Hi Bignewy, try to get it tracked. Just in case: If Floyd 1212 could send his track, it surly would help. Actually, I did the same, swapped seats, but it didn't help either.

How comes, that, after refueling and rearming, when I start again to continue the attack, there comes the message "No TEDAC available". Me Pilot, George AI. George is aiming via TADS, Hellfires WASed, (so the plan...). The premier attack, same procedure, was successful. Just after reloading, TEDAC is no longer working. Quite frustrating, when you're busy launching an attack and realize the system quit. So what am I doing wrong? No track at the moment. If necessary, I try to reproduce the scenario. Thanks in advance for your help.

Vielleicht hilft's. Mit dieser Einstellung fliege ich seit Jahren. Muss aber auch in manchen Situationen tatsächlich meinen Kopf bzw. Oberkörper etwas bewegen, sprich z.B nach vorne beugen. Speziell beim AH-64 sehe ich alles, was zum Überleben in der Luft nötig ist - und kann's dann auch händisch erreichen. Ansonsten: AH-64 z.Z. meiner unmaßgeblichen Meinung nach bestes Heli wo gibt... Hau rein - und schön üben!

Isn't there the possibility of mapping that button to a "H" / "Hold" position?. Talking about the old Cougar and Foxy. There I have the choice between just flipping the button and placing H in front of the mapping to stay in the chosen position. Together with toggle, it's perfect.

Moin CHPL, hat sich zwischenzeitlich erledigt. Habe das auch im englischsprachigen Forum mitgeteilt. Lag an der Belegung des Sticks in Verbindung mit Foxy (Thrustmaster HOTAS Cougar). Andere Belegung auf der Tastatur und schon lief's wieder. Danke für deine Reaktion

Fixed. Problem was the Foxy programming for the "oldy but goody" Thrustmaster Cougar. Just chosen another key on the keyboard and it worked again.

Trim reset not working. Trim OK. Seems to be a bug.

After the last update, Trim-Reset isn't working anymore. Trim OK, but when I want to reset during flight, there is no reaction. In controls, the corresponding buttons are working. Nevertheless, I can't switch between Trim and Trim reset. Any solutions? Many thanks in advance for your help

Moin, kleines Problem seit letztem Update: Trimmer klappt, aber Reset nicht. Soll heißen, während des Fluges kann ich trimmen, jedoch nicht resetten trotz korrekter Belegung in den controlls. Was mache ich falsch / übersehe ich? Im Voraus für Eure Hilfe dankend Hans

Ich schrieb für Laien. Zugegeben, auch ich schreibe mir bei fremdsprachlicher Fachliteratur unbekannte Begriffe zunächst auf, um sie anschließend nachzuschlagen. Jedoch macht man sich auch in der Fachliteratur die Mühe, Abkürzungen in Klammern gleich zu erklären. Macht das fließende Lesen einfacher. Aber es sollte nur eine Anregung sein und es liegt mir fern, hier eine ausgebreitete Diskussion loszutreten.

Hallo zusammen, vielleicht schreibe ich ja doch auch im Interesse einiger weiterer SIM Piloten: Die häufig verwendeten militärischen Abkürzungen in den Erklärungen auf gestellte Fragen sind mir (und sicher auch dem Einen oder Anderen) nicht so geläufig. Mag deren Verwendung auch von beträchtlichem Fachwissen zeugen, so ist es doch für den Laien wenig hilfreich und wohl eher frustrierend. Eine in Klammern eingefügte kurze Übersetzung wäre hilfreich. Just a thought: How is the real bird reacting? Is it really not necessary to do anymore, even the smallest adjustments after hitting ATT Hold? I can imagine, that you still have to keep an eye on the controls and do some small adjustments from time to time to keep it in position. Is it possible, that we just expect too much?

@Floyd1212: You're right. Zero wind. Will try with different weather settings. So best ignore my comment.

Hm, can't get it. Always after Take Off, I immediately switch to hover by pressing ATT Hold. BUT only after the bird isn't moving any longer in any direction. Only then I press ATT Hold. It just evens out and that's it. Cyclic is in "INSTANT TRIM (FFB FRIENDLY)" and Pedals "WITHOUT SPRINGS AND FFB". Same with level flight. Reduce speed to zero and keep it - if it helps - in the BOB (toggling the symbology select switch AFT) by sensibly playing with pedals, collective and cyclic. When centered, press ATT Hold. Works fine for me. Takes just some training and patience...

"Charly" Madison describes just this training method in detail in her book "dressed to kill". Definitely worth reading when interested in this helicopter.

Just recognize that I always fly in transition mode. Works fine for me, even hovering or pinpoint landing. Think, matter of training, training... and patience.

As far as I remember, "Charlie" Madison, first British female AH-64 Pilot, mentions in her fantastic book "Dressed to Kill", starting the bird from the backseat and then switching to the front for further procedures, while the Pilot takes his position. So, generally, starting from the pilot's seat.

Mal nur so eine Idee: warum dreht ihr (lasst drehen...) nicht einfach zwei Buchsen. 3x Gewinde schneiden für Madenschrauben zur Rohrfixierung nicht vergessen. Innengewinde entsprechend Sockel bzw. Stick und Bohrung Ø 25 mm (Alu Rohr vom Baumarkt). Passendes Kabel 5-adrig von alter Maus und die Stecker von Conrad o.ä. Ablängen, Kabel verlöten und alles zusammenschrauben. Auf diese Art könnt ihr verschieden lange extensions anfertigen und den Griff passend in die gewünschte Richtung verdrehen. Fliege so seit nunmehr fast 20 Jahren (siehe Bilder...).

Sounds to me like the wish list. My only question: How is the real thing behaving, and how close to it are we in our simulation? And one more: extended stick or not? Besides that, I just expect - flying a helicopter - to be constantly busy with little inputs via pedals and cyclic. It is a whirly bird and no fixed wing flying machine. I just like that bird.
