Heres a scenario i need help with, theres a big target 100 miles away but hes bwaming/notching me, i know where he is but i simply cant get him on radar (multiplayer using jester btw). Whats the fastest way to lock and kill him? Will pulse mode work that far out? Do i have any options apart from screaming out ahead of him then turning in to defeat the beam/notch? Ps hes at 30k feet so going lower than him isnt a problem

will dinking the nose up 30 degrees acheive the same thing or not?

so if you shoot head on then turn 35 degrees it will automatically lose lock?

ive seen it keep tracking after breaking stt lock. does that work until you hit the gimbal limits then its gone?

ive never been able to get va to work anything like properly :(

is there anyway to slave the tcs to a tws contact?

if we have a 4 ship and i (lead) set my tacan to 01y a-a, if the other 3 set 64y a-a will they all have range but not bearing to me? and what will mine show me? how about if 1 and 3 set 01y and 2 and 4 set 64y, what happens then?

get used to judging it from the needle position, it becomes 2nd nature surprisingly quick

im in that process lol, i dont know when/how to use rate vs radius

tight turn circle is turn RADIUS thats a different thing to turn rate. turn radius is how much distance you cover in a 180 degree turn. turn rate is how much time it takes to turn the nose 180 degrees. i think the cat has the tightest circle because its corner speed is lower than everything else

at 15 units of aoa i tend to use a LITTLE stick to roll and some rudder too, is that correct or should i be using rudder only at 15 units? ps if you flat turn at corner speed will you out turn f16s and f18s?

i would suggest if shes shaking and sounding like a skeleton having a wank in a biscuit tin , then you are not in a sustained turn but an instant turn bleeding energy like a stuck pig. if you fly the tomcat like a fbw plane she will kill you, fly her like a warbird the size of a tennis court and she will reward you handsomly

just had a go on the server for the 1st time in my cat, ALOT of fun!!! ended up having a good back and forth with sirshotalot lol we even managed kill each other a few times AFTER we were technically dead lol
