  1. Don't think it was ever a feature to begin with, and doubtful it's something ED would consider, it's not like they can be unloaded by the same vessel, unless you use triggers and spawns, which then defeats the point of vehicle carrying ships

Firstly there's more than ED's carriers out there, some don't have steam driven catapaults, there's also several aircraft that are prop/piston driven that are carrier based/operated, like the ones from the Cuesta brothers, so no, it's not a joke, it's a problem that's only started happening since the last update.
  3. I can concur, same issue, also never noticed the tail raise like that once hooked up before.
  4. I use the torps all the time I meant the Submarines themselves are more eye candy, especially modern versions that are supposed to be guided
  5. It's taken years for ED to have semi decent working torpedoes, and besides, even the current ones are dumb, line of site, and not guided, Anti Submarine warfare is still a good ways off, so all Submarines/Sub Surface vessels are eye candy only
  6. and it's not that great compared to what CH can make, it's a very basic model, I think the Mi28 N variants would be welcome There's also M1A1's and T90's in the game, but CH made his versions better. CH takes addons for DCS to a whole new level
  7. To be honest he's a very good texture artist, and has produced some very good realistic textures for the VSN F4 B/C, as well as some for Hawkeye's old Ka-52 alligator addon. That being said, he's incredibly rude, and has a very condescending manner when having dialogue with other modders especially novice creators, this leads me to believe English isn't his native language, constructive criticism is always welcome, rudeness and arrogance has no place in the forums

Unless you have some sort of modelling experience using 3d software, I'd suggest starting off with simple objects, that use simple shapes, the harsh reality is that nobody is going to teach you how to make stuff from scratch, on complex objects, start learning how to take simple low poly objects from the likes of sketchfab, and configure them into DCS first, physically creating the object is only a part of a much bigger process.
  10. ED has done something within the core files that prevents the gear of helo's from retracting , so CH has a workaround, this is more than likely the reason for the quick retraction(s)

  12. Can you explain the workaround you used to get the gear working? did you simply use the Nav Light args in place of the standard Gear ones ( 0/3/5) ?
  13. Now I know why my helo's with retractable gear weren't working !! How did you make the workaround work, if you don't mind me asking ?
  14. anything fbx or already in 3dsmax format. I'd have thought that adding them to your google drive and then sharing the link would be the best idea
  15. I'm sure that if you purchased it and donated it to CH, he'd happiliy oblige, but it's asking a lot to expect moddellers to pay for these models, and then give them away for free
  16. There's very few 3d models of the Panama/Desert storm Sheridans around that are not inexpensive, you could bastardise a commanders cupola , and the stowage basket I guess, but I too would love to see this little beauty in DCS
  17. you need to apply "smoothing" to the model as well.
  18. The two values, as far as I can gather are length (from fulcrum point) and width (props)
  19. I just use the arleigh burke wakes on my coastal (small) ships, as the High Speed default ( La Combattante) is hideous !
