Could really use a "say again" command
GTFreeFlyer replied to CptTangerine's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Same way you would set up any key bind. Just go to the controls menu for the A-10C and search in the CDU drop-down. There’s a bind for CDU A button, B button, C button, etc. -

Same here. Jot in down on paper and then work the CDU later. Alternative which works for me: If I’m expecting coordinates to be given to me, I already have a new waypoint created and named something like “JTAC” or “Target” and I leave the CDU page up. I have all my letter and number keys on the keyboard bound to the CDU, so I can just punch stuff in really quick rather than clicking each in the virtual cockpit with a mouse. -

Just shoot me a PM to get going. -
Great plane to fly and also sit in the back. One minor “bug” I noticed while sitting in the back seat was that the mirrors render what the pilot sees, not what you see. You can sit perfectly still and then ask your pilot to move his head around and you’ll see the images in all the mirrors start to move around. Again, minor. Great flight model and the thing flies like it’s on the rails. Definitely a great jet trainer. Cockpit looks excellent in VR, and it’s neat sitting so low to the ground compared to the other jets I’m flying. Thanks for this!

The Enemy Within 3.0
GTFreeFlyer replied to baltic_dragon's topic in A-10C The Enemy Within Campaign 3.0
This has been a popular request for a very long time. Baltic responded quite recently by releasing TEW3.0 MP here... https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=245203 Cheers -
That is strange. I rarely ever start in the center because I’m not typically sitting straight in my chair when the sim loads up. Once I’m in the cockpit I position myself in my chair and then recenter the view. Never had issues with it. I’ll be watching for an answer. Now I’m curious.

Flight and wingman coms
GTFreeFlyer replied to Andrew u.k.'s topic in A-10C The Enemy Within Campaign 3.0
2nd radio in the Hog is UHF. You mentioned 2nd FM frequency, which is likely your third radio. 1st radio is AM. -
Flight and wingman coms
GTFreeFlyer replied to Andrew u.k.'s topic in A-10C The Enemy Within Campaign 3.0
Are you also transmitting on the 2nd frequency? Check your key binds for the transmit button for each of your three radios. You might have to turn off easy comms, but I’m not 100% sure. -
There is a key binding for VR recenter. Look for it in UI menu or General menu.

Hey Boomer. Just came across this. There’s a new update for that mission I posted today. Also seems like DCS fixed this stupid bug. I’m still waiting for them to fix the ILS freq. for Bandar runway 21L, lol. Seems too simple to pass up. I reported it a long time ago.

Please fix - Units disperse under fire when told not to
GTFreeFlyer replied to GTFreeFlyer's topic in Mission Editor
I think I may have figured it out (only tested once). Before, the units would continue along the route unless you added an advanced waypoint action “disperse under fire”. Now, they seem to disperse even without the action selected. It is tricky an not intuitive, but what you need to do is add the action “disperse under fire” (even though they already do this now by default). Next, look in the details of that action and there is a checkbox to disable it. So yes, you need to add an action and disable it at the same time. If you had a mission where units would continue along the route and not disperse under fire, I suggest you check out your mission again since something seems to have changed in one of the more recent DCS updates. Cheers guys. -
Please fix - Units disperse under fire when told not to
GTFreeFlyer posted a topic in Mission Editor
I have enemy columns that should continue moving if one of the units is hit. This worked just fine for a long time, but something got tweaked in one of the last few updates that came through and now the columns just stop and disperse as soon as they take fire. I've checked the settings in the editor and I do not have the "disperse under fire" option selected for them. What to do? -

[REPORTED]Is the GBU-38 JDAM still Borked ?
GTFreeFlyer replied to GAJ52's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I’ve dropped several 38’s lately without issues. -
In some missions, you may want to prevent others from carrying ordnance, perhaps for free-flights, training or formation flights. This simple script will make the airplane explode if the player decides to take off after bribing the ground crew to load up their aircraft. You can set how often you want to scan each aircraft for ordnance and how high they must be. If you really want to annoy those who can't follow your rules, you might as well let them get airborne for a little while before they seem to randomly explode. A message will be displayed on their screen letting them know what has happened. Open it up in Notepad++, VS Code, or other appropriate LUA editor and it is pretty self explanatory from there. Cheers! Ordnance Check V1.0.lua

There was a simple oversight in my previous script I posted. I edited the post above and reattached the now-working script. Apologies.... and enjoy! And sorry for the double post in the forum. I created a new thread for that script so it may be easier to find for others.
