  1. Having grown up in the 80s, and 90s, Jester is pretty tame. Jester can't actually steal your lunch money. He's fine how he is.
  2. I'm running the Patreon version (3.2), and whenever I end the mission, even if I completed the mission tasks successfully, I get the "You lost" message for the campaign, and none of my A2A or A2G kills are recorded to the pilot log. I am for sure commenting out the correct lines in missionscripting.lua. Is this just the way it is, or am I doing something wrong?
  3. @Glloq Thanks for that, I'll give it a try.
  4. Will do, thanks for that.
  5. @Glloq, thanks again for recommending Area 18. I spent some time modifying it to my liking, but what I can't figure out is how to change what types of enemies spawn for each random mission. I'd like to make the enemies more of an 80s cold war flavor. Is there a way to do this?
  6. Didn't notice this (was mainly looking at the trim, which works great btw), but it's not unrealistic that if you move the collective too fast, the engine can't surge fast enough to provide power to maintain RPM. Also, in case it helps anyone, had to invert the FFB y-axis for my Brunner CLS-E. Works fine now.
  7. Ah cool, the easy fix. Hopefully a patch/hotfix gets here before I decide to go that route.
  8. It's a known bug. If you use the mission editor to reduce fuel, it works fine. If you use the re-arm/refuel panel in the mission, you're stuck with whatever fuel weight the mission editor assigned. As they said, it's noted, and will be fixed.
  9. Nah, not interested in the arcade gameplay. Just interested in the story, and the music. Thanks, I'll give it a try.
  10. Am I the only one that wants an Area88 campaign. Dynamic, great, static, still awesome. Anyway, keep watching the show, and wanting to do it here. I even took all the SNES and arcade songs and made them .ogg's so I can listen to them while I fly using the DCS Walkman mod.
  11. That certainly sounds strange. Make sure there isn't a random control bind that's driving your engine power to idle. This would be the "Fuel Flow Lever" bind.
  12. Thanks, sounds good. I can confirm, I'm running Updater 2.0 as administrator, but the app (3dMigoto) is not being run as administrator if I use a shortcut from Updater. If I use a Taskbar, or desktop shortcut for the same app, then it runs as administrator.
  13. Yeah, that works fine. I'm trying to use Skate's GUI to do it. Really a nice to have, not need to have.
  14. I have DCS installed on a different drive than my C Drive, but I'll give this a shot.
  15. @SkateZilla, is there a way to make it launch an app in Administrator Mode? Am I missing an easy Windows command? The app in question launches fine when I use a shortcut on the desktop, or taskbar with the proper box checked in 'Properties', but when I use the your app to launch it, it doesn't run as administrator.
  16. Epic update Skate! Does anyone know if there's a way to make a custom app Run as Administrator?
  17. Is it still possible to host missions that feature terrains I don’t own if I run it this way?
  18. Is it possible to have the dedicated server installed on the same machine as a client install, and share whatever terrain files are already installed on the client side in order to save disk space?
  19. Yeah, sorry, I think I was translating what the helicopter was doing to what I thought my hand was doing. It would be nice to know if the right skid low is due to CG, or an intentional tilt of the main transmission.
  20. Maybe this is purposeful to counteract translating tendency. The CG being forward and right explains the right skid low hover, and tilt to the right on takeoff. Also, while not knowing the accuracy of CG shift in the Gazelle, I do know based on the helicopters I've flown, center-of-gravity (CG) is based on aircraft loading, and is not set based on the airframe. If the CG is naturally forward and right on the Gazelle, how much forward and right would be based on loadout, and fuel.
  21. I just tried no armament, no doors, and 25% fuel. Pretty nimble if you ask me. As far as tilting to the right, translating tendency would push the aircraft left. You'll notice that you need to put in right cyclic as you pick it up to a hover to counteract left drift. This left drift is due to the tail rotor pushing the aircraft as it increases thrust (translating tendency). Therefore, you end up with a right skid low hover. If you don't have enough power in to hover, you will be putting the majority of the aircraft weight on the right skid. Not managed correctly, this condition can lead to dynamic rollover.
  22. One thing to note, I imagine any Gazelle at an airshow performance is not loaded for combat. It probably isn't even close to being over a half a tank of fuel.
  23. Still having this issue.
