  1. feed, on the same page, upper left. just like MIG21:lol:
  2. try keep your nose up to about 12 to 13 degree for aerodynamic braking, lower the nose around 100kt and start using the brake. should workout just fine.
  3. check your post at 36, 40. you are the one who`s asking the balance. and JF-17 never was a copy of F16, it was a product developed of late Chengdu F7 fighter which is a chinese version of MIG21. study up before saying it`s a copy of so and so. I`m done with this post for sure.
  4. Oh, you are using wiki huh ? great, take a look at this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PL-12 see the range ? and by the way, this is not top secret page.
  5. have ED fix 120`s problem before asking 3party to nerf or buff SD-10. done.
  6. so you are not sure. just wait for the aircraft then we all can see.
  7. should not trigger, does not mean it won`t trigger. also,if i ought to point out, you have not been locked up in the reak F16 by the real aircraft right ? so how how would you know it will trigger ? yes ED so far chosen to model as no reduction, but again, it`s EA version. do you know how will they approach this issue ? you are very welcome to tell us. you won the conversation, now what do you get ? :smilewink: I think beamscanner did a excellent job show us how to communicate. and he did provide good information for me to learn at least.
  8. let me provide you a reference, Growling Sidewinder had a DCS F16 VIPER AIR TO AIR Radar Tutorial. I`m pretty sure he got this info from a different simulation. we don`t have to interpret anything. it`s up to dev group how they want to do it. so, yes, sam mode reduce the chance for being detected or considered a threat. the chance of revealing ownship position "may" be reduced. if that`s true, how ? if it`s not true. then why should we even consider using the sam mode ?
  9. bugged target should not trigger the rwr of the target. probably just EA thing, should be fix later.
  10. mode 1 is a 2 digits code, this share with all friendly unit. change at specific time of the day. mode 2 is a 4 digits code hard wire to your airframe, some aircraft can program by pilot, like F16. mode 3 is a 4 digits code use for civilian ATC mode 4 is the player here, it's the code which cannot be spoof. you can select different mode to be use from icp iff page, and use TMS left key to send out the interrogate signal, and you will be able to see target reply on your mfd. and yes you need to put some thought process into it to prevent blue on blue. some friendly unit don't have mode 4. o forgot to turn on, or flip the mode 4 a/b code set.
  11. had two ctd, both me and my rio who trying to take the back seat. then dcs crash to desktop, anybody can duplicate the issue ?
  12. previous thread with bug report was closed but no update from ED side....
  13. Smart scaling maybe? :smilewink:
  14. actually it is. according to a real fighter pilot recollection. try to find the a very popular tv show call dogfight. one IAF pilot said he could spot the fighter around 20 to 25nm while his colleague can only see around 15nm. some people has the eagle eye, probably beyond the chart that could measured. yes you can "effectively quantify that." what if someone who calling out of bandit or bogey multiple times at longer distance than anybody who can see them? i`d more prone to someone who was actually up there.
  15. thanks. just noticed the date on the manual.
  16. NCTR needs the radar to point target`s inlet so the radar beam can read the turbine fan characteristics. so NCTR has certain aspect angel requirement while you in the offense position, radar cannot "read" into the inlet. but just like Bimbac said, you can use visual ID by that range, why would you need NCTR ?
  17. Some says A-10C Warthog stick was "borrowed" from the F16. I`d say http://www.realsimulator.com/ does have very good Cougar and Warthog FSSB mode, but it does cost money. I personally recommanded FSSB R2 for Cougar if you have a set of cougar at first place. It doese feel good in SIMS.
  18. edited.
  19. that`s highy depend upon the individuals. Heard a pilot can spot the tiny dot at 20nm, others say 10, 15..everybody is different.
  20. emergency wingsweep as axis please.
  21. hope this bird turn into a official mod
  22. how about emergency wing sweep(pull the handle) .and emeg wingsweep forward and backward ?
  23. thanks for the tips and quick reply. next question will be will the dev team put such system into the sim ? :smilewink:
