  1. That is disappointing, because the wind errors can be much bigger than the usual errors of CCIP in my opinion. If aircraft like the Harrier just had an additional wind correction computer, then it would be a lot more accurate. My workaround is to align myself with the wind direction and use the ripple mode. For the Harrier I use 2 Zuni with a separation of 10 feet to get pretty good results. Another method I have tried, is to attack tanks from a shallow angle in order to be able to get very close to them for more precision. However, the downside is that since tanks have a strong armor on their side, it also takes 2 Zunis to kill them. Only one Zuni does not have enough penetration to kill them from shallow angles. So basically I need 2 Zunis per tank kill, which is a lot considering the fact that you need two pylons on the Harrier for only 8 Zuni rockets in total, just because of the missing wind correction. I wonder why military engineers did not take something important like this into account.
  2. My problem is also solved. I had to click the refresh-button a few times, before I could try to connect via the IP. :)
  3. It seems like the pipper in the CCIP-mode for aircraft like the SU-25 or the Harrier do not take the wind into account, which is why my bombs/rockets always have the same offset from the target in the direction of the wind. I have searched the internet how to enter wind corrections in the aircraft systems, but so far I have only found a solution for the A-10C. At the moment I have to do the wind correction myself using trial and error methods. Also I get the best results when I attack along the wind direction. However, for me this is still really hard, especially when I have to use unguided air-to-ground-weapons against armored units, that only get damaged on direct hits. When my warhead explodes just a few feet besides a tank, then it will do no damage at all. So what should I do? :(
  4. I have tried to connect to this server via the 193.70.81.86 IP-address for the last few days, but it has never worked for me, yet.

Danke euch beiden! :)
  6. I had a guilty conscience when I bought two modules at once in the last winter sale. A few months later I bought a lot more modules worth 200€ in total during only one summer sale...
  7. The Tomcat is awesome... unless you are not an experienced pilot. In that case I would advice you to get the Hornet. It has interesting flight behaviors, a noob-friendly fly-by-wire-system and a lot of functionality. Go get it!
  9. Dann besteht also die Möglichkeit, dass DCS in einigen Jahren RTX verwendet?

Oh... ok.

Was meint ihr dazu?
  14. It is a little bit offtopic, but I have a question: Has ED tried to mimic human behavior with machine learning? The statistical data could be collected from real players and it could solve both the intelligence and the realism problems of the AI.
  15. You can make the AI flight performance much more realistic by improving things like the aerodynamics matrix. I have done it for the Spitfire and now it feels much more like if it was flown by a real human.
  16. I did not notice any of those differences in the AI behavior mentioned by Pikey. The newsletter says that the AI changes should be part of this week's open beta, but I already have turned on the open beta on steam. The only thing I have not tested yet is the AI for WW2 aircraft.
  17. In DCS I love the fact that... ...you can use HOTAS-buttons as modifiers as well. ...the AI cannot finish their current ATC announcement, after they have died. ...unlike the other aircraft the Mirage simulates the fact that landing on rough terrain will instantly rip your aircraft apart. ...you can specifically select units in the F-10 Map for the ground unit view, if you own the Combined Arms module. ...you can use Lua codes for every unit waypoint in the Mission Editor. ...it is possible to shoot down hostile missiles with your own IR-missiles. ...every swastika in DCS is censored except the one on the medal on the German WW2 pilot's chest. lol :D

    Tracks!

Is ED currently working on a fix for all replay track issues or was this patch only a one-time trial to fix it? Btw. I wonder if bugs in the tracks are caused by a slow processor. The replays in the videos of Growling Sidewinder seem to work perfectly. Maybe it is because of his PC system.
  23. Blaming Razbam for their past mistakes (which they might correct in the future) is ok, but you should not blame them for the flight characteristics of the real M2K, because they cannot change reality. Professional pilots have confirmed that Razbam's flight model of the M2K has reached a study level quality, so when you are criticizing their flight model you basically criticize the real world Mirage as well.
