Triple screen problem with first-person view Visor effect
Tom Kazansky replied to Blueleader's topic in Multi-Display Support
You are not alone. Here is another thread, (pointing to a third one.) -
If ED will not change the way the maps are updated, with the growing number of maps (and growing sizes of maps), more and more users will run into problems with free space needed for an update. Is it really so hard to implement an option to update the maps one by one*? In this case, the free disk space needed would not grow with the amount of maps but only with the size of one(!) map. * to clarify: one by one within an automatic update. i.e. the user does not select the maps, of course.

Would it be possible for ED not to update all of the files, especially maps, in one pass? It could be useful, if maps are updated one by one to reduce the total amount of free disk space needed, and the user would not have to do anything but waiting for the updater finishing the process like before. Maybe as an option?

I propose setting up a mission on Caucasus map with an aircraft starting airborne at the distance you like from an IR SAM you like and making a short track of what you've described in OP. I'm sure every dev can also manage to do this, but it takes less time to just load a track and jump into the aircraft. There are lots of examples here where devs can't reproduce people's claims, and it's even harder for them to find the issue with searching for a situation matching yours. Imagine devs facing dozens of bug reports without tracks, I guess your chances of getting help are better with a track. Sure, everybody says, "it's easy to reproduce" but often it's not. So if it's easy, why not make a short mission and a track for them? I've no problem if you choose not to follow this advice. I just wanted to show a way to increase the chance to get your report recognised. The fact you got no answer since Thursday from devs or other people supports this, I guess.

Sehr krasser Teaser. Auf die Größe kommt's manchmal eben doch an.

Maybe ask Red Bull about ways of sponsoring?

ED, we need help as modules have been abandoned by Polychop
Tom Kazansky replied to peeter's topic in Polychop-Simulations
Maybe the fact that you can't ask Polychop is already your answer? Let's hope for better times. -
I've read this sentence more than twice and still not get it. There are many great campaigns, still growing in number, and LOTS of user made missions. Am I missing the point?

Awesome! Experiencing History has never been so beautiful.

Ich versteh den Schmerz aber ich bin auf die kurze Antwort gespannt.

Jetzt geht sie wieder nicht. Egal ob per WLAN oder mobile Daten, PC, Smartphone, nix geht mehr.

This is incredible! What an outstanding map. I started with flight sims with sky=blue and ground=green. Now look how far we've come! Amazing! Thanks UGRA for your effort and dedication.

Kann grad nicht deine Mission testen, aber was passiert denn mit Flag 1 wenn Flag 2 gesetzt wird und umgekehrt? Machst du die Flag die nicht gesetzt werden soll denn auch wieder auf 0 (null)?

I would want to walk around my aircraft after a fight. Walking over to my wingmen's would also be interesting. There are a lot of things simulated in DCS that you don't watch every time, extending and retracting landing gear, flaps, deploying a drag shoot, ejecting, pilot animation,... but when you've seen it and you know it's there, it brings a higher level of immersion. Walking around aircraft could add to that a lot, imho.

OP brings me to the questions: Does the radar/rwr in the FC2024 (early) version of the MiG-29 show this behaviour? Will it be updated? Or will the FC version be superior to the FF version in BVR fights??
-
Ok, I assumed it is based on this post: Edit: just to clarify my intentions: I know this means it is planed not guaranteed for a next patch, but it leaves open whether it is planed for the next ED patch or HB patch, which may come with a later ED patch.

Next HB patch or next ED patch?
