Great bit of info, thank you! I have some statics, but they are at the stern of the ship and don't interfere with spawn points. I'll delete them to see if that fixes it. If not, I have noticed some AI F18 CAP flights land on the carrier and park in those spawn areas, however, during my post-multiplayer testing, I got the message after only a couple mins (just spawn, eject, spawn, eject...), so the AI flights wouldn't have even made it there. Still something to try. Thanks again!

Wondering if someone can help me find the problem to this message. I'm running MIST, CTLD, CSAR, and GCICAP scripts. Seems after I go through one or two planes that if I try to select those same slots again that's when I get that message. I'm wondering if it's a setting in the CSAR script? I thought maybe it was something with Slot Blocking, but not sure (changed to False). Not sure which setting/value it would be. I've already looked, but I probably just don't know what I need to change.

Can't comment on the use of a Humvee, but is it going to be a stationary vehicle? If so, you could create a beaconZone.

Unless I'm really missing something in your post, it's pretty simple! However, since you're talking about editing Lua, I'm guessing you are asking something else and my reply isn't what you're looking for, lol. But, maybe it'll help others someday when searching... :) 1. Select the static object you want to place, for example, the F/A-18C Lot 20. 2. Place it on the carrier. 3. Select "Offset Fixation." (No idea what this does, but I've seen everyone do it, lol.) 4. Under "Link Unit," select the Stennis's Unit Name. (I always make the Unit Name "Stennis" for the carrier, but you can use whatever you want, or leave the default.) 5. The F-18's wings should now be visibly folded and ready for deck storage wherever you want. 6. Note: many planes/helicopters will show folded wings/rotors, however, I've found the F-14B does not. Do the same steps as above and, even though wings are spread, in-game they will be folded. Might take some adjusting to get the plane to sit just right.

Last night several of us fired off multiple -120s and only got one or two hits. ETA: I should say tho that maybe it's due to the type of AI, server, or who knows what... they were AI Su-27s. Earlier today I was testing a mission of mine with six launched Silkworm missiles and got 5 -120 kills (1 9X). So they worked in that instance.

Does anyone know if it's possible to change the distance troops spawn from the helicopter? What I mean is when you load, for example, an Anti-Air group, fly to your destination and choose "Unload/Extract..." is it possible to adjust how far away from the chopper they magically appear at? Just thinking it would be nice to be able to deploy these guys on cargo ships, or oil platforms, but they always spawn into the water.

That's a great idea. Right now I've just been using random colors with lines, dots, numbers, etc to narrow it down. It's frustrating when you do all that and STILL can't find something. FWIW, I had all of those parts that you boxed for me (thank you!) painted, and I still have a few missing bits. I'll go back and use that method of yours to find them. I'm nowhere near the skill of you guys, but thought I would share my latest one with you- the one you've been helping with. Thanks again!

It honestly wouldn't surprise me that it's really the A-4 and that I just missed all the files when I was removing them. I'm not the most computer savvy, lol! :D

Awesome, thank you! This had to just be dumb luck, or how I had the layers at one point, because I painted those specific parts with a stand-out color and never saw the paint. It was so frustrating because I found the edge where the missile sits, but couldn't find the rest of the rails! I really appreciate it. I'm making a set of liveries for our "BuDs" group (BusyDads, check Multiplayer section). The first few came out well I think, but I still need to learn where all of the extra little "bits" are. I've read thru the pinned "F-18 Template Questions" thread at the top of this section a couple of times, and it was a big help, but it didn't answer all of the questions.

Bump again. Wingtip AIM-9 rails?? Any help in locating? I've been marking all of the suspect parts with random colors, but so far I can't find them.

Solved? So here's an update: I deleted all of the A-4 stuff I could find* on both sides of the game. No joy. One of the guys in our group had the same problems; he fixed it by renaming his Saved Games folder and restarting the game, which let DCS build a new Saved Games folder to run on. I did that and was able to spawn in multiple land-based jets (Hornet, Hog, Cat, Harrier), taxi, takeoff, and land without any problems! So something got wonky in my Saved Games folder two updates ago. Anyway, I copied my HOTAS profiles from the old Saved Games and pasted them in the new one. Good to go! Need to add the liveries back. Maybe step-by-step I'll narrow it down. *When copying my HOTAS inputs, I noticed an A-4 folder was still in there. This was after the new directory built, so I don't know if deleting this would have worked. Amazing how bits of mods get placed in so many areas! I am a computer dummy though, lol.

Same here regarding the carrier- I can spawn on a carrier just fine, but the ground is a no-go. Seems I can spawn into the cockpit on the initial server join, but then it's constant falling. I know it's OB so I'm trying not to get too worked up, but ugh, this absolutely sucks.

I was just playing at NTTR mission with some guys. I was able to takeoff and fly a mission. Upon RTB for rearm, I tried to land and fell thru the ground. This was in a Hornet. I chose other roles: F-14, AV-8B, and A-10C, all with the same result, and then the game crashed. I reconnected to the server and lasted about 30 seconds into the initial rearm at parking, and then fell thru the ground again. Hornet again that time.

Hoping someone here can post a screenshot with the F-18C template pointing me to the canopy bars where the canopy meets the windscreen. Can't find it! Working on my first livery and getting close to being done, but can't find that part for the life of me. :huh: AHH! Okay, after a day and a half I found the FRONT piece (windscreen) a couple mins after posting this, lol. Figures! Still looking for the canopy piece, however. ETA: Found the canopy piece. Had the idea to open another livery (VMFA-323 Hi Viz) that had the piece painted, and found it that way.

It happens to me every time I try to take a Hornet, Tomcat, or Harrier from the ground. Carrier ops seem okay, but I fall thru the ground either instantly upon spawning, or as soon as I try to taxi. Haven't tried other planes.

The engine sound is definitely off. I'm sitting in the plane, canopy open, as I type this. Way different. Sounds cheap, and no distinct Hog "whine" from the engines.
