  1. I remember the days I had played DCS in 2D and I had to press numpad 5 each time I started a mission to get rid of the initial zoomed out view. Later I learned to adjust the view like @MAXsenna described above but I still had to press numpad 5 to get to this saved view from the initial zoomed out view at mission start. Don't know if this is still relevant. edit: IIRC there is an additional keybind that resets the zoom in DCS. I can't remember whether I had to press that once, too. Just give it a try. (I will when I'm back at my PC)
  2. Damage of one slat (left or right) that is not retractable anymore?
  3. That's news to me. didn't know I can bind keys that way. sounds very handy. will try that, thanks!
  4. Since ED introduced bindings for their comms menu up/down/back/select/... I find it very simple and less immersion breaking to navigate through the menu(s). I just have a modifier and the 4-way comms button on my hotas to do this. I don't say it is better or worse than the big HB-style wheel, but you already don't have to fiddle with F-keys anymore in VR.
  5. Is this screenshot taken from DCS or F.BMS? I won't post a link but if yo search for BMS 4.38 Trailer at YT and go to 2:20, there it is.
  6. thanks! even the mobile version of the site works on my PC. seems to be something on my (not so) "smart" phone, or me.
  7. Thanks for the input that led me to a test on my PC. And it works, but not on my smart phone. So it's on my side. Thanks! edit: no VPN's
  8. Is it just me, or is the DCS website down? Any info for how long? https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/
  9. I Like that cockpit. Some scratches and wear but very nice readable white labels. Not too new, and not too old. Still a matter of taste of course.
  10. Thanks for those hints
  11. I don't have those start menu entries anymore due to migration to new PCs. Is there a way to recreate those entries automatically (i.e. not makind those links "manually")?
  12. I hope it is 10m/s.
  13. Maybe you find some clues here, at least concerning the Tiny Tims:
  14. Like @Rudel_chw mentioned, this procedure is highly questionable if not dangerous, since it prevents the update from updating your bindings to the new version, in case something has changed. And you lose the updated version of the input folder btw. It's good to have a backup of the input folder if something goes wrong, but I'd never copy the old version to replace the updated one when it is not indicated by an issue.
  15. Guess you have to fly the way you see him. VR, TrackIR or a camera left-shift could be helpful, too.
  16. Stimmt wohl.
  20. I have a shortcut that only checks for updates and does not start DCS afterwards: Target: (your path to the DCS_updater.exe) "D:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin\DCS_updater.exe" update Start in: (your path to the bin folder) "D:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin" That might not be a solution for the issue but it helps sorting out things more quickly.
