I don't have those start menu entries anymore due to migration to new PCs. Is there a way to recreate those entries automatically (i.e. not makind those links "manually")?

Maybe you find some clues here, at least concerning the Tiny Tims:

Cannot catch a wire - think I found the reason

Nice. -
Like @Rudel_chw mentioned, this procedure is highly questionable if not dangerous, since it prevents the update from updating your bindings to the new version, in case something has changed. And you lose the updated version of the input folder btw. It's good to have a backup of the input folder if something goes wrong, but I'd never copy the old version to replace the updated one when it is not indicated by an issue.

Guess you have to fly the way you see him. VR, TrackIR or a camera left-shift could be helpful, too.

Known issue, see here plz: from: -
I have a shortcut that only checks for updates and does not start DCS afterwards: Target: (your path to the DCS_updater.exe) "D:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin\DCS_updater.exe" update Start in: (your path to the bin folder) "D:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin" That might not be a solution for the issue but it helps sorting out things more quickly.

Ist schon ein "richtiger" Verkauf. Man kann also sofort loslegen, wenn man will.

The 2nd and 3rd links point at the same as the 1st link (changelogs). Nice updates, though Thanks ED and M3

Let's make DCS more beginner-friendly.
Tom Kazansky replied to ALFA-62's topic in DCS Core Wish List
"Yeah", a 200 GB high ground-detailed update of Caucasus map will make DCS more beginner-friendly!? I disagree. Caucasus is the only map that works here on my 800$ spare PCs, so if ED decides to update it, I highly recommend to keep the old version as a compatible option. Maybe the big PC-trash-date after ending Win10 will change something in that regard, but for now plz let this one beginner-friendly map stay as it is. The guys I introduced DCS to and got lost in their beginning stated it would be useful to have: 1) that one "Start your experince" button in the main menu. Whatever that could be. A flight school (not to teach flying but introducing DCS to new users. Like a training mission with a free module hot starting on ramp or runway. Maybe explaining how keybinds work if the user asks for that.) 2) built-in keybindings for all/most of the sticks/HOTAS or controllers available (user community download sections are very nice but not for beginners imho) 3) cold-start tutorials/training missions for quick cold-starts that do not include all those tests of systems that never fail anyway as an option! (Full procedures are obviously needed by most hard core simmers here, but may scare some new users.)- 58 replies

Finally found a workaround that helps me to get by till ED offers a convenient solution for this topic: Right at the start I switch on the pilot's flash light. And never switch the mouse cursor off the whole flight. (Even if I did this workaround still works.) When I don't use the cursor I drag it to the lower right corner i.e. outside of my view. The clue of this workaround lies here: you always know whether the mouse cursor is turned on or off (by keypress) because when it is turned off (by keypress) the flashlight always highlights the center of your view, no matter where the mouse cursor has been turned off. When the cursor times out and gets switched off after that automatically, the flashlight is not highlighting the center. So, you're always aware of the state of the cursor, and you can find it more easily with the spotlight around it. This sounds more complicated than it is and still may not be satisfying for everyone, but I got used to it and I like it. As said before, I'd prefer a solution that centers the cursor on every reappearance as an option, made by ED, though.

Yeah, FM feels great now. A huge improvement to my initial experience in the DCS:F-4E. Even just flying cross country is a pure joy now. Now, after exiting DCS, I often find myself looking forward to my next flight in the Phantom right away. Thanks HB and ED!

Pimax Crystal - zwei neue Versionen angekündigt!
Tom Kazansky replied to Air Joker's topic in Deutsch

Hi, Aktive Pause an? Drehen die Triebwerke (RPM Anzeigen) hoch? Steht die F-4 im Dreck? Hast du eine Track-Datei für uns?

Oh, let this get reality! Instead of selling my G2 under value, maybe I should buy some used ones for each of my family members at 100 EUR? I hope this is no hoax or joke!? Wellp, it would even help Windows 11's market share at the end of the year, so maybe MS should pay @mbucchia! Wish you all the best and great success.
