    we have no idea. the Combat Panel was the first of its generation , the PTO is the only one to have a refresh so far, both the PTO and Combat Panel launched at the same time.

    if you are using the latest nvidia app you can get it from that or use intel present mon , not sure if it is in the ctrl pause list or not

    look at the frame time latency at 72hz you will need to produce a frame time of 1000/72 = 13.89, if you were producing frame time of 12ms that would give you 864 out of a potential 1000 giving you 136ms "extra" or about 13%

    I have been having difficulty with getting the data link to work, so I generated a number of simple test missions and tracks which would take some of my questionable start-up behaviours out of the loop: 1) -1 and -2 members of the same flight, both hot start on the ground with an AWACS on the data net, -2 does not populate on the HSD from the DL, but the AWACS does 2) same as above but the -1 -2 are airborne, both -2 and AWACS populate from the DL 3) -1 and -2 are members of different flights -2 starts airborne , AWACS and -2 both populate the HSD from the DL 4) as above but -2 starts on the ground, AWACS populates the HSD from the DL straight away, -2 only populates the HSD from the DL after wheels up. My conclusion is that I should not expect DL to populate on the ground, but only in the air? Is this behaviour correct?     Neither fix seems to work for me the only way i seem to get any DL with my flight is to wait until WP 1 and then lead seems to come on but that's it. I also Noted that on NET STATUS GPS Time was set to OFF by default, i dont know if that has any bearing but the reason i mention it was @Bogedope used it for his fix toggling it back and forth but in his video the default is ON ?

    yep same, i have also tried playing with the default.lua's in the DCS\Config\Input\aircrafts directories and it doesn't seem to be there either ?

    where are the default axis and button settings for a joystick squirreled away in DCS ? I would like to set a specific joystick device to always be "empty" ?

    I don't believe you can create a custom snap view in VR. How are you currently pressing buttons in VR. I use a combination of tools, mapping the mouse buttons to HOTAS, a Trackball mouse for GUI work, Additional HOTAS controls and of course Voice Attack/VIACOM.

    its difficult to say if this is "correct behaviour", there is no data, but i have similar challenges, when i lose track its largely because i lose attention ... does the same happen if you change to e dot setting? what are your other settings? are you on display or VR which headset, what GPU, what settings in game etc... a track ?

    keep your eyes on him as he passes you... predict his track based on his current trajectory, and don't stop your pull until you have re-acquired them visually other than that if you are running DLSS or DLAA try turning that off/down

    yeah I dont let ASUS software with GUI near my PC ... I love their hardware .. their software (shudder) . I would just stop the updaters via task manager startup and leave them off

    for the services try this ... its scriptable NET START / STOP / PAUSE / CONTINUE - Windows CMD - SS64.com that will work for most of them, for defender that's more complex and i wouldn't recommend it if you have already excluded DCS folders but try How to Disable Windows Defender in a Single-click without Reboot » Winhelponline there is a command line option there (you need some of NIRSOFT stuff to make it work)... I mean I would disable and google update check and do them manually anyway, but, i suspect apart from those it will make very little difference in terms of perf as they should be idled and on the pagefile if not using them

    You are making a huge assumption that ED knows exactly when it will be ready… that’s not me having a dig at ED, but sometimes complex things aren’t as straightforward as let’s dump 50000 man hours and we will be finished. ED are in a hugely difficult position on communication on this sort of thing, too much information and they will be accused of over hyping and under delivering, get it wrong and you actually upset more people , especially when something goes wrong and you have to move the ship date right… In honesty I would say nothing until I was ready to release the product.
