The input angle of Harpoon missile has a large deviation.
KTFBGB replied to kaoqumba's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
I also found that they are “smart”. In that if you target a blue vessel it flies right on by. Run the same mission after turning that same ship to red and bingo. -
Can't add Large airplanes on southern Iranian airfields
KTFBGB replied to -Cipher-'s topic in Mission Editor Bugs
Is it possible that all those runways are shorter than the minimum takeoff distance needed for those large aircraft? I would just be guessing but if so maybe this is by design. -
Are you going into the HSI at the beginning of the mission and changing the elevation of all waypoints to 0 feet?
-
To elaborate a little... I have one pdf file that I labeled Flight info that has all the landing charts, the airfield info, case I and III procedures, etc. the first page is a mission data card that I can fill out with the Apple Pencil. Plus any coordinates or whatever that may pop up in the middle of a mission. That way at the end I just use the eraser function to clear it off for the next one. No more paper laying around all over the place. I also like to play TTI multiplayer. They have a pdf file on the website of their Kneeboard with all the radio frequencies, mission waypoints, etc. Then I have aircraft specific knee boards with pages from chucks guides and other sources for system specific procedures. I’m so addicted to the IPAD for this that the Only time I ever look at the in game Kneeboard is if they have mission specific charts in there. But most mission creators are providing links to mission documents so, you guessed it, onto the iPad it goes. It just wouldn’t work for folks using VR.

Look at the post directly above yours. Answered 15 minutes before you asked.

I just make my own Kneeboard pdf’s for each aircraft. I then pull up whichever one I’m flying on the iPad.

SPIN mode is not the master mode when engaged
KTFBGB replied to Revientor's topic in Bugs and Problems
Pg 39 of the early access guide state that the spin recovery system is obsolete and banned from use in the real hornet. It goes on to say that although it is modeled, it should not be used. -
I can’t say that I remember them looking any different. But I would venture to guess that we will get them when they done? In all seriousness though we all have access to the same info. News letters, mini updates, videos from wags, road map etc. I read all of them and haven’t seen any mention of upgraded textures. They are still very much a WIP so I would guess the textures will get upgraded at some point. One thing is for sure. Once we get it we will know it’s ready.

All DCS`s input devices on USB hub
KTFBGB replied to skywalker22's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Just to be clear. USB C is completely different than USB 3 or 3.1. USB C is a different class and size. USB 1 through 3.1 are all the same size. It’s not a US thing. If you have a current IPAD Pro. Then you have USB C port on that device and a USB C cable for charging regardless of where you are in the world. -
Usually they stop because all the bad guys are dead. If you want visuals then one around it is to make everyone invincible. Then they will shoot at each other until they are out of ammo.

This is a known bug. It’s been like this for a long time. You need to assign all AI Harriers to spots in front of you. It doesn’t have anything to do with you moving the throttle afaik.

Awesome!

Wags has a written, printable procedure in the mini updates for the TGP
-
You are correct, at least in AZ that’s what we call them. We get some pretty huge ones. Can’t imagine what they would be like in real life over there.
-
Check that you don’t have more than one binding for those on your set up somewhere. Sounds like something is over riding the mouse input. You could always run a repair if That doesn’t work. But sounds like a binding issue.
-
They are the turn knobs closest to your head on the overhead panel. Before you get to the breakers.
-
That’s what I thought as well. So, hopefully thanks to everyone in this thread, it makes it easier for ED to pinpoint the issue.
-
If the procedure is different than every other plane in DCS then we should just be notified. I never saw anything from Wags stating that arbitrary waypoints for navigation had any effect on ground target attack minus using Wpdsg for too mode with GPS weapons. If the pod is linked to NAV regardless of using the waypoint designate feature then fine. We just need to know. But that’s probably why old Ed missions and user missions were broke and making new missions fixed the problem. Because a lot of the Ed missions have air waypoints for navigation and if one of those was still selected say the point right before the IP and you didn’t scroll to the next point because you could see the target area, then the weapons wouldn’t work. I have a hard time believing that in the stock missions we have to go into every mission and change every waypoint to ground level to get the GBU’s to function properly.
-
Correct. Those work perfect. It’s just a bug with the LGB series. At least that’s what it’s looking like.
-
I was following wags process that he typed out in the mini update yesterday to check my procedure. Missed every single one. Never picked up the laser. Move all navigation waypoints to ground elevation rather than air. Every single one hits. Somehow the navigation elevation of the nearest waypoint was over riding the TPOD designation. That’s why the release que was so late.
-
Edit: just to clarify. It seems as though the TPOD is designating the spot directly above the selected target at whatever elevation the closest waypoint is set to. Again this is not with having wpdsg boxed. Of course if you are designating a waypoint as a tgt then it’s going to use that elevation. But that’s not what’s happening here.
-
Negative. Merely having the waypoint set in the HSI for navigation is what is messing it up. You have to have the waypoints set to ground. Not using wpdsg only navigation. If the waypoint is not set to ground elevation then you need to unbox WP on the HSI. It is linking to the WP elevation for whatever WP is selected. So for now just undesignate WP attack your targets then re select WP to continue navigation.

How many units are placed on the map?

Doesn't A-10C feel more flight capable in real life?
KTFBGB replied to Worrazen's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Ok cool. Just like in the wing flex post for the Hornet, as another user put it, you are again fervently agreeing again. You must argue, even when others completely agree with you. So, I’m not wasting any more time agreeing with you. -
Agree except for moving targets. I just manually deleted all mods to make sure nothing was left behind. Then I did a clean and repair. Can’t fly any more today but I’m going to test again with a pure vanilla configuration. The last big update had a big problems with mods including the sinking through the map from skins. So, worth a try in pure vanilla again in the morning and see what happens.
