Well I went and recreated it with the current Stennis. It seems to be a couple feet too narrow? Planes still make it but the wings should have probably collided.
It will be interesting to see what it's like with the supercarrier.
100% in steam, 1.0 PD in DCS, 2x MSAA (MFAA enabled in nvidia control panel). Jaggies are acceptable, performance is OK most of the time with a 1080ti.
Because when I have headphones set to helmet the tone is playing through my speakers. At least for the F-18 and F-14. I would think that would be something the pilot hears in his headphones.
Other weapons/moduel sounds I should be hearing in my headset, and I'm not:
Sidearm / AV-8B
Sidewinder / AV-8B
Sidewinder / F-16
And I presume every other module utilizing the sidewinder or sidearm.
I don't know if this is a systemic DCS issue or a specific issue with these modules but I'm reporting it here first.
It's just not finished yet as the aircraft is in early access. Heatblur is working on it and planning on adding hit skip bolters as well as hook damage. On speed AoA will be required to successfully trap in the F-14 once that's done. Until then, it's more forgiving to land the '14 on the deck than it is the '18.
I'm going to try swapping in some 1-1/2" extension springs from the hardware store. Should work and keep some additional tension on them at the center point.

This should have a bit more force but may not have enough deflection, but for $4 I'm willing to give it a shot.
This one is basically the same as the stock spring.

I've seen comments from people saying the scale of the current Stennis model is off (too small). I was just wondering how much more deck space we were looking at getting in the supercarrier? Given how many parking/spawn points that are planned it seems like it's quite a bit larger. Or is that area just being better utilized thanks to AI handling a lot of the taxi duties?
I doubt it's a lie but it IS gross negligence/incompetence.
My guess is the product will eventually start showing up. At least I hope it does for all of you that purchased one.
Can't say for sure but your best bet is to take a spring off and head to the hardware store and look at their extension springs to try to find something that will work.
I think it being WIP means that it's WIP. As in not final. As in subject to change. As in no reason to get our panties in a bunch when it's not even available to download yet. That's all.
Calling it awful is pretty inflammatory and not really constructive.
Right, that's what he said. Rotate before pulling.
Left click the handle first, then mouse wheel to pull it out.
The orientation of the text on the wheel indicates which position you have it in (either PARK or EMERG) once extended.
