  1. There are no "broken" missiles on the Hornet. Some people report having issues with the radar, as seen here, e.g., but I can't reproduce that, the A2A-environment works absolutely fine for me.
  2. While I am fine with waiting for them all that time: think you guys can make a feature on why that took so long? I mean, a workaround would have been to just punch up the number to 60, even if the external model may have been off etc...
  3. You download them exactly *once*, unless you reinstall your entire game. Even if I was still on a 10 MBit line or whatever, a new module with, say 5 GB of volume wouldn't take more than 90 minutes. I mean, yeah, sure, whatever - doesn't affect me, but I'd see a request like this way down the bottom of the developer's timeline.
  4. That would effectively limit MP servers to one skin, or force them to have their clients download specific skins. In times like these, where SSDs are dirt cheap, there is literally no upside to forcing a limitation like this unto the user.
  5. Which equals "pretty sure that it's not happening" on my planet
  6. Also if I use that skin in a fresh mission with the same or different bort number, the bort number will not show up at all. Latest OB 2.5.6.61527, no mods (I also checked the quick start mission in ME and it shouldn't even spawn in that skin but the bare metal one)
  7. When I start up in the "Cold Start" Instant Action mission, that skin is working w/o issue for me
  8. I think by now we can be pretty sure that both of these things will not happen.
  9. Which won't be modeled in DCS, since it apparently has never been used operationally.
  10. No. It get's updated just as regular and will then be a 2.7.x
  11. Why use any cheats, then? I use only one "cheat", that is external views for the eyecandy. No english cockpits, no F10 map (unless I am playing JTAC in CA, but thats a more fitting scenario to begin with), no control assists, no autopilots unless present in the real plane, no auto start, no shortcuts. Why would I and rob myself of the actual game?
  12. I use cursor up to center, cursor down to change sensitivity and cursor right to pause
  13. In your thread specifically you find the info from Bignewy that we probably WONT get the NAVFLIR component. Which is what I heard as well at several points from the team but don't know off the top of my head where I will find that again. The Nite Hawk didn't have a NAVFLIR component, iirc.
  14. ATFLIR is the most capable one with better resolution, 3 separate FoV etc. - IRL the differences are pretty big, while ingame all our pods perform too good to begin with. Throwing the FLIR image on the HUD was through use of the NAVFLIR component on the ATFLIR mounting adapter, but afaik that was never used operationally, has been removed in fleet squadrons and will probably not me modeled ingame for us either.
  15. IIRC it is physically feasible and the wiring is there, but aerodynamically dangerous and thus not allowed. Plus it's pretty nonsensical.
  16. I think both fall nicely into the simulated timeframe, and if they feel like they can add the Nite Hawk at a later date, by all means I won't object.
  17. While true, I think it's feasible to say ours was a lucky legacy if 2005 is modeled, and a regular one in 2007 (Deliveries for C-F models was complete by 2k8)
  18. First deliveries of the ATFLIR were in 2002, full-rate production in Feb of 2005, deliveries complete in 2008. It is absolutely fitting to be modeled for our Hornet.
  19. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AN/ASQ-228_ATFLIR
  20. Well, the F-15 is not even close as realistic as the Jeff is modeled.
  21. How should the crew hand you the DTC when the canopy is closed? Magic? That's not silly, that's simply necessary.
  22. Both are VERY similar, but some stuff is just more logical and easy to use in the Hornet - there's less fiddling with UFC options and more happening on the DDIs, the DDI pages are usually somewhat more structured and easy to use in the Hornet as well. That said: the Harrier isn't complicated to begin with. It's just more refined in the Hornet, IMHO.
  23. Honestly I just host my head somewhat still. It doesn't even need to be perfectly still to be able to use mouse even for fiddly stuff.
  24. Searching for "Mav FOV" I get 5 results on the first page alone
