The MODE button is used to set the clock and time zone in the IFEI. Please refer to NATOPS page I-2-75

He certainly is! @Charly_Owl @dporter22 yes, both should show the same ID numbers. Basically: every flight wants the same GRP ID with each member having his individual OWN ID

Imagine, just for a second, that I have NO IDEA what all that means. Can you hand out a reader's digest on that?
-
That's the point: not following the well-established rules is actually not helping. A track file like that would be super small, so at this point not uploading one seems to be out of spite.

That is a Super Hornet, it has different racks. Single AIM-120 on LAU-115 attached to LAU-127 is correct for our legacy Hornet as per real life. More info here:

A Supercarrier version of the Stennis will arrive at a later date in the Supercarrier Early Access as well.

You did see the "need track replay" tag, right? As per:

You're probably one of three, and this is not an airport, you do not have to announce your departure, dear GA pilot. Lawyers... figures.

correct as is SEA Radar incredibly weak

That "cone" only applies to ground mapping -
Ah sure, my bad

Will we ever get the correct engine displays for the F-14B, finally?

correct as-is Weaker Radar
Shimmergloom667 replied to DCS FIGHTER PILOT's topic in Bugs and Problems
To the best of our knowledge, yes. -
fixed wrong launcher rails for Aim-9s and Aim-120's
Shimmergloom667 replied to berk.kp's topic in Bugs and Problems
No USMC Hornet of the timeframe modeled (ca. 2005) used an APG-79. If you don't have pictures or documentation of a ca. 2005 USN/USMC Hornet with 127 directly on the wing, then there's no basis to argue a ca. 2005 USN/USMC Hornet should be able to be such equipped. So, yeah - no proof (yeah, e.g. a picture), no party. Good stuff. -
fixed wrong launcher rails for Aim-9s and Aim-120's
Shimmergloom667 replied to berk.kp's topic in Bugs and Problems
You know that the burden of proof is on the person who states a claim about a certain thing being present, right? So you would have to deliver a proof about USN / USMC Hornets mounting LAU-127s directly on the wing, despite all available information showing it's mounted 115+127. We're waiting. -
correct as is Can't manually enter markpoints via data
Shimmergloom667 replied to mrprime's topic in Bugs and Problems
It absolutely never worked for mark points since their introduction, which is also correct as Tholozor said -
reported Selecting AUTO on HSI sets active waypoint to WP0
Shimmergloom667 replied to Hippo's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hey Bignewy! According to the NATOPS that should be different: "When auto sequential steering is coupled CPL SEQ #( ) (current sequence number: 1, 2, or 3 replaces the parenthesis) is displayed on the HUD and HSI display and a CPLD advisory appears on the DDI. The aircraft steers to intercept the desired course of the current WYPT/OAP in the sequence.", page VII-24-47 (I can send you a screenie if you like) WITHOUT CPL selected, it should indeed jump to first WP in the sequence. -
You can see it still, it is just VERY slight. You can only see it against dark ocean etc. right now.

That's probably intended and I think it looks awesome! Great job!

not planned or correct for version Single AIM 120 Hardpoints
Shimmergloom667 replied to Wobbly's topic in Wish List
I think it's awesome ED did that - not only does that single missile on the LAU-115/-127 combo look super cool, I'd rather see the one version they are commited to modeling be the most accurate and all others a bit off. Like a swiss Hornet, tough luck on that front, no big deal. -
Cyclic/Collective controls?

And its not only the Hornet, feels like they gave every sound in the game an overhaul pass, it's *so good*
