The plane is easy to startup, takeoff and land on an airstrip - so the basics shouldn't be difficult to learn and could easily be done in an afternoon. Then go from there.

I'd say neither the 580 nor the 1060 will be sufficient to drive a Rift. That aside I would go with a used 580. Those are pretty cheap right now.

Most often than not, enabling this option didn't work properly in my DCS install. I have turned it off and have zero problems. So it definately is not necessary.

I don't think there will be anymore updates to this map.

How? Is it automatic when a plane approaches an airfield? Could you provide instructions for say the A-10C/F-15C and Batumi. A search for DCS arcal unicom ctaf frequencies yields no results in google. Edit: found a post on the wish list thread: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3382245&nojs=1. Has this been implemented?

The bug is that in the current open beta you can't request landing and so the runway/deck will not be illuminated. PCL is not available in DCS.

You're not alone. It is a bug with the carrier and airfield ATC.

Protected missions don't work in multiplayer. I think it's because the mission is downloaded and saved by all clients that connect to the server. ED would have to implement the mission copy protection scheme for multiplayer, before that could work.

As the A-10C and A-10A commands internal naming and function differ profoundly you have to map them separately. As the TM Warthog HOTAS is automatically mapped in the A-10C module, you would only have to change the joystick hat to the trim commands instead of view and assign the rudder. Pretty easy.

Looks like the drivers for the AMD card are really old: Driver Date/Size: 2015-07-15 01:00:00, 1445224 bytes. Maybe you could install a newer version; don't know if the stock AMD drivers work with the Mac Pro, but you could give it a try. Another thing: are the cards working in Crossfire mode? If so, try to turn it off.

Without SteamVR you can't play DCS in VR. If you don't need your Steam version of DCS any longer, you can ask the Steam support to delete it from your account.

Mit der derzeit aktuellen open beta Version hab ich auch massive fps Probleme (meistens <45 fps) mit meiner O+. In der release Version läufts >45fps. Keine Ahnung, was da wieder "optimiert" wurde...

It's only in the open beta, as far as I know.

My guess is, it will have Vulkan support. No way the current engine is easy on hardware. :smartass:

That's not doable without a scratch pad. But sometimes I don't even manage a single coord, when it's not somehow announced beforehand. Mix up 37T and 38T and you're completely borked without notes. Those are the examples of complex missions not properly doable in VR for me.

Anytime I need to input coords given by radio. The Enemy Within campaign is a good example: in one mission you get 3 target locations in a single radio call.
