  1. Hopefully this fixes the bug that the view point is too high. Even after lowering my seat I was not able to read the upper line on my radar properly.
  2. Good luck finding other developers, who update their stable versions more frequently than ED. I am used to see big updates only every 6 or 12 months from other game/sim devs, so ED and their 3rd party devs are actually making a good job compared to the others.

  4. Me after buying a new aircraft: do dogfights with it for hours while neglecting all other aspects of that aircraft. Even in the Viggen. :D

That is a very interesting read, but for the most part the section about the flight model is mostly describing extreme situations and I doubt that normal reallife pilots can give much feedback about that, because they usually do not fly dangerous maneuvers. I mean we would probably have to ask testpilots or engineers about the flight model in extreme situations. So I would not 100% agree with the following conclusion from the document: However, I have to agree with the part in the document, that mentions the weird behavior, when you change the position of your collective and the Gazelle banks in an unnatural way. The transition from one bank angle to another feels very clipped and very sudden in that situation, unless there is some fly-by-wire-mechanics going on that I am not aware of. Still I believe the roll behavior needs some fixes in general. And the fall behavior might also needs some fixes like the document mentions. Other than that the flight model feels very solid for an Advanced Flight Model (AFM) imo. It is behaving pretty much the way I would expect from a light helicopter. Btw. its relatively small mass might be the reason, why there is almost no VRS for the Gazelle. I am not quite sure about that.

  7. I have the latest version DCS 2.5.6.43931 from Open Beta and I thought the LOD-bug has been already fixed by ED.
  8. I am not sure, if this has been already reported, but as you can see here the dead manpad is not visible any more on max zoom-out-level. Probably it would also happen to alive units, but I have not tried that out yet: Of course the unit becomes smaller when I zoom out, but he should still be visible, if this bug did not occure.
  9. I would advice you to download missions from the community or create a simple one yourself, because the instant missions I tried for the Gazelle were not really "instant". Instead it takes a long time of flight until you reach your target, which is not very helpful for beginners imo.

  11. Maybe ED needs to develop the snipers first. We are missing snipers in general, because there are only normal infantery units.
  12. What exactly is missing for the flight model? I have noticed a few situations, when it feeled a bit unrealistic, but it is not as bad as some people mentioned.

    Oh, I forgot to mention that I have bought it as a Steam-bundle. So I assumed that it is also possible in the E-shop. Maybe you simply have to add the bundle to your chart and get only charged for the helos you do not own yet.

    It should be possible. I already owned the Ka-50 and the Huey, so I could get the Mi-8 and the Gazelle for just 33€ in the bundle. That is 65% discount for all missing helos. :thumbup:

  17. Before Patch 2.5.6 I could embark troops in a simple mission that I had once created. Now I do not have any radio-options to embark them, when I land next to the troops. Does anyone else have a similar issue or am I just getting crazy? :D

  19. The new cockpit is beautiful, but has anyone else noticed that the HUD is harder to read? I have turned the brightness of the HUD up, but it is still hard to see what information is given on the HUD, especially when the environment is bright. Edit: Oh, sorry. Someone else already noticed this a few posts ago. :D That is very helpful. Thank you! It is RSHIFT + H btw.

    What is SSLR?

    I wonder if it is worth putting a lot of development efforts into SSLR instead of skipping to the raytracing-technology already.
  23. The landscapes are not much affected during daylight, but you should have compared some cockpits as well. E.g. the cockpit of the Mirage looks different now. Especially those glassy weapon-select-buttons at the bottom left of the front panel look much more realistic imo.
  24. Have you maxed out your visibility range in the graphics settings? When my settings had a small range I also had problems finding ground objects, because they poped up only at close distances. However, I did not test this in 2.5.6.
