  1. Hello- Lately, when I am playing it Vaicom will work great for a while, but it will stop recognizing my commands. After a little investigation, what I realized it happening is the PTT switches are defaulting to listening, so when I hit the transmit button, it stops listening, and when I let go, the mic is hot. What is really strange, is when I start a mission, it works as expected. Has anyone else experienced this?
  2. I will have to try that out. Thanks. Sent from my moto g stylus 5G using Tapatalk
  3. I have enjoyed DCE campaigns. Does anyone have a good way to create a kneeboard page from the waypoints and waypoint arrival times? I feel like I am often going to the briefing screen to find the waypoint times. Sent from my moto g stylus 5G using Tapatalk
  4. I don't know how many people are in which camp, but I am the same way. I used to fly the A-10 a ton, but after flying the F-18 with a pilot body, it drives me nuts to fly the A-10 now. I own the F-14, but am waiting for a pilot body to really dig in. I also fly in VR. In the F-18, the only time I regularly have to turn off the body is on startup. Same with the Harrier. 5. I believe that it prevents "ghosting" or unwanted button presses when used in a matrix. It serves a different function than the pull-up resistors. Sent from my moto g stylus 5G using Tapatalk
  6. There is a long thread where MilesD gives occasional updates on shipping status. https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink/topic?url=/topic/186758-new-vr-pointing-device/&share_tid=186758&share_fid=74365&share_type=t&link_source=app Sent from my moto g stylus 5G using Tapatalk
  7. I found some toggle switches at Ali that are 12mm, instead of 6mm, but are small on the bottom. I haven't tried them because I haven't had a new project recently. They are also more expensive. https://m.aliexpress.com/item/33004812439.html?spm=a2g0n.shopcart-amp.item.33004812439& Sent from my moto g stylus 5G using Tapatalk
  8. I also just tried out the MI-8 trial. I had this same question yesterday, and there is indeed a stock English cockpit in the special menu. Sent from my moto g stylus 5G using Tapatalk
  9. That looks cool. What The you using as sensors? Sent from my moto g stylus 5G using Tapatalk
  10. My suggestion would be ugly and require two USB inputs. The above idea is a better idea if you can scavenge the required parts.
  11. A Bondar board is literal plug and play. There is no soldering required. One example: http://www.leobodnar.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=94&products_id=205. You just attach your wires and plug it in. It then looks like a game controller to Windows. There is also Mmjoy, which is custom Arduino firmware. It also takes the coding out of making a game controller. You just have to set what pin is what in a graphical user interface. Sent from my moto g stylus 5G using Tapatalk
  12. One option would be to wire all of your switches to an Arudino or Bodnar board, while using the Thrustmaster gimbal. It would be a little ugly, and you would have two USB cables to plug in, but it would theoretically work. Sent from my moto g stylus 5G using Tapatalk
  13. This article claims 25 of the 60 subs sink by the US Navy were from the Consolidated PBYs and 13 were sunk by Consolidated B-24s making 2/3 killed by Consolidated Aircraft. https://www.navytimes.com/news/your-navy/2019/08/31/cat-tales-the-story-of-world-war-iis-pby-flying-boat/ Sent from my moto g stylus 5G using Tapatalk
  14. Does anybody else feel like the default VR viewpoint is too far back? When I look down the seat seems to be in the wrong spot, and it feels like I would have to lean way to far forward to reach the throttles. If I lean back, and reset the view it seems to more natural. 15. I am with the OP and sirrah. I hate flying models without a body. I do have a shortcut for the occasional time I need to hit a button that is obscured. It feels like that is usually on startup. I love the A-10 and the F-14, but I hate flying them without a body.
  16. I use Voicattack to run Vaicom, so I just mapped a button press to spacebar. Sent from my moto g stylus 5G using Tapatalk
  17. You are prepaying for when it will be released. You will not have access to the aircraft until it is released in several weeks. Sent from my moto g stylus 5G using Tapatalk
  18. I used to do the Oculus controllers in the lap thing. It worked fine. I liked it better than trying to use a mouse. I did get a PointCtrl though, and that improved things immensely.
  19. Does it still day Window Out of Focus? If it does, alt-tab to get back and your mouse will work again.
  20. PointCtrl is awesome. I got lucky and got mine early. Wouldn't want to fly without it.
  21. In the box where you can select the grid, at the top and bottom it shows that if you scroll over to KM or LM, you will now select 38T automatically. This was taken on the ground in Batumi, which is in 37T.
  22. Just tried it out. CASE III worked great. Thanks! I love the new kneeboard extension for this and the 9 line page especially.
  23. I noticed today there was a compatability update for 2.7, however I still got no information on a case 3 recovery on the kneeboard. Has anybody else seen this working?
  24. I noticed in the UI layer yesterday as well. But I also thought I saw it in the UH1 key-bindings. I assumed it was just in both places now, and you could assign it by aircraft or globally. Is that not the case? I agree, it would be nice to do it on a per aircraft basis, as I use a collective, so I bind it to my stick in helicopters, but I don't want to have to use that keybind for fix wings.
  25. I got a new computer, and for the most part the graphics on my Rift S look amazing compared to what I could drive with my 1070. However, I still can't discern the ball from 3/4 of a mile. I could be remembering wrong, but I thought I could on the Stennis. It feels like it is a lighting issue, not a clarity issue. Has anybody found any settings or mod that changes the lighting to make it easier to see in VR? All I see is a giant blob of light when turning final. Thanks!
