  1. You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. I will explain ... When you're playing person vs person , it's always competitive. It doesn't matter if it's called a shooter or a sim. So when you actively select a multiplayer online 'air quake' server, you are CHOOSING to play competitively. That is the sole reason that particular server exists. You don't go in a server like that and then say: "ah screw rules, i can behave like a worm because it's DCS and not csgo" . So i really have to disagree with your reasoning. People like different aspects of games and activities. Just because something is called a "sim" doesn't mean i'm not allowed to have fun playing against other people. Turn it like you want, but the behaviour of quickly changing slots after defeat, to deny the other person the win is a **** move. If you honestly can't see that then i don't know what to tell you. But i think you do see it, but are just a little triggered by the letters 'csgo' in my name.
  2. Yeah they don't really care about multiplayer, which is kind of understandable considering the low numbers . But maybe those online numbers would be higher if the experience was better. Not sure if DCS could ever 'take off' like other multiplayer games, but it would be awesome if it would. It's not that the general public hates flying games so .... Why not right ?
  3. I honestly thought that in every multiplayer game synchronisation/lag compensation MUST be present. It's been in every game since the beginning of multiplayer (20 years ago) I understand a shooter is 'different' in a sense but the same principle applies no ? Also making this all client based, isn't that making things way too easy for cheats ? There is no cheat problem in DCS thank god, so i don't think that should be the reason for server based hit calculation but some synchronisation seems very needed. Especially with the high pings in DCS.
  4. brb writing 20 million haxx'z. -_-
  5. Wait wait hold up ... Not the server !??!@#!@#
  6. If you're in a multiplayer server, and watching all missiles with F6 , you're in for a laugh. I'm amazed ANY of 'm hit to be honest.
  7. Why can't my tacview open any tacview.ZIP files ? Only the .txt files work
  8. It's not about the scoreboard so much as it is about closing off the fight that you put time and effort in. Not to mention it's extremely spineless to quickly disconnect right before you die . At least i think so, you apparently think this is perfectly acceptable behaviour.
  9. Yeah and it's a problem in multiplayer. (F15 really doesn't have this by the way, one in a hundred times at most)
  10. Well they tend to give kill message immiately at impact. At least the F16 does. The mig21 i don't really see in online pvp.
  11. Hmm... It only happens with F14 though. When you do get a kill message , it takes a very long time.
  12. Ok, another thing. The damage model. F14 people are now quickly changing slots after getting hit. I mean, if both your wings are broken off, why does it not give the 'destroy' immidiately ? They have ample time to casually hit escape > choose slot
  13. Yes, probably not realistic but they are now 'disguised' as amraams. It's problematic on busy multiplayer. Could this be done with a mod or something ?
  14. Amraams lately are uhm ... weird. Extremely unreliable. Not so long ago i'd have a 50% hit rate on busy multiplayer servers. Lately it's more like 10%
  15. I don't think it is , especially lately. For a while the phoenix was even more chaff resistant than the 120, even the old analog phoenixes.
  16. Ok fair is fair. When i lowered my monitor problem was over. I guess tracking of reverb G2 is just shite.
  17. Sigh ... what's it with the incredible weirdness this time ... good lord. Tracking is atrocious, it's as if i'm super drunk . Only in DCS.
  18. Can't you guys read ? I mean no offense but he's having problems since very recently. All you guys are telling him is to 'drop this setting to 0" , and "turn everything off" . I mean, look at his system. He can barely turn anything lower because he's already running ridiculously low settings for such a system. Yet, you're telling him to turn more to off. About Vram, i have a 3090 , it makes no difference except maybe 1 or 2 ms in frametime reduction. This game can't deal with newer hardware, i've said it many times. CPU isn't utilized, and GPU also isn't utilized.
  19. Game engine is just too old i guess, you will never get half decent performance in VR and multiplayer . Unless ones expectations of graphics and fps are really low , better to stick with 2d singleplayer. Unfortunately singleplayer is not my cup of tea.
  20. In VR ? Very VERY much doubt it. What's most annoying is that framerate is struggling (and even when it's not, there's still stuttering) , but then you look at resources used and GPU sits @ 67% usage, and cpu sits at 22% usage.
  21. Ok so i figured somethin out at least. You can not turn it on in Steam VR, but you can turn it on in WMR. And it works, kind of. Just setting it to 'auto' in the WMR menu (which you can for some reason only access with those stupid controllers) . It IS smoother, will be using it from now on for sure.
  22. Yes you did it right. You must choose : See anything in the cockpit while outside looks terrible, or have a pitch black cockpit while outside looks normal. Just DCS things.
  23. I don't even know where to start ... :( Ok, motion smoothing set in steam VR does nothing in DCS. Let's start there, why can't i turn on motion smoothing
