  1. Wow, this is ridiculous. How dare you, Paypal?
  2. That sounds extremly cool. I hope there is a wishlist thread for that in the Harrier forum. :(
  3. How is that function for the wind correction called in the Harrier? I have not found anything in the documentation, yet.
  4. I remember my own thread: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=253663 Basically, if your weaponsystem does not support wind corrections, then you should attack along the wind direction and use ripple mode.
  5. Hmm... that is interesting. I guess even the devs might be surprised how reliable the JF-17 is. :D Edit: The reason for my assumption was not that I am biased against non-western aircraft whatsoever. I just secretly hoped to get an unreliable aircraft with interesting quirks.
  6. The JF-17 is supposed to be a cheap aircraft, so probably in real life it is not very reliable. I.e. failures might be an important aspect for this aircraft, which is why I wonder how realistic system and engine failures are simulated for the JF-17. I know that by default the chance of failures in DCS is usually very small, but mission creators could try to use realistic probability values for the available aircraft failures.
  7. There is gun ammo in the F-14 for this mission, but you need to set the ammo-counter yourself, if you have started up the F-14. Else the counter will always show 0.
  8. There are different ways for being at the bandit's 6. 6 oclock is just a rough description that you are behind someone. I have yet to find out what exactly triggers the endless AI looping-loops, but in some cases they make some nice maneuvers other than just looping, even when you approach them from their 6 (at least for WW2 aircraft this is true). On the other hand though, once the AI got in that loop, it will not stop unless its pursuer stops being on its 6 or when the AI runs out of fuel.
  9. Whether the AI gets trapped in that looping-loop is dependent on how you approach the AI. If you get very close to their six, then the AI looses its creativity and just starts looping, but from slightly different angles you can see some interesting AI maneuvers. So currently the AI improvements are not always visible.
  10. I have noticed that the AI keeps its heading towards its ground target, after it has dropped weapons like GBU-bombs. It only changes its course after the dropped weapon has exploded. Instead the AI should fly away from the target after dropping its weapon, even when the AI still needs to lase its target. I have tried to use a lua script to make the AI switch waypoints after dropping its bomb, but that resulted in a bug, where the AI kept flying along its heading without following any waypoint or going RTB.
  11. Ok, thanks for the clarification. :(
  12. On reddit I was reading that you can use ammo trucks to rearm SAMs, but I do not always want to use trucks. Sometimes I just want to use an ammo box for smaller units like manpads. So I am looking for a general guide or a lua script for how to rearm the AI or even human players (if they have Combined Arms). It would be also nice to allow only certain weapons to be rearmed. I am a little bit stuck on this topic.
  13. Nah, actually I just wanted to know, if I can wait for the Wintersale on Steam to gain more experience for buying the JF-17. You can hate me now if you like. :D
  14. For how long will the EA sale continue? Until the end of this month?
  15. Why? Currently in DCS each SD-10 is an earth shaking weapon that can blast almost everything from the sky. You are going to by a flying SA-10! Meanwhile the Mirage III is still in the PAF and can only carry one SARH missile, when it will come to DCS. :megalol:

I am not sure if that is what the opening post is talking about. If he is talking about the AI, then your wingmen always give o'clock-headings with respect to their own heading, wheares allied flights from other groups give BRA-information. I wish the AI wingmen would also use BRA-calls once they break out of formation (wishlist @ED :music_whistling:).
  17. I do not own the JF-17, yet. So how does the flight behavior feel like? Is it comparable to other fly-by-wire aircraft like the Hornet? Does it have any interesting quirks or can you feel high AOAs? What about the new systems like IFF or the ground radar? Anything interesting to mention about them?
  19. One thing of note: Jester has no calls for an event when you lock a non-friendly contact. It would help a lot, if he would say something like "raygun", so the player immediately knows that it might be a hostile on the radar lock. When I was a beginner, I thought that Jester's call "we got him now" would mean that I locked a hostile, but that call is not refering to the radar lock, which can be very misleading. Btw. I would suggest using only short callouts like "Buddylock" instead of "we locked a friendly". It would me more realistic as well I think. Long callouts are only ok for BVR fights when you got the time.
  20. Gibt es schon Tutorials, wie man Ziele mit dem Bodenradar findet?
  21. Does that mean you cannot even use setTask for assigning a new task after using resetTask? Does my code have the same problem, when the AI goes RTB?
  22. Oh, that is an easier solution and has the same result like mine. :) I was assuming that resetTask just restarts the current task.
  23. For me it worked, when I used the code above to stop an AI task consisting of several barrel rolls. The idea of my workaround was to make the AI go RTB, by simply replacing all AI tasks (including waypoints) with an arbitrary task, that will not be executed anyway, because of the code line ["condition"] = "return false". So it was not necessary for you to change parameters like "Race-Track" with something else. Could you try it again without changing those parameters? Maybe your changes broke my code. Also make sure, that the code for the AI-task-stop is executed at the right time. Adding an ingame message when the code is executed can be helpful for bugfixing. If this still does not work, you can upload your mission and I will take a look at it.
  24. Modelling submarines will be another world in DCS. They would not have too much interaction with aircraft, yes. However, submarine simulators are something very interesting on their own especially for modern subs. If DCS included this aspect of warfare, it would become a real beast in the combat simulator franchise.
