Ok, that makes sense for me now. Although it is still not the exact discount like for normal E-shop-buyers, because on steam the calculation of the discount is 50$ * 0.7 * 0.8 = 28 $ wheareas on the E-shop it is probably 50$ * 0.5 = 25$ That is just a small difference, so I do not want to complain. The price is still very fair. Thanks ED!

Thanks for your reply. I own the Hornet on Steam, but I only have the -20%-Prepurchase-Discount in my inventory. When I add the Supercarrier to my shopping cart, then the final price is 26,39€, so there is no Hornet-discount for me. Only the pre-order-discount.
-
If it is ED's decision not giving the discount to Steam-users of the Hornet, then I respect that. I just would like to to know if this is really an intentional decision or a technical problem. If it is a technical problem, then maybe it can be solved in a few weeks, in which case I would wait before pre-ordering. So is there any official statement from ED about this? Can Hornet-owners get a second discount on Steam?

Yes, and in addition to that I think the enivronment should have an increases blue tone dependent on how much bright blue sky is available. In real life the light from the blue sky makes the ground look more blue-ish. I have found a workaround to get that blue-ish tone with ReShade, which makes DCS look better during day (not at night of course).

No, it is not camouflage. The same holds true for aircraft skins with a good visibility.
-
The skycolors seem to be too dark even on low altitudes, when you are looking up at high angles. Maybe the Rayleigh scattering of the atmosphere needs some rework in DCS. It would certainly make dogfights easier, if we do not loose our targets against the dark blue sky so easily. Currently I have set my gamma value at max to see bandits above me.

On Steam it is possible to grant owners of a product a price reduction for another product. It happened to owners of CMANO, who were able to buy CMO for half the price. Maybe you could ask Valve about how they made it happen.

I also wonder what trigger.action.rectToAll is good for. It seems like you can send some circles or rectangles to all players, but I have no clue, what that could mean.
-
Any idea what trigger.action.circleToAll is good for? This function is not documented on Hoggit.

It is unfortunate, that we can only respawn Player-slots, but no Client-slots. I did a test-mission in multiplayer and my script was able to respawn my own Player-slot, but I think this would not work with more than one player. I wonder how DCS is deciding which player is in the Player-slot. Is it the host of the server? If it was possible to convert a Client-slot to the new Player-slot during the mission, then this would allow a workaround for Client-respawns.

DCS Persian Gulf - terrain noise tiles fix.
Tiramisu replied to Mustang's topic in Texture/Map Mods for DCS World
Finally, ED takes a look at this.:thumbup: -
It depends. Which FC3 module was your favorite? If it was the A-10A, then go for the Viggen. If you liked air combat more, then go for the Mirage. However, it takes some time to learn the weapon systems of the Mirage. The Viggen is easier to learn and in the right hands it can also shoot down enemy fighters. Actually I found the Viggen to be more fun, but do not expect to shoot down 4th-gen fighters with it. What the Mirage and the Viggen have in common is their deltawing design. That means they are very maneuverable at high speeds, but they struggle very hard at low speeds, so you have to manage your energy well.

Yes of course, but I meant repeated friendly fire that becomes obvious. E.g. when multiple teamkills took place within a short time. If you do not like autoban, then you could make your script collect data from every friendly fire occurence, so you can decide yourself who you want to ban. Alternatively you could automatically send warn messages to players who made teamkills. Every teamkill increases the warn-score and that score only reduces slowly over time. Once the score hits a certain treshold, the player will be autobanned.

Single Chaff Single Flare Separate Command Possible?
Tiramisu replied to GrEaSeLiTeNiN's topic in JF-17 Thunder
I have read somewhere that the JF-17 is so easy to use that you can do everything with HOTAS commands. So I am a bit disappointed that you have to use MFCD-bindings for important basic functions. I had a similar problems with the guns, because you need the MFCD to feed them. Imho everything that requires a quick action during combat should be doable with the HOTAS, but I understand that it is not Deka's fault. -
Thanks for sharing! I will definitely watch this instead of the silly Top Gun sequel.
-
So the clan abused friendly fire to give the red team an unfair advantage? Can't you just use a script to autoban people, who repeatedly use friendly fire?
-
Meh, just because unsatisfied customers post more often does not mean that they are the majority. It is more tempting to write something, when you want to complain than when you just want to thank the team for their work. :D Anyway, I am really happy to see the announcement. Hope they will finish it in Q1 2020.

Tacview, the ACMI for DCS World – Official Thread
Tiramisu replied to Vyrtuoz's topic in DCS Modding
Hey, thanks for the update! It is good to see this bugfix, but it only works if Tacview is not already running. When it is running, then you still cannot open new acmi-files automatically by double clicking on them in the explorer. For me this is sometimes a problem, because Steam takes quite a while to close Tacview properly. I have written a programm in C# to fix those problems even when tacview is running. If anyone is interested, you can see my code here and run it as a windows application (you would have to change the directories though, if you want to use it for your PC): Btw. is there a way to use the steam-license to unlock the non-steam-license? I would like to display my flights in realtime on my notebook while DCS is running on my PC, because my PC has problems running Tacview and DCS at the same time and I would also like to use the second screen from my notebook. I am not sure how I could do that with the steamversion of tacview, because my DCS is also using Steam. Thanks. -
Is there a time schedule when German bombers are coming for WW2 Assets? I consider that to be pretty important for setting up missions. At least Ju-87 should be added imo. The damage model really needs some fix. It made me a bit sad, that WW2 vehicles almost cannot be killed. :(
