  1. Removing the Stingers LSO mod fixed the issue for me. The "Active ICLS" option wasn't working until I removed the mod.
  2. Is there supposed to be an "Activate ICLS" option in here?
  3. Didn't get fixed on my end. Max speed for the carrier around 22 knots, no wind. Any faster than that and the Hornet is still skating.
  4. Awesome! Thanks a lot for the help guys. By the way Jack, I am loving your skins! Simply amazing work.

I keep seeing this skin: https://imgur.com/LatPirO I've searched for it but I can't seem to find it. Does anyone have any info on this one? Thanks
  6. Regarding the OP, I know exactly what you are talking about. Always a minimal and slightly increasing nose down or nose up. Try not touching the trim hat at all after takeoff. I mean not at all. Its difficult not to trim as it is an almost instinctual task, but just try. I may be wrong but after a few laps around the boat without a touch of the trim hat I have found the Hornet will maintain 1G much better. As soon as I touch the trim hat I start to get that slow gradual sink or climb and it refuses to hold the 1G as well as it previously did. I have also found that by not trimming in flight at all, the nose down pitching moment upon flap deployment is greatly reduced. Worth a shot I suppose.
  7. I just started having this exact issue myself. Almost an identical setup. Did you find a solution?
  8. After the most recent update that brought us the Hornet, my FPS have all of the sudden become locked at 50. I have been running my main g-sync monitor with two 800x600 MFDs for months now with no issues. Tested in both the A-10 and Harrier as that is what I have been flying lately and I have had no issues until now. Because of the exported MFDs I have to run DCS without fullscreen but I normally average 80-90 fps. FPS are capped at 180 in the graphics.lua Vsync is OFF in game and ON in Nvidia control panel. I have cycled these as well after this issue arose and it doesn't affect the locked frames. Any ideas? Thanks
  9. Not sure if this is the mod being referenced earlier but it is a good one nonetheless. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=197149
  10. I believe he is talking about the LHA mod. They now have the same spawn issue that was reported a while back with the Tarawa. I had to remove the mod and go back to using the Tarawa. I agree with uscstaylor. Lately it seems like we are just waiting and waiting for updates only to find ourselves moving one step forward and two steps back. Then waiting again. Its getting a bit old for sure. You do great work though Taylor. I know its getting frustrating man but we all appreciate it.
  11. Does anybody think we will ever see a fix for the CCRP steering cue? It’s been a known bug for a while and it’s kind of an integral part of the bomb delivery system.
  12. Any update from ED on the progress regarding the IR pointer/TGP marker with DS on? I hope it hasn’t been forgotten or given up on. It’s kind of integral for dynamic CAS at night.

  14. I mean no disrespect, but I feel this is part of the reason that frustration is often expressed with regards to Open Alpha, Open Beta, etc. Please allow me to explain: When NTTR was released the night lighting was almost non existent. The runways, taxiways, and cities were only visible within a mile or two of the aircraft. I never posted anything about it because many other individuals identified these issues and reported them. Those people were quickly and sometimes condescendingly told to “Chill out. It’s an Alpha” or “If you don’t like testing new products, you should just wait for the release version”. DCS 2.5 suffered significant delays, but finally it arrived in Open Beta form. The night lighting issue was not fixed. Now DCS 2.5 is nearing its official release and the same lighting issues still exist. The only difference is that now, the problem is being played off as a compromise that cannot be fully addressed. Just tweaked. This is frustrating. What’s even more frustrating is the feeling that myself (and apparently others) need to post screenshots and give in depth descriptions to try and convince ED that this terribly obvious issue has not been fixed. I truly hope that we are not even remotely close to talking about “a balance”. If there isn’t serious improvement to the night environment, I feel that DCS will have become a “day VMC only” simulator. This would be a shame. After all of the excellent work ED has done to create the most realistic modern battlefield simulator and yet the night flying experience remains anything but realistic.
  15. Unfortunately I think you’re right. The fact that it has been this way for such a long time without being seriously improved upon really has me concerned. Hopefully we are both wrong but I’m growing increasingly skeptical. Did they at least get the IR pointer/TGP marker issue sorted out yet?
  16. I am really enjoying carrier ops with the Harrier and I love the pitching and rolling deck of the Tarawa in Normandy when the wind is up. The downside is that I am seeing the aircraft on the deck sliding laterally side to side when it rolls. I know this has been an issue in the past but is anyone else still seeing the same thing? If so, does anybody have any info on when/if this is going to get fixed? I truly hope we don't have to wait for ED's advanced carrier ops.
  17. Reference post #10. Fixed this issue for me. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=187982&highlight=TAD
  18. Nice work towsim! Thanks for doing this. I am able to use the HUD again!
  19. That makes two of us. I originally thought that the placeholder sounds heard in game were being utilized intentionally as a temporary work around. In spite of the fact that the desired sound files are present , I figured that they may have their reasons for not tapping into them yet. But apparently it's a bug? A very clever bug at that. Either way, in my opinion, it is certainly an item that deserves a high degree of priority.
  20. I second this sir! The work you do is outstanding! Now I'm just waiting for you to have your way with the Sabre:) P.S Just out of curiosity, what particular terrain mod are you using in your videos?
  21. I was wondering the same. I truly enjoy flying the bird and I'm glad they got it out to us when they said they would. But I agree that without those awesome sounds, something just ain't right. I'm hoping for a hotfix as well.
