  1. Agreed. My comment was aimed at the topic of the thread. There are a lot things that are not simulated yet. But with the decreased rate of CPU performance evolution I'm not too keen on getting those things faster. It's not that OP's point isn't valid nor any other wish that would bring DCS closer to reality.
  2. Yeah, the complexity of a game shouldn't grow faster than the performance of CPUs.
  3. I disagree. Try air2air refuelling before and after adding a larger deadzone. There is a difference I don't like. The better solution should come from ED. If they made this tiny zone that allows engagement of the AP just a bit bigger, no one would notice but those who suffer from this implementation. @UrgentSiesta glad the work around works for you.
  4. I don't claim that it is the best way for I certainly don't know a lot of ways to do so, but I learned a lot from the training missions of the DCS:C-101 Aviojet. Lovely simulated cockpit instruments and immersive navigation training missions, imho.
  5. Have you tried this setting?
  6. Just to sort things out: Are you running DCS in "offline mode"? (The little Antenna icon to the right of the module manager icon on top of the DCS menu)
  7. Hi, first of all, it is helpful to know that DCS stepped away from the old key number system some years ago. Today all your modules are connected to your account. So you don't need keys anymore to install modules. All you have to do is start the module manager on top of the DCS menu. Here is a nice and short video you might want to take a look at. It covers the buying process (you don't need) and from 1 min 3s on it shows where to find the module manager. In you case you want to select installed modules within the module manager to check for the spitfire.
  8. Have you tried to delete the binding for the TDC? Does it still drift afterwards? If so, you may want to delete the whole set of bindings of that device (on top of its column). Restart DCS and rebind the keys.
  10. From today's changelog: Better late than never. Thanks.
  12. it is Ugra Media:
  13. To me that's exactly the reason for buying and flying a DCS module. Simulating the shortcomings is as important as simulating an aircraft's strengths. The revolutionary Me 262 would be extremely interesting in both regards. (Btw, I hope you at ED get enough information about the shortcomings of the F-35A, that would add a lot to the credibility of this project, imho.)
  14. Ja, das hat das Video bei mir auch ausgelöst. Tut gut.
  15. BO-105 and Germany map in the same year would be... delicious.
  16. FF F-15C Eagle. Thank you ED! Great news. Germany map (by Ugra Media?!) is a no brainer, too for me. F-35A is gonna be an interesting journey to unknown territory. I will keep a critical eye on it, but most probably from an owner's point of view. I have a lots of "When?"s here. But you will share news as soon as there are news.... I know and I keep looking forward to that.
  17. I'm not 100% fine with this decision but I've been through this process of making my mind up already with the Eurofighter. (Not exactly the same but close.) In the end I came to the conclusion that I want to fly the Eurofighter. I loved EF2000 from the 90's and how close to the real thing was that? I want to fly the closest simulation of an F-35 to the real thing in any sim, and I'm sure ED will deliver it. But I respect everybody's opinion that fears to lose something by getting those kind of modules. So, I'm like 97% ok with it for myself, and that's enough fo me to buy it
  18. Another big thank you here. Can't wait to finally push all those buttons.
  19. Auch wenn's nur die AI wäre, gibt es wohl nach der F-35A Bombe Hoffnung für jedes Flugzeug.
  20. Don't know if it is related but here is a thread with a similar issue and a solution:
  21. Some day ED should add a warning to those licence error windows, to check for anti virus software exclusions. There are so many threads with this kind of problem and the same solution, including my own some time ago. And this won't be the last one I'm afraid. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate every one of those threads, bc they show there is a systematic problem with DCS that could occur to anybody (who hasn't made the exclusions before). (Never ever had such an issue with any other game/software.)
