  1. Oh sorry, The description of the video had a typo .

    F-15E vs. F-18C

The lines of the Tomcat are all swagger and power.
  3. you need an extra zero. You have 10011, you need 100011
  4. This video should cover what you need Oh, you need to set the action COMMAND: box to 100011 and VALUE: box to 1 On the right side No condition needed?
  5. You mean I might actually find a plane I can do it in?
  6. The P-47 might as well be a freight train on the ground. I remember testing it out and realizing I can slam on the brakes and not flip the tail up.
  7. I think you still need a condition
  8. Love me some Fighter Fling. 2003 and 2004 were my favorite.

yes in fact in one interview they said the front seater and MP backseater can independently target and fire Mavericks
  10. I'm happy for the community at large for the F-4E, but I am another one who will be waiting for the Naval Phantom. The only non FC3 planes I have that are not carrier capable are the A-10C (the old one, from before DCS had World after it) and the F-16 (the plane I tried to fly as a career). Everything else has a tail hook, vectored thrust, or is a Helo. Then I did some quick mental math and realized I have all the modules with tailhooks (all official plus the excellent A-4). "Runways are lame" seems to be the theme of my module buying
  11. That no matter what it is set to both seats fire when the handles are pulled by the RIO.
  12. No, he wants to eject just himself and leave the pilot in a convertible.
  13. Looking at Figure 2-15 the dashed AV-8B line on Mach side 8deg in AUTO corresponds to ~0.825 or 500KCAS. I'm pretty sure I was nowhere near that fast. This was all done a while ago, pre 2.7. I'll retest and see what's what. I was loaded with Gun, TPOD, 10x LJDAM, 2xSidearm. I was HEAVY! Thanks for pointing me to the NATOPS, I forgot I even had one.
  14. The load I had even if I leveled off the AUTO would only go to 8. I guess it is situational dependent?
  15. I split the throttles for throttle and nozzle and use the grey slider for the nozzle stop
  16. I find, in the Sim at least, that when heavy I have to move flaps to cruise to reduce drag when trying to get above 25,000ft.
  17. LOL! Enjoy! It's my favorite platform for everything not Air to Air.
  18. Other than Jolly Rogers the B doesn't have any cool paint schemes, I agree. VF-101 for me (grew up outside NAS Miramar)
  19. Hey, that's me! Tried to fly it in BFM like a Hornet and never got shot down, because I stall/spun/crashed/exploded myself. Decided to never go over 15 AoA and realized I could control it. I eventually step by stepped by comfort zone up the AoA ladder until I am just fine with 30 AoA, but ya still need to know when and how.
  20. god? using "115%" throttle (if 100% is mil and 120% is full blower) to cruise at 73,000ft at M2 kinda qualifies for a fighter, no?
  21. Make sure you are under 225 when you drop them before landing and that you pull them up immediately after takeoff.
  22. This is a bit confusing. How did you put them into manual? What repetitions were you doing? Because the only two reasons I can see the wing not going back when commanded by the normal four way switch is because the system needs to be reset (emergency lever was used?) or the landing flaps are jammed.
  23. Pucks interview on sunsetting the Tomcat mentioned locking the Tanker from 170nm when the APG-71 couldn't even see it. Also the statement of "if it was flying we could see it" is a low key way of saying he saw F-117s on IRST
  24. https://youtu.be/DJyeusmGrhs It's been a while, but here is a video I made comparing the current state of flight models for the Tomcat, Hornet, and Viper
  25. have realistic expectations though, you will not get a hands off level trim at max speed. AP "might" help once acceleration rates die off.
