  1. Ist schon ein "richtiger" Verkauf. Man kann also sofort loslegen, wenn man will.
  2. The 2nd and 3rd links point at the same as the 1st link (changelogs). Nice updates, though Thanks ED and M3
  3. "Yeah", a 200 GB high ground-detailed update of Caucasus map will make DCS more beginner-friendly!? I disagree. Caucasus is the only map that works here on my 800$ spare PCs, so if ED decides to update it, I highly recommend to keep the old version as a compatible option. Maybe the big PC-trash-date after ending Win10 will change something in that regard, but for now plz let this one beginner-friendly map stay as it is. The guys I introduced DCS to and got lost in their beginning stated it would be useful to have: 1) that one "Start your experince" button in the main menu. Whatever that could be. A flight school (not to teach flying but introducing DCS to new users. Like a training mission with a free module hot starting on ramp or runway. Maybe explaining how keybinds work if the user asks for that.) 2) built-in keybindings for all/most of the sticks/HOTAS or controllers available (user community download sections are very nice but not for beginners imho) 3) cold-start tutorials/training missions for quick cold-starts that do not include all those tests of systems that never fail anyway as an option! (Full procedures are obviously needed by most hard core simmers here, but may scare some new users.)
  4. Hmm.... I reckon the chances the Israelis didn't know that...
  5. Finally found a workaround that helps me to get by till ED offers a convenient solution for this topic: Right at the start I switch on the pilot's flash light. And never switch the mouse cursor off the whole flight. (Even if I did this workaround still works.) When I don't use the cursor I drag it to the lower right corner i.e. outside of my view. The clue of this workaround lies here: you always know whether the mouse cursor is turned on or off (by keypress) because when it is turned off (by keypress) the flashlight always highlights the center of your view, no matter where the mouse cursor has been turned off. When the cursor times out and gets switched off after that automatically, the flashlight is not highlighting the center. So, you're always aware of the state of the cursor, and you can find it more easily with the spotlight around it. This sounds more complicated than it is and still may not be satisfying for everyone, but I got used to it and I like it. As said before, I'd prefer a solution that centers the cursor on every reappearance as an option, made by ED, though.
  6. Yeah, FM feels great now. A huge improvement to my initial experience in the DCS:F-4E. Even just flying cross country is a pure joy now. Now, after exiting DCS, I often find myself looking forward to my next flight in the Phantom right away. Thanks HB and ED!
  8. I've found unclassified public evidence that this behaviour is seen here at 0:25
  9. Hi, Aktive Pause an? Drehen die Triebwerke (RPM Anzeigen) hoch? Steht die F-4 im Dreck? Hast du eine Track-Datei für uns?
  10. Oh, let this get reality! Instead of selling my G2 under value, maybe I should buy some used ones for each of my family members at 100 EUR? I hope this is no hoax or joke!? Wellp, it would even help Windows 11's market share at the end of the year, so maybe MS should pay @mbucchia! Wish you all the best and great success.
  11. Has anyone seen a screenshot of the English cockpit yet? That would help me a lot with my decision to pre-purchase.
  12. I like that Wags/Pimax interview. Pimax seems to be extremely commited to bring the right VR headset for each taste. Seeing them work together with ED at such an extent is a pretty good thing for an HP Reverb G2 user like me that has to look for a VR life after G2's upcoming death. Lots of good news this week.
  13. Find the coordinates here: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osama_bin_Laden's_compound_in_Abbottabad Coordinates 34°10′9.6″N 73°14′32.8″E
  14. F-4E feels great now. Good job HB.
  15. I doubt Mike's real name is Tom, so just to clarify if you'd confused me we him, @Mike_Romeo provided the link
  16. Unfortunately this is not the case (after the first time you switch it on). The mouse cursor stays where you last switched it off or let it go off after timeout. A pity that I often don't remember where it was when that happens. Even worse, I often don't remember whether I turned it off or let it go to standby. So sometimes I try to switch it on, cause I don't see it appearing on mouse-movement which switches it off, and so on... What you expected is exactly what I would want to have though.
  17. Can only speak for myself. I don't post about FF F-15C because I know what I'll get and I'm already convinced to buy it. It will be ED-quality and it is an F-15C. Period.
  18. Yeah thanks a lot for that mission (package). Was surprised that there are no quick start missions comming with the Phantom II for GCW map (yet), so I was more than happy to try out yours and I like it a lot. Feels great to start out of Pferdsfeld and heading towards the east. Thanks for your efforts!
  19. It is a long wish to have the option to get the mouse pointer centred whenever it re-appears. Be it after switching it on by keypress or moving the mouse after it went to standby. Of course as an option for those who are affected by the issue of always searching the mouse pointer after it appears. I don't know why ED refuses such a solution. Maybe I'm missing something... idk.
  20. Jo, und so schnell wie die letzten 3 Markierungen andeuten fliegt die Fw190 doch gar nicht. Schon gar nicht IAS, oder?
  21. All I read about the MiG-29"A" is that it did not have R-27T/ER/ET's. So I'm glad this isn't the case for this variant.
  22. Thanks! The A2A weapons list is a nice surprise.
