  1. This also happens very regularly if lock is NOT broken. Honestly i don't even mind it that much if it happens when the lock IS broken. But to have a perfect lock on a hot target aspect the whole way, and then seeing in tacview your missile just went stupid right off the rail is a bit sad
  2. Don't think it does and even if it did, it IS an 'Advanced' missile
  3. Maybe it only gives an RWR warning when fired in STT then. Thanks for the explanation dude.
  4. Hey man don't shoot the messenger. Only the phoenix seems to still try to get me when i'm refueling, i've never ever gotten an RWR warning from any other missile while i was refueling on the runway. Only the phoenix keeps re-acquiring me like a crazy stalker. Sometimes even 10 seconds after it seemed ditched. Everytime i'm like "what ?! Are you serious !?! LOL" . It's funny to witness. And only an active phoenix shoots past me, and tries to get me when it's on my 10'o clock IN FRONT of me Not trying to pick a fight but in my humble experience the seeker seems a bit weird to say the least.
  5. So as it stands now, the F14 RWR immidiately gives a launch warning when a missile is fired in TWS by another plane ?
  6. In theory, because of the greater distance when the missile goes active earlier it should have a harder time finding it's target. The phoenix however is so aggressively tracking, (it will just keep finding you again and again, no matter how many times you ditch it) that in reality it makes no difference. It is like it has a 360 degree sphere search pattern with unlimited range once it goes active . I'm even getting phoenix RWR warnings when i'm refueling on the runway.
  7. I'm pretty sure that this: "The selected position of this switch might negatively affect target tracking and engagement if set incorrectly" is NOT modeled , at all. Probably only changes when the targets gets the RWR warning.
  8. In multiplayer everything is borked. Many times, (ESPECIALLY) if enemy is close you can not rely on datalink or even a 'filled box'. The actual radar return (starts with a tiny white dot) is what you need to lock on to. The actual radar return and the filled datalink contact are sometimes pretty far apart.
  9. @dundun92Since when and how long has this bug. been present ?
  10. Apparently my issue was that i did not understand the modes and submodes. Thanks for your explanation. One thing i noticed though, in dogfight mode there is no inventory button available like there is in A-A master mode. Is this correct ? So : 1) I switch to dogfight mode. There's my first "SMS" page where i can select missile and 'cool' and 'warm' and whatnot. Once i opt out of that screen there is no way to get back to it while i'm in dofgight mode.
  11. Allright i will try to contact them. Thanks.
  12. No no, apologies for MY ignorance . I just don't get these menu's i guess. Ok i'll keep an eye on this topic to see what you mean in your case Lthumb_up:
  13. I think if you switch to dogfight mode , while being out of missiles it automatically goes to gun mode (EEGS). So maybe you can't even get out of it if you're out of missiles. However, if you are stuck in EEGS while you still have missiles, the "SMS" and even more so the "INV" buttons are your way out lol
  14. Wait, i figured it out. Ok i'll try to make a video of how to fix it. Man i must be really stupid because the menu's and submenu's in the F16 are SO UN-intuitive (to me at least)
  15. Well i know how to make it happen now ... The "SMS" buttons are not functioning properly. When you start a mission in a hot plane , and you go to either dogfight or missile mode, your right MFD will show an "SMS" page. On that page in the top left if you press "AAM" you go to "GUN" mode, and then you will have the 'EEGS' displayed on your HUD. You can switch back and forth with that "AAM"/"GUN" button but : On the "SMS" page i previously mentioned, there are two 'SMS" buttons around that right MFD. If you press the top right one you get into some main menu and you can never return to the first SMS page you were.
  16. I also tried to reproduce the stuck in EEGS mode. But i can't even figure out how to get IN that mode . I think it's a gun only mode or something and i feel it happens when i jettision my tanks in some way. Meh i'll try some more , if i figure it out i'll report back
  17. When is this available in the EU again ? @UIV
  18. If so , i can't enable it. Also i'm sometimes seriously stuck in EEGS mode. It will say EEGS at the bottom left of the HUD and i just can't seem to get out of it ?
  19. How on earth did you get that from my QUESTION ?? I was simply asking if anything changed regarding the missile going active on it's own And no, people were asking for the missile to go active automatically WITHOUT receiving a signal from the aircraft's radar.
  20. Yep you'd need to put quite some throttle to get out of that, might not be so good for the gear. The plane pitching forward also doesn't help at all @Ironhand "flankertraining" right ? , best quality tutorials from waayyyy back
  21. The wheels of the A-10 are not driven like they are on a ground vehicle. So if one wheel even slightly gets buried it's game over because you're just pushing it further in the mud, where as driven wheels can dig themselves out easier. I hope that makes sense somewhat, if not someone needs to translate my crappy english into something more eloquent
  22. Do you desperately need a set of rudder-pedals for flying heli's or is it do-able with a twist stick ?
  23. I can't for the life of me find the instance when it happened, it wasn't super recent so it's just too much to search through and i can't be arsed I looked at it in tacview before and was sure i Alt-F10'd it (shadowplay) but it's not in my gallery because instant replay wasn't on There was a pretty big pause between the 14 nails disappearing and the phoenix going active which led me to believe i was not fire upon. It had to be lag then or something as from what i understand from the responses above, the missile does not go active on it's own , just like the amraam doesn't , and there should be no delay from when the missile sees me and i get RWR warning. .
