  1. Be sure to set the resolution to the native res for the monitor, don't just check full screen. I read in another thread that the icons do not align with the clickable locations unless the resolutions match...
  2. Diemos

    2.5 Upgrade path

Ignore the numbers and think of your installations as "Live", "Beta", and "Alpha"... My bet is they update "Live" to 2.5, copying the appropriate files from "Alpha" and "Beta" to save bandwidth, just as they do now...
  3. If you have the chance, try another power supply. Remember too that voltage is not the only factor in determining if the PS is sufficient. Be sure you have sufficient amperage as well...
  4. If it works on the default, make sure that you check the "Lock profile when game is running" checkbox where you add the EXE. Also, oddly enough, make sure you click on the Default Profile before you close the gaming software, or it tends not to switch applications properly...
  5. It would still be a LOT simpler if there were a "save all/load all" button, instead of having to "load" EVERY controller for EVERY aircraft... Since all the files are together in one spot, I can't imagine it would be that hard to scan and match categories (i.e., Joystick - HOTAS Warthog{xxxxxx, etc} probably matches up with Joystick - HOTAS Warthog {yyyyyyy, etc.})...
  6. You are using the Logitech Gaming Software, correct? You have to create a profile for each game you want to (re)program the keys, and associate the game's EXE in the profile to have the profile load automatically... If you are not using the Gaming Software, there's not much you can do unless you redo the keys for each game (using the quick macro function). Go to the Logitech site for software/further explanation...
  7. Sounds very much like something in the background is taking focus away from DCS. Have you been using the Alt+ENT (?) hotkey to put it in true full screen?
  8. Looks right to me... As you look away, the sea still reflects the lit sky...
  9. Poor (?) representation of a fuel leak, and not all cars destroyed? A description would help... :) EDIT: Misread "Specular" as "Spectacular"... Some sort of lighting bug?
  10. I don't know where all these ranges are coming from, but anecdotally, I can stand in my backyard and watch aerobatic planes flying around in their designated zones, and they are easily visible at 20 - 25 miles... Much smaller than a fighter... Then again, my wife can barely see them... Think of it as the difference between people's RL vision...
  11. Did you try mounting the Oculus sensor ON the motion platform? That would keep the angle relative...
  12. Same issue. Mirrors off more than doubles my framerate, and was not the case prior to updating.
  13. Simply spitballing, so don't get mad, but is it possible you are trying to lock the ghost? There would have to be a difference between where the target actually is vs. where it is shown, based on the current location of the sweep... And several hundred knots of closure could make that difference significant. Maybe try moving the cursor a little toward the direction of travel, instead of directly on the mark..?
  14. Look at your motion in the TrackIR software. Odds are VERY good that your reflectors are going out of range... The TIR software gets very confused when the dots align, or when one or more of them is not visible to the camera. If you can't distinctly see all three dots (triangle with the clip, or vertical bar with the "pro"), neither can the software...
  15. Not to mention that the US Air Force flies plenty of Cessnas, Beechcrafts, etc...
  16. Did you try the ALT-ENT keys for full screen? I remember they had an issue with being in windowed mode even though full screen is checked in the options... Worth a shot...
  17. Jacks; Just checking, but did you properly reinstall the drivers for the 980? I have thought when going nvidia>nvidia that the driver would just pick it up, but I had issues similar to what you describe until I did a full reinstall/reboot...
  18. I doubt it's a bug, since a contrail is formed by the compression of air across the wing/body of the aircraft, not the engine... I could be mistaken, but I think I'm correct in this...
  19. I've read a lot of threads discussing trim, and everyone seems to ignore using the throttle... If you're between clicks on the trimmer, adjust the throttle a tad and you might be able to find that "sweet spot"..?
  20. I wonder what kind of FPS hit lesser systems might take to render attenuated light... :noexpression:
  21. Fun With Simulators! :megalol:
  22. Have you tried ALT+Enter? Even with Full Screen checked, 2.0 starts in windowed mode...
