  1. I would piggyback off of #4 to say AG selection should flow. Selecting Mk-82 should then bring you to a station list which should then bring you to quantity (and if ripple selected) should then cycle through ripple settings.
  2. Updated DCS (haven't played since MT patch) to check the ME.... 29.92 20C (coldest temp allowed in Marianas in March apparently) and 17,500lb. Needed 111% to Hover and that SHOULD be about 22,000lb thrust at 15C.
  3. Haven't flown since the update, but I do recall stories from pilots talking about how the A+/B finally let the F-14 operate above the low 30s without afterburner. Maybe this is what they meant? Also, the F-14 unlike many other planes does not vary significantly between a heavy AA load and a common AG load.
  4. Kinetic. The bomb is 250lb, 7in diameter, impacting near mach 1. Most the weight is casing. Google "Small Diameter Bomb Penetration" and look at the images, you will see images of it penetrating a shelter and exploding on the inside. SDBII is better suited to tanks as it has moving target capabilities and a larger, shaped charge, warhead.
  5. But the harrier CANT carry it is the point. The individual pylons can, but flutter/separation issues meant limitations on what two neighboring pylons could carry and employ.
  6. They are 250lb class GPS guided glide bombs carried four at a time on a special rack. They have a small warhead for minimized collateral damage and have decent penetration abilities.
  7. About 17:50. Engine page gave 86s OT time when I started. Re watching I exceed RPM limit then JPT goes up then I start plummeting. Is VTO margin that small that I can climb only 1,000ft when at low weight?
  8. In a ME mission, Marianas map, air start, I can open the engine page as soon as I load and see various time of OT time on the engine. This greatly impacts my ability to perform landings. Attached is a log of one such load and a video of several reboots of the mission showing the issue (38s, 34s, 10s, 20s) I have seen over 100s of OT time on mission start even. Even with 1300lb fuel, no water, and a gun pod (ME weight says 17500, VREST page says 18500) and Dry VTO F=W of ~2500# yet 111% needed to hover. Full power let me climb 700ft in a minute and then the engine died. Edit* pre 3/10 patch https://youtu.be/kbHJ16zA7Z8 OT.trk
  9. I wish more planes gave the option of sticking a picture in the cockpit, that would be fun.
  10. The purpose is to allow the Pilot to "talk" the RIO onto a target such as a building or bridge that otherwise cannot be targeted by Jester.
  11. Fun fact, Gruman Techs had to take scour pads to the cockpits of new F-14s to properly weather them. That IS a brand new Tomcat. </s>
  12. maybe removing the Phoenix pallets actually does something
  13. I think incorporating the Community A-4 as a built in model is a novel idea. It is truly wonderful and already available for free.
  14. I can't say about across the board, but I have had massively failed tracks with F-14, AV-8B, and Su-27, so two third parties and an FC3. I rarely ever bother with tracks because of the bad experiences I have had with them.
  15. track replays are so broken right now they can't even be used as a debugging tool (see dropping two bombs instead of ten) but this is 100% an ED issue.
  16. single player, no AI, desync in under a minute. Will not work.
  17. Which doesn't help people who "want to build video off of a sortie with differing points of view." And it is NOT just the F-14 and Simple means nothing. I had a non-F-14 flight in SP where I took off, turned around, dropped some bombs. Less than four minutes and under 360 degrees of total heading change and the tracks deviated by so much that in reviewing the track I dropped 2 bombs instead of 10 and was over a mile short and over a mile to the right of where I was in the flight.
  18. Instead of doing every landing call and seeing "No Grade - Lack of Communication" on touchdown?
  19. As I recall once the F-1 showed up with advanced French RWR/ECM the Cat was no longer invulnerable and they actually lost a few before they adjusted tactics.
  20. Then there's the H-1. From UH-1A to AH-1Z
