved games\dcs.openbeta\config\view You can also change the view point with the mouse. Double click the middle mouse button and use the mouse wheel to move forward and back. Move the mouse to go left, right, up and down. Press the mouse button again and you are in pan mode. Double click the middle mouse button again and you are back in cockpit cursor mode.

Would it be possible to downtune the UH-1H engine files to simulate a Delta configuration? Which files would that be? Thanks.

This switch only functions the wrong way if you have a slick Huey (no hardpoints). With the armed Huey the functioning of this switch is ok. Has been this way since ages and apparently isn's high on Belsimtek's to-do list. It isn't really a game stopper. Just think of it as if the ground crew have put the switch back in in the wrong way during the latest maintanance.

It is a helicopter, it’s in her nature to give you a bad time :). She just requires constant tiny control corrections.

No one’s up for the challenge? I totally understand. Especially no.2 seems extremely difficult to make. Thanks anyway, guys.

Amen to that, brother Cib!

Major cyclic deadzone with FFB option checked
RazorbackNL replied to RazorbackNL's topic in Bugs and Problems
So I quess this is it than? No response from Polychop except a "turn off FFB"? Not good enough Poly, not good at all! -
DCS: UH-1H Huey Dedicated ScreenShot Thread

A gorgeous Japanese livery for the UH-1. You should also try the 101st Hikotai skin made by Upuaut. One of my favourite skins. -
Major cyclic deadzone with FFB option checked
RazorbackNL replied to RazorbackNL's topic in Bugs and Problems
I have tried to set the FFB curves to 100% and this indeed results in even more deadzone almost covering the entire range of the cyclic axis. With FFB curves set to 0% there is still a deadzone. Only when the diamond in the control indicator comes free from the centerlines, there is an axis motion detected. Simply unchecking ForceFeedback isn't an option for me because in my case all other modules benefit from having this option checked. I don't realy need the trim function because I use a springless joystick. Please devs, can you look into this? The Gazelle is currently grounded for me. -
Gazelle with UH-1H flight model?
RazorbackNL replied to RazorbackNL's topic in How To Mod for DCS World
I totally understand your reaction. Fact is my flight gear and the Gazelle simply aren't friends when it comes to flying. Please see my other post: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=195451 -
Would it be possible to temporarily give the Gazelle the flight model of the Huey? Until every issue with the Gazelle is fixed I want to enjoy the model and the systems of the Gazelle with the Huey way of flight. Thanks.

I fly all choppers with the FFB option checked eventhough my joystick is a non-FFB stick (also non-centerspringloaded). Don't ask me how but my controls feel way more direct flying this way. I have a G27 hooked up with the X and Y axis assigned, but both axis get 0% Y-saturation which basicaly mean these axis have no function. In doing so DCS is being fooled thinking my joystick is a FFB stick which gives me way more direct control I need to fly helicopters. I noticed that when the Force Feedback option is checked in the MISC tab, the cyclic of the Gazelle suffers from a major deadzone on the pitch and bank axis eventhough my joystick axis are set up with no curves, no saturation and no deadzone, I double checked that. This totally reduces the feel you need to be able to fly this helicopter. Where does that massive deadzone come from?

upuaut's Bell 47 Alpha release!
RazorbackNL replied to Hawkeye60's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
When I place the Bell47_2 folder directly into my saved games, she doesn't even show up in the module manager. A repair did not help either. Installing with OvGME lists her in the module manager but not in the ME or home screen.
