I am currently selling an Oculus CV with touch controllers, and a Thrustmaster TFRP rudder pedals. I was thinking of $150 for the Oculus and $60 for the pedals. I would then add the actual cost of shipping. I am located in the USA. Shipping UPS ground appears to be around $30 to the USA.

Especially in VR, money well spent.

As a side note, what pedals Are you using with your Crosswinds? Sent from my moto g(7) using Tapatalk -
Thanks for the pictures. I will probably end up doing something like dobroDude's chair. I haven't done much with fabric. Might be time to learn a new skill. I am tempted to try and cut up a nice chair, I might need to find something lousy to experiment on first.

I am currently looking for a replacement chair. I currently use an old kitchen chair, that I notched for a center mounted stick. I am looking for something more comfortable, but also something I can modify for a center mounted stick. I use a Wheel Stand Pro with VR, so I am not in the market for a whole cockpit solution. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

PointCTRL - Finger Mounted VR Controller
PhoenixRising replied to MilesD's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Miles answered that question for me back in December. I don't know if this is the long term solution, but it did work, and help me get this amazing peripheral up and running. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4149077&postcount=2049- 3421 replies

I agree. I love my PointCtrl.

That would be nice as an option. I often end up closing my eyes as well.

Mission 2: Convoy not moving from Kobuleti

You can edit your logbook.lua to manually advance a campaign if you have a game breaking bug and want to try the next mission. -
PointCTRL - Finger Mounted VR Controller
PhoenixRising replied to MilesD's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Miles- I was able to change the port number, after uninstalling an old Arduino device and your application now sees it. I have family commitments the next few days, which means I probably won't have time for DCS the next few days, but I am looking forward to getting it working!- 3421 replies

PointCTRL - Finger Mounted VR Controller
PhoenixRising replied to MilesD's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hey Miles- I was trying to set up my PointCtrl with the new GUI, and if I reset the HMS, Com 10 is the port that disappears in the device manager. However, there is no choice for any com port over 9 in the drop-down box. I know it is the holidays, I don't expect a response or fix quickly, just letting you know what I was having trouble with. Thanks for all of your hard work! Sent from my Nokia 6.1 using Tapatalk- 3421 replies

Mission 1 Problem
PhoenixRising replied to PhoenixRising's topic in WORLDS APART Spring 2025 Campaign
I don't know what changed, but the third time it worked for me. We had the close call with the FA-18 before we exploded , so I don't think that was it. Thanks for your willingness to help. Sent from my Nokia 6.1 using Tapatalk -
This has happened to me twice. After we depart the Vinson, right we we get the radio call that we are leaving their airspace, both my helicopter and Wolfpack 1 just explode in mid-flight. The first time I thought there was some faulty air to air logic and we had collided (even though I wasn't that close), the second time I was no where near a collision. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks!

I realize you use your monitor for things other than DCS, and you probably don't have an unlimited budget, but have you considered VR? Flying helicopters is awesome with the situational awareness VR provides. Sent from my Nokia 6.1 using Tapatalk

Real life helicopter pedal behavior
PhoenixRising posted a topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I am looking to remove the center detent on my CH Pro Pedals. I have seen some people add stronger return to center springs. That got me thinking, I mostly fly helicopters. In flight, will the anti-torque pedals return to center like a aircraft with a traditional rudder, or if you take your feet off, do they tend to stay in the same place. Thanks! -

Hall Effect Sensors for DIY Collective
PhoenixRising replied to PhoenixRising's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
It still needs paint, which will require disassembly, so I haven't gotten to that yet. I also am working on a cover for the PCBs. Much of the non-electronic material I had leftover from other, unrelated, projects. -
Hall Effect Sensors for DIY Collective
PhoenixRising replied to PhoenixRising's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I am finally almost done with my collective. The TLE5010 sensors work great. I cannot believe the difference between using a collective and my Warthog throttle. My helicopter ability improved significantly overnight. Thanks for everyone who helped! If it weren't for the creative people on this form, it would have never occurred to me to even attempt such a thing, much less believe I could actually create something that works. -
Which direciton? VR or TrackIR+HOTAS for A10C?
PhoenixRising replied to wagdog's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I have to opposite problem as flameoutme. Buying a Rift has cost me money. I stopped flight simming years ago when I became a pilot IRL, and a flat screen just wasn't the same thing. Then I got a Rift and stumbled upon DCS. Now, instead of being satisfied buying two year old games on Steam cheap during sales, I have spent WAY too much money on peripherals and DCS modules, which even on sale, aren't cheap. VR was that much of a game changer for me. -
UH-1 Starter Switch

Thanks. That was helpful. Sent from my Nokia 6.1 using Tapatalk -
I am building a Huey inspired collective. I see in the manual that the starter switch is located on the collective somewhere, but I cannot find its actual physical location. Is it mounted to the back of the control box? Thanks! Sent from my Nokia 6.1 using Tapatalk
