Unrelated question, but is it possible to have an option to change the color of the NVGs? For example, the default Russian NVGs are white. There are many units in the US military that use white phosphorus goggles too. There are actually quite a few different colors out there, but white and green are the most common.

I completely disagree with this statement. More correct would be, "it's impossible to please all users." But, the reality is, the H-60 is a highly configurable, and modular platform. If the goal was to create a bare bones UH-60L with the original 1970s cockpit, then it was met on release. Arguably exceeded when the fuel probe was added, which I would find hard to believe ever existed with a vanilla CIS/128 cockpit. If other modders, or the original modder want to add other modular features that the H-60 has acquired over the years, then, cool. More options. If you don't want to use them, don't. If modders don't want to add to it, or the original modder doesn't want to work on it anymore, then, whatever. It's already a great representation as it is of a possible H-60 configuration. My statement about the M230 was only in reference to common weapons found on the MH-60L. If it ever happens, cool. If not, miniguns and rockets are still pretty fun.

Flappie, thanks, that was it. Looks like I learned something about log files today.

New issue for me, but I can't get DCS to start. I've uninstalled all mods, run repair twice (one quick, the other full), and re-installed (clean) my Graphics card drivers. I can't get it to start in VR, or flat screen. Attached are my log files. dcs.log dcs.log.old

reported CPG VR view is off center to the L side

I don't have a track unfortunately, but I was running through run-up and boresight procedures yesterday. When I did an IHADSS boresight in the back seat, took off and test fired the 30mm, rounds were pretty accurate. When I did the same thing from the front seat (both separate cold starts), I felt like I had to lean way right, and scrunch down in the seat to get the concentric circles to center with my LOS cue. Afterwards I took off and did a test fire with the 30mm, and the rounds were impacting about center, but off about three LOS cross lengths above the LOS cue. Suspect this might be related. I'll keep testing when I can. -
Ah, ok, thanks. I uninstalled mods in the main folder, but not the User Files folder. Must be the 53, which I never fly, so, off it goes. Thanks!

That would be awesome! The below images are from a couple you tube videos of the Ka-50 in game. One looks like it's using a mod similar to yours to make the NVGs a normal round shape, which would be accurate. The other looks like the default ED NVGs. Either way, basically your mod's green NVGs, just white color instead as seen in these two pics.
-
Just tried your mod. This is how default NVGs in DCS should be. Also, it would be nice to be able to switch the color of the phosphorus depending on which type and era you'd like to simulate. Older US Military NVGs were all typically green, but white is becoming more proliferated. The Ka-50's NVGs are white, so it's definitely possible.

Not sure how long this has been this way, having not flown nights in the UH-1 in awhile, but this is what I get when I do. The lighting for the gauges is unusable.
-
Real NVGs have adjustments for up, down, left and right each tube, and fore/aft from your face. Might be a bridge too far, but would help people who have different VR headsets to get the NVGs where they are usable. Not being able to see the cockpit under the goggles makes NVG flying pretty terrible in DCS. The AH-64 makes up for this with the NVS mode of flight, which is primary for this aircraft, but if you wanted to use NVGs, and absolutely with other aircraft, you need to be able to see the cockpit instruments underneath.

See the link below for a rendering of each warhead. You can see that the M151 and M282 are very similar in length. The M282 actually looks a bit shorter. The rockets are loaded and seated all the way to the rear of the pod no matter which type is loaded, so it stands to reason that the M282 would be recessed the same as the M151. Hydra 70 Rocket with Warheads - 3D Model by Akela Freedom (renderhub.com) Here's another comparison: The right most is an M282 (without umbilical, so not an A1 variant), the 5th from the right is an M151, and just for comparison, the 3rd from the left is an M229.

This. Fuel flow will be based on how much torque you're pulling to maintain your airspeed/altitude.
-
That’s what I thought, which if that’s the case, the more common version without selectable fuzing should probably be what’s simulated (as you said, no umbilical). Either way, whichever version ED decides to keep with the module, the MPPs shouldn’t stick out of the front of the pod.
-
Sounds good, thanks.
-
Thanks! Is the lack of a ‘fixed option’ aside from GND STOW correct compared to the actual aircraft, or a feature yet to be added?
-
If it’s the A1 version, it would. Not sure if that’s correct for the year/version being modeled. The vanilla M282 has no umbilical, and a nominal 6 + or - 4 ms delay. I noticed the rocket mfd page has fuze setting options, which caters to the umbilical, but I’m not sure how proliferated these are in the Army compared to the vanilla MPP.
-
The M282A1 warhead sticks out of the front of the M261 rocket pod as modeled in the sim. The warhead is roughly the same length as an M151, so it should be recessed in the pod with the umbilical being visible out the front when properly loaded.
-
I haven’t been able to get the rocket pylons to fix forward, and not actuate. I’ve tried selecting fixed through the weapons page on the mfd on the rat page, but they still move up an down with my head movement. Am I missing something, or is his a bug?

Can all ammunition get a no tracer option? Or at least DODICs (US only term) that come with that option? Day tracers with NVGs are killer, and unrealistic by current standards.
-
Still hoping for the ability to add a grease mark to the window, in both seats. Also, would love to be able to change ammunition types for the M134. Would love a dim tracer only visible with NVGs, but would take a no tracer option as well.
