Same here regarding the carrier- I can spawn on a carrier just fine, but the ground is a no-go. Seems I can spawn into the cockpit on the initial server join, but then it's constant falling. I know it's OB so I'm trying not to get too worked up, but ugh, this absolutely sucks.

I was just playing at NTTR mission with some guys. I was able to takeoff and fly a mission. Upon RTB for rearm, I tried to land and fell thru the ground. This was in a Hornet. I chose other roles: F-14, AV-8B, and A-10C, all with the same result, and then the game crashed. I reconnected to the server and lasted about 30 seconds into the initial rearm at parking, and then fell thru the ground again. Hornet again that time.

Disregard. Found everything I needed. For now.... lol

Hoping someone here can post a screenshot with the F-18C template pointing me to the canopy bars where the canopy meets the windscreen. Can't find it! Working on my first livery and getting close to being done, but can't find that part for the life of me. :huh: AHH! Okay, after a day and a half I found the FRONT piece (windscreen) a couple mins after posting this, lol. Figures! Still looking for the canopy piece, however. ETA: Found the canopy piece. Had the idea to open another livery (VMFA-323 Hi Viz) that had the piece painted, and found it that way.

It happens to me every time I try to take a Hornet, Tomcat, or Harrier from the ground. Carrier ops seem okay, but I fall thru the ground either instantly upon spawning, or as soon as I try to taxi. Haven't tried other planes.

The engine sound is definitely off. I'm sitting in the plane, canopy open, as I type this. Way different. Sounds cheap, and no distinct Hog "whine" from the engines.

Own the shame, dude. It was hilarious! I got wiped out and loved it. Next time you'll shame me, lol. :D

I just bought the Tomcat, so I fired up a BuDs server and let everyone know that I'll be in there trying to figure out WTH I'm doing. One of our other regulars hopped on and decided he wanted to work on the Harrier. We were both doing "our own thing" and were bouncing questions off each other. Then, we met up, and tried to refuel. Of course, I couldn't figure out how to tune the radio to the tanker, so there's that. But anyway, we would do our own thing, but we would also hang out and fly off each other's wing. I trapped, and he landed the Harrier on the Stennis, lol. Then another guy jumped on, and he loves his Huey, so the three of us quit that and flew Hueys on a dedicated server in a CTLD mission. BuDs is that exact place to meet-up for chit chat, hilarity, and seriousness. It's whatever you want it to be. No one gets offended if someone has to jump off really fast. We ALL "get" it, and that's the beauty off it. The closest thing to a "requirement" we have right now is our Air-to-Air event. Everyone that wanted to participate signed up for a slot, and then we just work times to fight out based on everyone's schedule. It's taking weeks, but that's the no-pressure, no-commitment mentality of the group. Here's this morning's fresh fail from GT and I, lol.

I agree- I'm located in the Central US, but I'm usually on in the mornings (when I'm home), so that'd probably put me in a better position to fly with some of our UK brothers (and sisters, if we have any?)!

Hey gang, I need me some rudder pedals, bad. I don't have any right now. The MFG Crosswinds are what I've had my eye on. Right now I only have the Hog and Hornet, but I plan on picking up the Tomcat, Harrier, and Huey, so I want a good pair of pedals. I've heard nothing but good about the Crosswinds. My question is: do I need to get the add-ons? Ex: Cam centering and width adjustments. I'm a little confused by the Cams and whether it's a must-have. Thanks!

Yeah, like GT said, several of us are usually on in the mornings here in the USA. I'm one of them! I tend to wake up early and let my wife sleep. Then, she and the kids do their school (we homeschool), so I often have several hours to goof off!

Such an awesome difference coming from the old Logitec Extreme 3D Pro. I ran all the graphic settings on High and it ran really smooth. What's the best program you guys use to monitor FPS, Temps, etc. while playing?
